    Fred and James took such great care with all our belongings. Everything that wasn't already boxed up was either wrapped up in blankets or carefully placed in the truck so that it wouldn't get damaged. If they took something apart, they put it back together when it was delivered. Delivery was just as impressive. Great care was made to make sure every item or box was placed where we wanted it. Nothing was broken or damaged. Fred was able to schedule the load and unload to met my needs. I would hire Fred and his team again!

    Yelp, I used FJC 2 weekends in a row, and was a client...so if these guys say I didn't, they are lying. It's unfortunate I have to leave a negative review. I used FJC to load up a 20 ft truck the first weekend, one of the guys that showed up had a verbal altercation with my 73 yr old mother. Admittedly, she tends to go off and had said something negative, so I can appreciate that side of it. The guy mouthed off though, and in a loud voice told her to calm down. That wasn't necessary. I left it alone and went on about things. When I went to get the truck, same guy said something like, "I ain't wearin no mask" because of Covid. I mentioned to him he didn't have to when working and not near my Mother, but if close to her, he needed to....he repeated the statement again, and I told him he needed to leave then if he couldn't follow proper protocol. My mother is 73 and has a compromised immune system. I called the owner, he wouldn't send anyone else out, so I left it alone and kept her away from the entire situation. We got done, but when I went back down after they were gone, someone(I didn't see it) threw 3 boxes of hardwood through a 2x4 open wall int eh storage in the basement, and damaged some of the wood, and had thrown it into my wine rack...wine rack is ok, but still some small damage...either way...it's not ok to do this....When the owner came out the second weekend, he said the guy wouldn't do it and blew it/me off...well, hmmm I didn't do it, I have way to many other important things to do that...to throw shit around, damage my own stuff I don't want damaged, and try to blame someone for it...maybe it magically threw itself, makes total sense! I gave these guys the benefit of the doubt the second weekend, after talking to the owner...Fred the owner said he would personally come and take care of my next weekend move and would be there probably before lunch. Cool, problem solved.. He called me around 11 and said it would probably be more like 1-2pm....I get it, I've moved approximately 45+ times since college many years ago, not my first rodeo....I called when they weren't there at 2, he said it was probably going to be more like 3:30....now I'm running into an issue, my movers in Denver could have come down and started at 8am, but wanted to give Fred the chance to correct the first weekend. He didn't get there until almost 4pm, my ring camera lit up with the time so I have it on film. They walked in without masks, Fred came downstairs and immediately lit into me about how I didn't tell him the size of the move, etc etc...told me off for about 10 minutes, and said he was going to walk...leaving me high and dry on my weekend before a house closing....strange, didn't know it was my responsibility as the client to explain to him the story on my move, even though I mentioned several times on the personal call with him, we were moving out....he griped me out, ran me all over the house getting things he thought I should get ready for them to load then didn't load or use...and said he was tired from the work day and only could give me 2 hours. It actually ended up being more like 1.5 hours, and half my truck filled, he said there was no way we would get the rest of the big stuff in this 26 ft truck...he had done it for 30 years, and didn't say it, but insinuated several times I was an idiot(idiot with 45+ moves, and a masters degree)...I paid them what he said I would have to pay $585 including the weekend before, travel time, and 2 hours for that day when it was really closer to 1.5 the second weekend, and nothing close to filling the truck. So Fred left me high and dry. I had the house closing on Tuesday 3 days away, so he screwed me pretty good...I immediately called the contractor guys that worked for me on the house for the last 1.5 years, 2 retired fireman from Woodland Park, they launched over to the house, were there in 30 minutes, took us 2 hours to finish loading the truck...and WE DID INDEED get all the big stuff into the 26 ft truck, and I went back to Denver with a full load. We were out on Monday and closed on Tuesday as planned. Again, it looks like others had a different experience, and happy for them, but my move was a @#$@#$ nightmare with these guys, and they almost screwed my closing. My fireman buddies know everyone in Woodland Park, and alot of people in CO Springs, and already started spreading the word. They are highly respected, and treated us like family because we take care of those that take care of us. I would have done the same with FJC and Fred if I had been treated with even a modicum of respect. I work with clients every day in my job, and i smooth over tough/bad situations as a Director of a Software Company, I deal with this for a living, and know how to make customers happy, I am not a tough customer, the only thing I expect is the same respect I give others...I got ZERO respect from these guys, and honestly was treated as if I were a moron. I don't appreciate big egos.

