If you are a business owner i suggest you come by your (BEVERAGES) over here. If you are a Beer, Wine, And cider addict then theirs no place to be like this one. The prices are on the floor when you compare them to grocery and deli stores, Or even when you go out to a restaurant or bar. This kind of deal makes you want to start your own business. (BEWARE) Parking is a nightmare i suggest you come with some one so they can either wait a block down. The only down side about this place is that the parking they provide is really small. Its always full and i rather park my car outside since theirs so many people with shopping carts passing real close by the cars you never know what kind of scratches or bumps you might find. Keep in mind this place only accepts (CASH ONLY). Its always good to come to this place with a list of they Beverages you want to buy since this is a really busy place and the lines can get very deep. If your a beer lover keep in mind they have all beer types from the smallest to the biggest. Even when i do come here with a list of what i have in mind, It takes me about 45 minutes to finally decide everything i want to buy. The choices are so much sometimes is hard to decide. If something is heavy and you need help they do that people walking around assisting you. Keep in mind most of the workers are very bad speaking English. They also carry Soda, Juices, Sports Drinks, Cocktail Mixers, Water, and much more. The staff is very friendly and the cashiers are all beautiful women. They have about 10 Cashier booths so the lines sometimes are fast. This is a great place to buy if your doing a BBQ, Private Party, Celebration, Graduation, Any type of even i know for sure this is the best place for you to come and spend your money right on Beverages. Been shopping at Flair for over 20 yrs. I was shocked last month to see a girl attack another girl in the customer service booth with no intervention. Word among customers said it's the owners sugar baby, Nathalie Vasquez and her father Gabriel Vasquez that set up for the girl to get jumped. Sad to see people like this are allowed to attack employees. Very uncomfortable to watch. Heard the dad Gabriel has a hand problem too attacking managers. Flair offers great prices on beer but needs to prioritize safety and professionalism for returning customers. That girl Nathalie was very low class and looks too old to fight in a beer store. read more

They do have the best prices around. Somewhat disorganized, hard to find what your looking for. If your a 1st time customer you have to roam around until find your product. Aisles could be labeled with products in that aisle to assist customers. Still strictly all cash but atleast they broke down and installed an ATM. read more

Huge selection and extremely reasonable prices!!! The staff were pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable of the products. You can pretty much find most imports and if you don't find it the staff will assist to let you know if they carry the beverage or not. Thoroughly impressed and high key recommend! read more

Good prices and convenient location. They have a very good selection of beer. Normally the whole process works pretty smoothly, but sometimes they get backed up and there is a wait. Also to note they only take cash but they do have a cash machine on sight. read more

What a HUGE place. Almost a football field full of beverages. Soda. Seltzer. Sports drinks. Beer. Beer. Beer. Nice helpful staff. They have a parking lot so that's convenient. It's a bit of a trip from Queens but worth it if you are buying a lot. Which you can, since the prices are really good too. read more

*EDIT* 07/21/10 They now use price scanners. What more can I add? Been coming here for years. In fact, I just returned home from a Flair run no less than 30 minutes ago, with a case of Guinness pub draught cans in tow. I really, really like beer, and this is literally what I imagine my heaven to look like. I thank the lord Jeebus that he saw fit to put me into a lovely apartment just four subway stops south of the Temple of Flair. Like it's already been said, this place is CASH ONLY, so be forewarned. But there is an ATM right next door at the cigarette place. But to save the ATM fee (so as you can buy more BEER!) come with cash already in hand. You must be vigilant at the checkout. Amazingly enough, nothing here is scanned. The cashier enters prices basically from her memory (or yours), so know your prices. A small notepad would be helpful if you're buying many different items. The prices here are VERY CHEAP (basically wholesale to the public), and if of some incomprehensible reason you don't like or drink beer, they have 150 foot aisle after 150 foot isle stocked with every beverage type imaginable. Go here. Go here now! read more

