My flagpole and installation came out great! Exceeded our expectations. The staff helped me make the right decision on what type and length pole would work best. They evaluated my photos of a helium balloon on a string at different elevations. The pole was driven and delivered from Michigan to east Tennessee and the installer worked very hard to get it right. This was in a difficult location on a slope next to a lake in the mountains where equipment access was impossible so he dug it by hand! Commercial grade and good value. We are beyond pleased and love that it's all MADE IN THE USA too! read more

we ordered a flag pole that was supposed to come fully assembled. Not only is it missing parts but it is did not come fully assembled. We are having trouble getting in contact with the company to find out where the missing parts are. We've been getting nothing but the runaround. Would not recommend doing business with this company. Everyone was very pleasant but they are all talk and no action. They tell you what you want to hear, take your money, then do not meet expectations. I requested a custom pole that was shorter than standard size offered, was told that was no problem. What I received was a hacked off pole that did not reflect the professional commercial grade pole with proper tapering. Problems consist of: Cast aluminum single revolving truck assembly with sheave not provided. Was told a revolving truck would not work because they hacked off the top of the pole. Told a revolving truck was over rated and they sent a fixed truck. Flagpole Snap Covers not provided. Damaged items: dent in pole, cam cleat scratched, and pole scratched. To be fair, after long and frustrating negotiations they did compensate me by refunding approximately 25% of total cost. I would have rather paid full price for aesthetically pleasing pole. This pole will probably end up in a scrap yard. Bottom line, buyer beware. read more

Do not order from this company ! Worst customer service ever . They tell you whatever they think will make you happy in that day, even if it's not the truth! Did not receive flagpole by the date in which I was told it would be there , and after numerous calls and no call backs with info , I finally spoke to a manager who gave me a date of 2 months after they charged my credit card . You would think that when a customer orders a 30ft pole and pays over $1800 they would want to keep your business . The flagpole is very nice, however it cost me several thousand dollars and I am having trouble getting a warranty issue fixed. The sales and service people are COMPLETELY USELESS, and seem to do nothing but make sure that you send your payment. It seems that you need special credentials to speak with an administrator. Did I mention that the flagpoles cost SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS? After you send them your kid's college fund to put a pole in your lawn, don't expect any help or service from them. There must be other reliable companies that provide these type of services. This was certainly not worth this amount of aggravation. Did I mention that the flagpoles cost SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS???? Update: I finally got through to someone about my issue and they sent me a quote for a repair job on my flagpole that is less than a year old: $900.00! Really bad experience. I ordered a flagpole that wasn't delivered when they said it would be. Every time I called, the agents told me what I wanted to hear without actually doing anything about it. So, finally, at the very last minute, they shipped my product and it didn't make it by Christmas. Furthermore, their site says money back guarantee, but if you return, they won't give you all of it. Conveniently not mentioned where they say money back guarantee. There is a restocking fee of 20%, so I felt like that was misleading. They said they did "technically" everything they were supposed to do. Terrible customer service (notable that I run a customer service call center and this would never fly in our place of business). I wish I had heeded the warnings of reviews I read. Don't make the same mistake. read more

After two months of ordering a 20 ft pole they have no clue as to the status of the order. they subcontract it out to a manufacturer. they couldn't locate the order or told me things to passify me. today, after some pressure from me they decided to cancel the order and hung up on me. now i have to check with the credit card compnay to make sure i get my money back. This is a terrible business. I was charged $30.00 for a flimsy 3 piece thin metal flagpole for my porch, about 5 feet long. Pure junk. I called to get return authorization and was told they would refund my money. Did not ask for the pole back. Week goes by, no refund. Call again and was told refund was coming for sure. Week goes by, no refund. They are obviously waiting for me to give up. Call a THIRD time and am told I have to return the pole at my expense and that there would be a 20% restocking fee. I placed an order and then upgraded my order with my representative Heather. Heather and I have talked many times and emailed many times and not once did she mention a restocking fee. Having a restocking fee is ok businesses are entitled. I told Heather," You could have told me when I upgraded the order and told you I was returning the other". I am really upset by this entire experience. They used the ebay shipping calculator to quote to my zip code, which played into the total budget and was a big deciding factor in my purchasing the pole from them, in addition to my desire to buy a quality, US-made pole from a family business. After I made the purchase, they contacted me outside of ebay and stated there'd be an additional charge of $75 for the shipping due to my location (which I absolutely dispute being "limited access" or "rural" based our location 4.5 miles from I-15 in CA and 8 miles from a city of 110,000 people!) and on several other freight deliveries within the last year, then failed to send me the invoice for the additional charges, as I'd requested and they agreed to do. They told me the shipping companies were quoting "almost $300 over what [they] normally pay", but when I requested a copy of the quotes, they were barely $300 and they didn't even chose the least expensive shipper on the quote but selected one more than $55 higher than the lowest @ $268 (but I presume they have a business volume discount on top of the quote, for which they still haven't disclosed the actual amount to support the exaggeration - unless they normally don't pay anything for shipping, in which case yes it is almost $300 more than zero). This feels like a scam - the purchase through ebay is a binding contract to sell the item to me at the agreed upon (posted) price, and yet they violated ebay's contract and policies and told me that you'd cancel my order if I didn't pay the additional amount, and then sent me an invoice outside of ebay and Paypal's systems so that I would not later have protection for fraudulent charges and so they could avoided paying additional ebay seller's fees. After they told me about the error, their listing continued to show shipping to my address at the same price I paid, suggesting it was not in fact an error, as no correction had been made, and they had, nor ever added any statements to the listing about shipping restrictions or surcharges to certain regions. Then they failed to send the additional snaps to fly a second flag stated in the listing and requested when I paid for the item immediately after purchasing it, thus satisfying my end of the contract. And then they further showed lack of attention to detail by transcribing my name and address incorrectly, then failure to ensure it was corrected with the shipper in a timely manner after I brought it to their attention immediately when I was forced into paying them more money on threat of cancelling my order, causing the delivery driver to complain to me about getting lost. It's been more than 2 weeks since I reported that to them, and still have not received the snaps, despite USPS stating a 3 day shipping time for first class/parcel post (that'd be 2 business days if you're counting Saturday as a non-business day; maybe it's because I'm "rural" that it takes 4x longer?? Really, after all this, I just suspect that they didn't have them shipped until I asked where they were the second time, if at all). It's been nearly 6 weeks since I purchased and paid for the flag pole and am still awaiting the order to be completed so that we can fly our flags. This was supposed to be a present to celebrate my husband's new military orders and a show of our patriotism, but they've made it stressful and awful, ruining the sentiment. My husband's colleagues have all been asking how our project is going and being military are considering getting flag poles themselves, as are our families, but I cannot possibly recommend this company and will suggest they just purchase their poles elsewhere to avoid the headache - it's made by American Flagpole and is actually very nice...you should just buy it from another distributor. read more