They showed up 5 hours late, yelled at me that I gave them a bad quote and refused to do my move which ended up costing me THOUSANDS. And spoiler, another company did the job in the time I was originally quoted by these people and for half the price. As a woman moving alone, these movers made me incredibly uncomfortable in the short time they were in my home. I called and got a quote over the phone. This was not unusual to me as I've only ever gotten phone quotes for moving and have never had issues in the past. I was quoted 2.5-3 hours with 3 movers. I called 5 other companies in the area and received similar quotes, I chose this company due to their availability. I scheduled my move for 4 days before I needed to be out of my place. They were scheduled to arrive between 12-3pm. At 3pm, I was told their morning job was taking much longer than anticipated but they should arrive within the hour. At 4pm I received a text from the team letting me know they were an HOUR AND A HALF away and would be stopping for food on their way. I contacted the "manager" and was assured they would be able to complete my move that day. The team showed up at 5:30pm, 5.5 hours late and I have never had movers be more disrespectful and demeaning toward me. My home was clean, fully boxed, and ready to be loaded. For $210/hour I was not about to waste time. They walked through my home to assess everything and Tyler, who is supposedly the best they have, was rude and disrespectful every step of the way. He yelled at me that there was no way they could do the move in the time quoted. Given that their morning job took 4-5 hours longer than anticipated, whoever is quoting jobs clearly doesn't know what they're doing. I was alone and the way their team treated me in my home made me incredibly uncomfortable, they yelled at me that I wasted their time, they drove to Fort Collins from Denver and their cars were in a storage unit in Denver that closed at 9pm. Even if they completed the job in the minimum quoted time, they still wouldn't have made it back to Denver in time to collect their vehicles so I don't see how that was my problem but he sure made it my problem. Tyler told me the move would take a team of 4 movers at least 7 hours to complete. To be clear, this was a two bedroom townhome, not a 5 bedroom house. As I was about to throw them out of my home for being so demeaning and disrespectful, they offered to step out and call their manager. At 6pm I received a call from the manager who told me the team claimed there were 150 boxes in my home and they would not be doing the move. When I argued that was absolutely not the case (i counted and there were 56 boxes, 6 large, 15 medium, 25 small, and 10 plastic tubs) I was told he didn't know who to believe...um excuse me?!? He offered to reschedule for another day at more than DOUBLE my initial quote. After the experience his "best guy" had to offer, there was no way I would ever agree to pay them even my original quote let alone $1800?! I told him this was unacceptable and explained the financial impact, all I got was "sorry, we wish you the best of luck with your move" after wasting 6 hours of my time and costing me thousands. This was a huge waste of my time and costly. I deliberately scheduled the move on my day off with several days after to do final small things and clean before handing over keys. A new tenant was scheduled to move in shortly after. Because of this company's laziness and incompetence, I had to pay an additional month rent and the next tenant's move was also impacted. I am truly beside myself at what a horrible experience this was. Now for the kicker - I hired another company to do my move the following week. I hired two movers and anticipated an 8 hour move due to what I was told by this team. I was genuinely afraid to do the walkthrough given what happened with moving brothers. I explained what happened and the new quote I was given and the new movers laughed. They said this team took too long at their job in the morning, ate and sat in the truck for an hour, and when they showed up they were tired or lazy and simply didn't want to do the job. They said the 7 hour quote was an FU to me since they drove up to Fort Collins. It took the new movers FOUR HOURS TOTAL. And cost me less than moving brothers original quote including a 40% tip. NEVER give this company your business. They will leave you up a creek without a paddle without so much as an apology. I'm grateful they requested cash payment and didn't require a deposit as they will never get a penny from me. I will tell anyone and everyone I know to avoid this company!