One day I was reading a beer newspaper, when something caught my eye; Flair--which I previously didn't know about--listed specials on a number of Dogfish Head beers. I was very high up on Dogfish Head at the time (and still fairly new to craft beer), and wanting to try all of the beers they make. While the prices and selection was good, I was living in Orange County at the time and this would be an hour and a half ride down to the city mostly for beer. Then I saw that they have Squall IPA. Dogfish Head had just finished making the last of Squall as they discontinued it. It was impossible to find. Given this, I called ahead to make sure they had it, and decided to make the trek down. I get there, park in their small parking lot, and go in to find where the Dogfish Head is. Their selection wasn't quite as impressive as I was hoping for; they'll have what they advertise, but most of the place was just random soft drinks and BMC beers. I get to the Dogfish Head section, and there's no Squall. One person claimed they just sold out, another said they haven't had any for some time. I was pretty pissed off, but grabbed a few beers and made my way to the register. After a load of attitude from one of the cashiers who rang me up, I left underwhelmed and disappointed. It's also cash only, which doesn't make any sense but was fine. I eventually found Squall at a place up in Yonkers, but I still came way out of my way to go here for what amounted to nothing. While the attitude of some employees is great and they'll help you as much as they can (even if they aren't super knowledgeable), the attitude of others can be shitty. Of course, the ones with a bad attitude also don't a damned thing about what they're selling. If you live near Flair, it might be worth going to. But if you're downtown or anywhere else in the city, find somewhere else. Flair seems to be overrated here because Manhattanites don't know the other options. Hit Super Buy-Rite in Jersey City or Brooklyn Beverage in Brooklyn, or Half Time if you're upstate. The prices aren't better than other bargain beer stores, and the curation/service is sub par. read more

This really is the spot to buy beer. I'd always known that to be the case around Memorial Day or the Fourth of July when I needed to get a case or two for the barbecue in the park or the house party, but it wasn't until my most recent visit that I realized that beyond the great selection of beers from around the world and the super cheap prices, Flair HAS A GREAT SELECTION OF CRAFT BEER. That's right. Deep in the back, in a couple of unassuming rows flanked by the cases of beer from such rarely-found-in-the-US-beers as Tyskie and Cuzqueña, there are beers from The Bruery, Hitachino, Dogfish Head, Founder's and the likes. And I'm not just talking six packs, there were single bombers abound. How long these have been available here I'll never know, since I was sort of late to the American craft beer game and usually came here for European and other international beers that you'd never find in any bodega uptown. But they're there now and at the great prices you expect from Flair, which speaking of which, I just learned was the name when I looked the place up on Yelp, because for all my years in the city it was just 'THE beer spot.' Be warned that the place gets crazy around the big holiday celebrations and the line winds through the store with people pushing carts loaded with 10-15 cases of beer, cases of juices and sodas, and a generally chaotic atmosphere. If you're wise, you'll just cut all the cart-pushers and find your way to a cashier at the front who could care less where you came from as long as you're ready to pay. But be warned, THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY! I'd forgotten this and had to leave behind a number of good beers I was eager to buy because I didn't have enough cash and wasn't about to pay the nearby ATM $3-5 to get more. Also, be aware that the cashiers are very ruff around the edges and really lack in decor and politeness, don't take it personal. Just realize that a lot of uptown girls long ago eschewed personality thinking their looks will carry them. Take pleasure in knowing the day will come when they realize that they'll come crashing down to earth like many a gal before them. read more