Please reconsider using them for a flag. We spent several hundred dollars with this company and the customer service was terrible. We purchased two large flags (supposed to be their best) and within one month the marine corps flag was falling apart. I contacted them about the issue, and after several WEEKS of waiting (after leaving messages and sending emails) I was told to send the flag back and they would determine if it was fixable or if they would replace it.... after another couple of weeks with no response I contacted them via phone to find out they couldn't repair the flag, they and blamed a "bird" for hitting it or something like a tree causing the initial tear, so it wasn't their problem.(FYI there are no trees near the flag and a bird?? really??) They offered to reduce the price of a new flag, which to me after the attempt to blame a bird to get out of replacing it free of charge was insulting. I can't believe how poorly this was handled from the beginning, they didn't read their emails correctly and then the speed of the response was horrible. I should also mention we ordered the rock 12 v light system which we like, however it arrived with a broken bulb, and no instructions. When we called the person on the phone had no idea what type/size of bulb so we could buy another one locally let alone details of how to properly install it. VERY disappointing exchange, I would not recommend them to anyone. I do not typically give poor reviews, however this one really bothered me. Customer service is not important to them. read more

Don't ask them to honor their beat the competition by 5% as stated on their website. In my case, the owner, Brian, doesn't bother returning calls after 4 messages left regarding a question about the installation. The first time I spoke to Debbie in the office regarding the price beat from a company in Brooklyn, Mi which was less expensive for the exact same flagpole which is manufactured in Ohio ( Ederflag.com ) she said she would have to talk to the owner Brian. when I called her back she said Brian would match the price. When I asked her about the 5% better than the competition pricing which is advertised on their website, she had to talk to Brian again. they never call you back with those answers, you have to follow up. when I called back, Debbie replied that they guess they would go ahead and do the 5% competitor price beat. it was obvious that they did not want to do it. After leaving Brian 4 messages on his voicemail with no return phone call regarding an installation question, I called and spoke with Debbie and asked her politely, if Brian not calling me back was anything to do with the price match. she assured me that it wasn't ' the case , and put me in his voicemail once again. It is a week later now, with still no return call from Brian or anyone from Flagpoles etc. I am going to go ahead and purchase it from the other company. You can google Eder flag pole manufacturing in Ohio and you will get the flag pole manufacturers website . flagpoles etc, is just one of the many dealers selling the exact same flagpoles from this manufacturer. Just check the dealers in Michigan and pretty much anyone selling flagpoles will be one of their dealers on the list. Most or all of the flagpoles that are sold by the dealers are the same from what I can tell. Then just check the individual dealer websites . Most of them have PDFs files of the flag poles. the PDFs files are exact, from dealer to dealer , with the exception of the dealers name on them. just ask Flagpoles etc to beat the price by 5%, which is stated in bold red letters on their website. In my opinion they really don,t want to do it and it is purely a marketing scheme. I would just like to have enough people call them out on their marketing scheme in order for them to take it off their website. JUST CHECK Ederflag.com in their dealer section AND CHECK WITH EACH DEALER FOR THE BEST PRICE. THEY ARE FOR THE MOST PART THE SAME FLAG POLES.
