Huntington does not charge me fees for random crap (of course, I also made sure to turn overdraft…read moreprotection off) and the tellers are generally friendly. However, I have two major gripes with Huntington - specific to this location. The first is issue is that twice I have had to have documents faxed over to verify my accounts. The process is that I give the bank the form, the bank sends it to "corporate" (per their rules), and THEY fax it to the person who needs to verify it (whose number is on the form). TWICE now, they have screwed this up (of two attempts)... and TWICE now it has taken over a week to realize the "error". Simple forms and placing a name or signing in the correct spot should not be rocket science. The second time when I explained the process to the teller I was immediately asked to sit and wait for a banker to talk with me (just to fax a form). I was hopeful this meant that I would be taken care of more thoroughly but it clearly did not. The MAIN issue that I deal with REGULARLY with THIS branch (and only this branch) is their ATM. Many Huntingtons in my area are walk-up ATMS. I prefer the drive up ATMs, especially since I do a lot of my transactions in the evening/night. I have never had a bank that has customers who habitually pull right up to my bumper while I am making a withdrawl. Every other bank always has customers who park several car lengths behind while the person completes their transaction. Consider the fact that this particular location's ATM is hidden from view of the main street and backs up to an residential area where anyone could easily take off after a robbery and it is even more frustrating. I know it is not the bank who makes STUPID customers but I can not believe that they are not aware of this problem that has been going on in the two years I have been banking there. I would strongly hope that the bank could install signage to direct ATM users to "stop" at a certain point if there is another car using the ATM. It's not a good feeling when you are making deposits at night with your child in the backseat and a car comes whipping up from behind right up to your bumper. Perhaps people aren't getting robbed anymore, but let me tell you from someone who has been - it's the longest half second of my life when you watch in your sideview mirrors to make sure the doors aren't popping open and someone's running up to your vehicle. Shame, because otherwise I enjoy banking with them.. but I would like to get the few minutes taken off my life each time I make a deposit back. -- Update: They have changed the policies at this branch and I no longer have to wait for documents to be faxed offsite, thus eliminating the potential for error. Yay! Unfortunately, people still pull right up to my bumper in the middle of ATM transactions and scare the F*ck out of me.

They have the standards like free coffee and couches for you to sit down, purell for when you leave, and although small, this bank feel comfortable. I like the fact that the employees are friendly, courteous, smiling, like they're always having a good day =) I've done my banking here for a few years and I have a safety deposit box here too.. I love Chase because of how convenient it is to find a branch or ATM anywhere, and I believe their mortgage and financial products are very competitive. Multiple times I was reminded that online services would not be available through the weekend. So, on Monday, I expected to login and access my account(s). Not so fast. Your password has to be changed. I did so. Next, five questions have to be answered from a random list. I am away from home, and only want to check balances. I don't have time for this nonsense. I try to login from the road after a long day at work. No can do, the online system is down 'for maintenance'. I return home, go through the process, only to find that I *have to be home* to receive a verification code on my home phone. I couldn't have accessed the system on the road in the first place. I have been disappointed in the past with the way they handle vehicle loans, deciding to utilize other financial institutions in the area for that purpose. I call and went into my branch to get a copy of any and all closed IRA,s and they could not find it at my branch. i need proof of closures for MDHHS so i can get my benefits renewed i got the run around i am doing all the leg work. I called the 888-841-6519 IRA specialist and she said that they would get it out for me . The problem is i need it by the 16 of this month or i lose my benefits. The specialist said it would the 17th. I went into my local branch talked t0 the bank supervisor. He called and told m to compose a letter email it to him and he would email it to whomever that was Monday it is now 931.pm on Friday have not had any response for m any one.