Simple and well laid out. Low prices are displayed by large signs showing price of case/6 pack and per unit cost. carts and wagons available to make shopping easy. REMEMBER This is a CASH ONLY transaction here, so to avoid ATM charges hit the ATM at your local bank first. Well worth the trip to the bank for the savings here. If you drive this is a great place to "stock" up. Pretty good selection of beers and beverages to choose from, to the point where you may decide to try something new without a lot of risk"price". For drivers: If you are used to driving in NYC this is not a problem, traffic at certain times of the day can be a nightmare on the Deegan South "Bronx side. I usually come from the UES Via Harlem River Drive to the end at 10th Ave. If you are coming from the BX across Fordham RD. have a good cd/MP3 on. If you take the train, which I have not, I would say bring rolling luggage and a friend or two and you should be fine. Keyword here is ROLLING. Beer is heavy. If walking, bring a wheelbarrow or donkey. All in all Flair is DEFINITELY worth the trip how ever you get there. Plan ahead and you are golden :) As a side note, I went there the day before New Years Eve and it was crowded with store owners but the service was quick and fluid. In and out Remember... For buying beer in Inwood there aren't many better places to go. The selection is good and getting better all the time. I was in shortly before Thanksgiving and met the man who had taken over the beer end of things. He promised it would be improving and it certainly has. Getting to Flair Beverage can be an epic journey. First, you have to make sure to stop at your bank to get cash, because they don't take cards. Secondly, you may have to pass by the Bizarre Bazaar on 207th street and resist the urge to spend your cash on a third hand blender or a pile of VCR remotes. Then you have to brave the traffic crossing the street. This is only a half joke; there's a lot of cars going into and out of the Bronx during the day, so you need either patience or bravery to get into Flair. Once you're there, just head straight back and marvel at the joyous array of beers. They've got everything you could want in terms of mass production domestics and imports. The guys coming by for a football game? Grab the Budweiser. People getting together to watch Dr. Who? Snag a case of Newcastle. Having a Turkish friend over to try the new beef bacon? Give them a taste of home with a six pack of Efes. When you get to the craft section, you'll be rewarded for your efforts. They don't have everything under the sun, but they've got something for everyone and a wide range of styles and offerings. There are understandably a lot of New York/East Coast breweries and most will be familiar labels, but you'll see a few unknowns and have access to a wider range of stuff than most bars will have on tap. Their selection of large-format bottles is quality too. In the last few months they've been stocking a selection of Italian beers that are intended to be aged. Checking out can be a pain. Not because the lines are long; they handle the commercial buyers (you'll see plenty of guys loading up on cases and cases of drinks ) on separate lines from the private consumers. The delay comes when you actually get to your cashier. Some things they scan, some things they have to hunt down on a screen of possible options. I'm not sure why, but the workers always seem completely unable to figure out the name of the brewer. It doesn't take forever, but it always makes me a little annoyed that they don't either spend more time maintaining their product database or training their workers. Last but not least, bring bags. They don't have any, plus you'll generally get more than you originally intended. Best value at the moment there is Narragansett, it comes in a lager, a cream ale and a bock, all fantastically drinkable and only $1 per can. It's like PBR but with flavor. read more

This place is incredible. There are mountains of beer everywhere and little hills of almost every other kind of beverage imaginable (except wine and hard liquor). They even have baby kegs, baby sparkling apple cider (which I had never seen before in my entire life), and baby coronas (coronitas). HOW ADORABLE!! If you're throwing a party, come here to get your beer shopping done. Prices are unbelievably cheap and the selection is pretty decent. The staff ranges from knowledgable to confused, but in general, all them were nice enough and willing to help. If you have no way to get here by car, it's easily accessible by the 1 train. You should bring a rolling suitcase or backpack. We definitely looked shady, I'm pretty sure people were judging us, and it was freaking heavy, but hey, whatever it takes to throw a party on budget! read more

Whenever I'm throwing a party I always hit up Flair Beverages beforehand! Wholesale prices on a staggering range of beverages? I'm totally there. They have: sodas, vitamin waters, bottled juices, tonics and ice, not to mention that about half of this warehouse is devoted to beer! They have most anything you can think of and some you wouldn't have expected (Tiger Beer, anyone?). You can purchase by the case, six-pack or bottle. In all instances, everything is very inexpensive. It's a quick walk from the 1 train at 207th, but if everything turns out to be more than you can carry you can call a car service to pick up you and your haul if you live nearby. Though it is CASH ONLY, you can run to the ATM in the wholesaler next door for some green. read more

SO awesome. The yelper in me wants to ding a star because they don't have the _BEST_ beer selection, but this place is just so amazing that I can let it pass. it's just like the Costco drinks aisle in California, but it's a whole store. And of course the variety is much larger. They have a focus on Latino specialty sodas and beers, which is to be expected due to its Bronx/Inwood straddling location. (They have Jarritos in all the flavors!) Some people say they sell wine here, but that's wrong; they only sell 'wine product', the disgusting, low-ABV bastard child of marketing and NY state liquor laws. Basically, they sell beer, malt drinks (Mike's, Smirnoff Ice), and nonalcoholic drinks, period. tl;dr I got a 12-pack of Harp for $12 after CRV. I could've also gotten a 6-pack of Lone Star for $5. That's really all that needs to be said. And then I took it on the conveniently located subway. Bam. read more