Had 4 movers at a very competitive price who were willing to move my husband and I out of two apartments and into our new house. They were kind and considerate of our home, and worked very quickly and efficiently. This team was excellent to work with, and Daniel was very communicative of any questions we had before, during, or after our move. They even removed trash for us and set us up with local cleaners to do a move out clean and carpet clean of our apartments for a great price. Can't recommend them enough! -- Setting up the move: I reached out through Yelp and they were extremely communicative there, answering all my questions and following up on my timeline. We did a final discussion over the phone before scheduling the move. Daniel was open to discussing pricing and adjusting the size of the team accordingly. He estimated around 6 hours for this move all in, and the final timing was 5.5 hours from the time they left their warehouse until they returned to it, so his estimate was very accurate! One small thing - I never received a confirmation email for their services ahead of time, which I had asked for, but Daniel was great about keeping in touch over text and made sure to respond to my confirmation about a week and a half before, and then send a text to confirm a few days before as well as the day before. So this is a very small complaint, and realistically wasn't something I needed to worry about! So just a heads up to expect communication by phone/text -- they will absolutely follow through! -- Moving day: They were able to move us out of our two 900 sq ft and 700 sq ft apartments in a little under 2hrs. Once they arrived at the new house, it took around an hour to move everything in. (To note we had mostly boxes and very little furniture, but was still much faster than I expected!) Each of the 4 team members was extremely courteous and very respectful of our home. I stood by the truck to let them know what rooms to put things in and they followed all the instructions to a T. We had a lot of boxes and trash from new purchases in our basement, including a huge 85" tv box, and they took all of it for us and loaded it into their truck after moving in our things. Was a small fee for taking the trash and was a huge help for us. We didn't know ahead of time we would need this service, and the team was flexible with us and agreed to this day of, which was exactly what we needed! -- After move: Daniel had set me up with a local mover to do a move out clean and carpet clean on one of our apartments, and he made sure to follow up to make sure I was able to get in contact with the cleaners and that they did a good job afterwards. Was a huge help to be able to set this up in one go and was very appreciative of the follow up! (Also the cleaners did a great job and were flexible with our schedule!) -- Final thoughts: This was an excellent company whose team did a great job and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone moving in this area. We will likely use them again in the future due to the quality of our experience yesterday. Their prices were extremely fair and they are willing to work within your budget to make sure you get the move you need for the price that works for you. They are flexible in their services, and do everything from packing and moving to junk removal and cleaning services, and are truly a one stop shop for all your moving needs. If you are unsure about who to use for movers, don't be -- hire J&R Affordable Moving!

    put in service request via thumbtack and was promptly contacted by daniel and we connected via…read morephone 2 days later on march 17. i needed his team to move me 6 miles from a storage unit to apartment and he said no problem and even quoted me a lower price of $125/hr. great. move was booked for sat, may 9. about 10 days later i contacted daniel again and asked if he can change that from may 9 to april 18. yes, done, and confirmed change on march 25. my move is now this week so i text daniel this morning, april 13, to inquire if we are still all set and my phone number is blocked. i cannot text, i cannot call...all communications incoming from my cell number are blocked. no explaination, no communications from daniel/team regarding any possible conflicts, etc. he simply blocked my number and that's it so now i'm left scrambling to find other services with a smaller timeline and most likely higher costs. shame on this compay/owner.

    I just want to say I got GREAT customer service from the beginning...Destiny listened to every part…read moreof my situation and worked to find the right situation for me. I was sent texts to confirm everything and kept updated. I'm getting set to set a date for the move--unfortunately snow's putting it off for a few days--but I love the impression I have of this company so far. I do see the negative reviews, so will follow up as needed, but I believe a lot of time it is negative reviews that get the energy. This company is definitely showing professionalism and compassion.

I was quoted a "non-binding" estimate of…read morearound $1,000 and told the move would take approximately 3.5-4 hours -- in fact, I was specifically told "4 hours tops." Despite providing clear details upfront about the amount of furniture, stairs, and locations involved, the company only sent two movers. The final bill ended up being over $1,700, far above what I was led to expect. When I called to discuss the huge difference with management, the response was immediately defensive. I was basically told that because the quote was hourly, there was nothing they could do. I understand estimates can vary, but this felt very misleading and poorly planned from the beginning. If the job realistically required more time or additional movers, that should have been communicated upfront instead of leaving customers shocked by a bill hundreds of dollars higher than expected.