This is a great place to make bulk purchases for parties. It's too far from my house to frequent on a regular basis, but whenever I'm planning a major event for a lot of guests, I always go to Flair.. They have such a great selection from mainstream popular beers to a variety of craft beers. They also have soda, juices, iced tea, water. Flair services many Manhattan restaurants, so they have all you need. Well worth the trip to Inwood! read more

Dirt cheap if they have your beer. Sierra nevada, buy a case or two, or Heffenweissen. cash only and traffic is a draw back. Some Cali. beer is cheaper than Pa. I dont think they know pricing but I found that in several urban areas. I'll be back for some Ommegang. read more

This place is amazing! Every time I have a craft beer craving, I head up there and I'm never disappointed. And obviously, I always come home with more than I had planned on. The prices are great and the selection is astounding! And you can see if from the 207th street 1 platform, so it couldn't be easier. And don't be scared away by the complaints about the "register girls" and their attitudes. You're here for cheap beer, not a Michelin-rated experience. Come on, now. Stop your whining and drink up! read more

This is THE place to be to get your beer shopping done. They got everything AND it's affordable but....cash only, so make sure you hit the ATM before you get there. The ladies at checkout can be a little bitchy, but I usually don't care about that when i got delicious beer around me. read more

Cheap Cheap did i say cheap beer? This place is great if you like to drink beer or have an event coming up. They have every type, every brand every flavor, even found a type I had only seen in Europe and couldn't find here in the USA. It's CASH ONLY. Come prepared. The only bad thing about this place is that the guys that work there or at least load the Beverages don't speak much English, I speak Spanish as well, but they still did not seem to know much about pricing for certain things. Nonetheless most of the beverages have prices listed. They also have soda, juices, some wines, wine coolers, hard ciders. No reason for you to pay retail prices for beer or bevarages when you can come here. I spelled beverages wrong because I'm already drunk. read more

Mother of God. It's the Costco of liquids! Seriously, I don't drink that much, but when I do, I go here first. The selection of beer is fantastic, I can find cases of Vitamin Water for dirt cheap, and ginger beer or a nice dark and stormy! Beware the parking lot, it's tough when all of the local restaurants are loading up their inventory. read more

This must be where restaurants get there beers and beverages since they have so much to choose from, and very fair pricing! I came here to get a hard cider that is hard to find, and in another store (Whole Foods.) is $3+ ... It's a huge warehouse, but very neat for the most part. Everything is very easy to find. The only thing is they don't accept debit/credit cards so it is suggested to bring your money stealthily of course. This is the Bronx. read more

Prices are super low for everything, especially beer. Fairly good variety too. The store is not that busy, though it is also not insanely organized so you might spend some time walking around. Only deducted some stars because A) Cash only, and they will charge you a deposit for the bottles, and B) parking is crazy despite the close by supermarket. read more

Flair Beverage is great beer distributor, and a pretty good substitute for a mother's love. I used to live in Washington Heights and would make trips to Flair routinely. Bring a backpack, an old-lady shopping cart, and a fistful of 20s then go to town at this place. You get here for $6 what costs $12 in bodegas. And the selection is second only to New Beer Distributors in the Bowery. You can come here a dozen times and never scratch the surface. This place competes with the Cloisters and Presbyterian Hospital for being able to attract people far and wide to Inwood/Washington Heights. And for good reason. It might not have the cultural cachet of the Cloisters or serve the public good like Presbyterian, but you can find a buttload of delicious, cheap, and obscure beer. read more

Wholesale distributer and open to the public everyday including Sunday. Local delis and bodegas buy their stock here and now you can too at the same prices. Imported and domestic Beer available in Sixes, Twelves, Cases, 5liter minikeg etc. No kegs Cheapest in Manhattan. Soda, water, mixers, aiternative alcoholic malt beverages available. Cash only! And watch the cashiers, often ring up the wrong size (6x24oz instead of 6x 12oz) Too bad the Restrooms are filthy read more

Finally went here this weekend after seeing it from the 1 train daily.. Wow, great selection, great prices! Cash only, but who cares when the prices are so low! Bring your own bags/cart or you'll be hauling everything by hand like I had to!! Can't go back to buying from bodegas and grocery stores when I know I can save so much money! Will be back next weekend :) read more

Best place to get kegs. Cheapest prices and good service. Clean store too

This place gets 4.5 stars, only because they don't take credit. Other than the credit snafu, this place is unbelievable. he prices are ridiculously cheap, the selection is through the roof, and its right in my backyard! This spot has been here for years, and I use to go in for soda and juice, now I can add beer and cheap wine to the mix. Niiiiice! read more

Yup, I'm with ya on Flair's, Steve. I know I've spent more than I care to remember in this place over the years, even though their prices are fantastic. That's a lot of beer. They supply most of the bodegas in the area, so don't be put off by the immensity of the place, or the frequent hustle and bustle. It's one of those places where you walk up and down the aisles oohing and aahing and saying things like, "I love that stuff. Let's get some." It's fun to experiment and find new favorites too. I always go to Flair before having a party...and often before attending one. read more

This store is terrific. Wholesale beer and drinks. Imagine Costco for drinks, but no membership required. Prices are great and beer selection is pretty impressive. They carry Kalik, which is a Bahamian beer I have not seen anyplace else in the city (and my reason for going). I will definitely be returning. As mentioned in other reviews they are cash only. Also, I think it works best if you have a car. It is very close to the 1 train (and 10 min from the A), but it wasn't easy carrying and maneuvering two cases of beer on the subway. read more

Yes yes yes. Great place to stock up for any event or party. They have everything and the prices are half what you would pay anywhere else. Only drawback is the cash only policy, but there are no complaints for prices like these. read more

Huge warehouse in a shitty neighborhood with a very good selection of beers at extremely reasonable prices, especially for New York. Reserve a Zipcar and stock up. Just remember to bring cash. This is where I bought my Sam Adams Utopias for only $180 (normally $200 or more). They sell other drinks, too, but this is a review for beer fans. You can find great things here, mostly recent production but some leftover stock worth sifting through. Make sure the hot chicas who ring you up don't overcharge for anything by mistake. read more

They carry absolutely everything (at the lowest cost). Can't go wrong. They only accept cash btw.

Very easy to get to and crazy low prices. Got a case of stella , 6-pack of blue moon, and a 6-pack of mythos all for less than $60. You will be well stocked after your visit. Was not all that busy on a Saturday afternoon. Like all other reviews state: CASH ONLY read more

Beer heaven. They have pretty much everything under the sun. If you're a craft beer drinker, this place is for you. They have everything you can imagine. And even if you're not coming for a fancy stuff, their selection and prices on domestic cases (coors, miller bud, etc) definitely can't be beat. Every time I go over there I'm in there for at least half an hour, even if I knew what I was going in for. Their selection is just nuts. Great deals on soda, bottled water, iced tea, and the like. I would recommend driving if you have a car. The 1 train is right on 207 about an avenue over, but it can be a pain to lug everything around. They have a parking lot. Also, if I remember right they don't have bags so if you plan on taking the train, bring a bag! read more

Fabulous selection! Although both times I was there for something specific they were sold out, I found something else that's equally awesome! And the price was great, even on the craft brews that happens to trend! It's cash only and the cashiers don't give a crap, but the everyone else who work there really know the place in and out, and are very helpful in finding what you are looking for and don't bullsh*t you with something else if they happen to run out of stock what you are looking for. read more

Otherwise known as "Beer Wonderland" in our house. If I didn't work in NJ I'd probably buy all my beer here... good selection and excellent prices. Cash Only. awesome spot!! cheap prices and good beer selection! read more

This place is a great deal. Its got a lot of beverages for a lot less than you'll find them at grocery stores. A lot of the beers they have are the same beers that you'll find at the groceries but for much less. e.g. A six pack of Brooklyn Lager is ~$7.40! Six pack of Stone Pale Ale is $9.50!! It is almost half off typical NYC prices. Domestics are *crazy* cheap; bud, coors, corona, etc... if you're gonna throw/attend a party get your beer here. That being said they don't exactly have an overwhelming selection of beers and the staff isn't there to be helpful. They're there to move product and get you out the door--you know, they know it. read more

Fuck yes! This place redeems my low opinion of New York beer purveyors. Enormous selection, and the prices! I purchased a six-pack of Brooklyn Brown Ale and Saranac's IIPA and a single bottle of Montenegrin Nikićko lager. Oh, how blissfully reasonable their prices are. I don't care that it is at the top of Manhattan Island, I will shop no where else for beer here! read more
