Dr. Patrick Cucarola Is by far one of the most educated and skilled chiropractor i have ever met. He is not just a chiropractor but educated in treating ALL parts of the body. Think chiropractor, physical therapist and holistic health practitioner all in one. He utilizes multiple modalities (joint mobilization, traction, stretching, massage, strength training, injections, stem cell therapy , Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy and more). If you have pain, that you have tried multiple practitioners for relief, please don't give up. Try this place. I am a physical therapist that has been in the field for 28 years and he is the real deal. I wish I had the opportunity to treat patients during my career the way he does. Outpatient PT clinics don't even come close to what they can do for you here. He is also more affordable than you may think for such a comprehensive treatment approach. 04/16/2026 It is very reassuring (and brings confidence) for good outcomes to have FIX Medical Group as your team, and in your corner. After more than one year with the highly qualified team of professionals, lead by Dr. Patrick Cucarola, my hips and knees improved very much. I can do things that I could not do before my last injuries, two years ago, like walking uphill treadmill cardio for my heart (I am 67 years old). Working with Chelsea is amazing. She works a path to continuing improvement, and/or adapts to new issues to address. I gained a lot of muscles, and have less inflamation - their specialized scale tells this story. i had pretty server pain in my left thumb area. An orthopedic hand specialist thought it was a trigger thumb, and a nurse practioner said if was a tendinitis issue lower on the thumb. After no relief from an injection into the joint and a separate injection into the tenden lower of my thumb, I was desparate for some pain relief. I went to Patrick for some shock wave treatements, and after 6 treatments I was pretty much pain free. Shock wave treatment may not work on all pain situations, but it worked for me. Sep 23, 2025 Following up after a few months, I want to give a shout out again to Patrick, Chelsea, Alan and Robyn. Patrick and his team are excellent and caring. Chelsea is excellent, and amazes me with the creative ways of approaching recovery. She also details how it affects the body, and why it is good. When I report difficulties for doing some exercises, she comes up with new exercises and stretches, and new ways of self-massaging to relax the muscles. I continue to make progress, also at my age, 66 yrs old, and with all my injuries, not as fast as I would like . Alan, with whom now I do Vittypure injections and microneedling for hair density, is excellent, gentle and caring as always. After listening to my story of my hips and knees, concerns and goals, I have been given a variety of choices with detailed explanations of pros and cons, and much more. I chose what I found very attractive and rather unique, a COMPLETE CARE PACKAGE that promotes the best outcome of treatments. It contains 3 Vittipure injections and stem cell injection, Stemwave/shockwave treatments, deep massage, and the important physical therapy (PT). And for more treatment locations I received a discount, which helps a lot. The Vittypure injections are better/more effective than PRP, the stem cells are from the universal umbilical cord, that is supposed to be the best quality stem cells, the shockwave treatments speed up healing and target the most needed areas, the deep massage that makes you incredible loose, and the important physical therapy (PT). My Vittipure and stem cell injections are performed by Alen. Alen is a very skillful and knowledgeable nurse. In my first encounter with him, we discussed the locations and the rationale for them and detailed how all approaches work together. I admit I was a little nervous seeing the long syringe. Alen has a way to put you at ease. He also gave me advice for "love and tender care" after the injections. I highly recommend Alen. I had my first PT, after my first Vittypure injections (after 2 days rest) with Chelsea. Chelsea surprised me with the electrical treatment, which first finds the places that need most attention, and after stimulates the muscles many times more than the workout, during easy exercises that complement your needs. I have done many PTs over the years, and none used the effective electrical stimulation to start with. From the first conversations with Chelsea, I learned new things to help me, also I am coming, (from past December, after 2 months) from another Sports and PT place. This reveals her highly trained qualities. I highly recommend Chelsea. Victor's massage techniques include tools I have not seen or been worked on before. I learned new things from him regarding pain, imbalances and muscles. And of course I felt very loose after. I highly recommend Victor. Patrick at Fix Medical was amazing in helping me heal my Tennis elbow that I had for 2.5 years. He took his time to gather my history as well as addressing all my questions. He was very patient and understanding of what I needed. He shared some previous success stories and allowed me to speak with them to validate the Vitti Pure product he suggested. This review is long overdue. I dislocated a rib while working out at my Crossfit gym and to be honest didn't know what exactly to do. A friend referred me to Fix to get adjusted which I've never done before and have always been a little skeptical. Fix was able to get me in immediately for a massage and Andre concentrated on the specific area and was able to give me some immediate relief from the pain. I saw Patrick a few days later where he worked on it further to help get the rib back in place. He gave me additional stretches and exercises to continue working on it. I went to Fix Medical Group because of pain in my left hip that started and instead of subsiding slowly got worse over the course of 5-6 weeks. After my first treatment with Dr. Patrick I not only got the relief of a diagnosis and knowing what was actually going on, but he also gave me a few exercises I did daily, and within just about 2 weeks my hip improved significantly. It only took me 2 treatments, I'm continuing my exercises but I'm feeling a lot better already. The staff is very nice and the whole treatment process was a throughout positive experience! Appointment was very rushed. Did nothing for the areas of concern I had pointed out. Instead, pulverized all of the muscles in my entire body and made me more sore and neglected what I wanted to be addressed. This place seems like all they care about is churning out customers and they don't focus on individual care and patient needs. Go somewhere else. They were trying very hard to be a modern, chiropractor for all of your bodily and fitness needs. Seemed like they'd rather go into being a membership gym. Customer service was mediocre. I typically get massages on the regular, everything from Thai massages to spa massages so that I can decompress. However, I've been slacking to find the time lately. Since my body has been a wreck from workouts, boxing and of course the occasional stress, I knew I needed to find a place that was going to really target my problem areas and hopefully alleviate the pain. I wanted to follow up on my initial review of Fix Body Group. Oftentimes you see initial reviews and no follow ups. My initial treatments with Patrick, Chris and Victor were awesome. Patrick knew exactly what I needed for my recovery from heel/achilles surgery and for a troubled knee. I let the team know that I have a super physical and hard job and needed as much treatment as possible to get me to my next upcoming work project. I felt so cared for, and little by little my pain has subsided. My foot is going to be a process - bone stuff always takes (at least 18 months) forever to heal. But I can walk, I can stand, I can wear shoes! A few weeks ago, Patrick introduced me to Chelsea to start working with her on effective stretching and movement. WOW! Worst massage ever! I had a Groupon and I love getting massages but this was truly the worst experience I've ever had. The guy didn't even give me his name or ask what kind of pressure I liked. He just started rubbing me and it felt like sandpaper. He rubbed so hard that it was the most painful experience ever and I had to tell him to move onto other areas because it hurt so much. He never once asked me if the pressure was too hard or if I needed anything. And it was supposed to be a full body massage but he didn't rub my feet or my arms. Last I checked those were parts of the body. Plus, it's also a gym so you can hear people talking and yelling so it's not exactly a relaxing environment. Let me start by saying, "I am no athlete by any stretch of the imagination." There, I said it. I feel better. Now that that is out in the open, let me start with my review. I have/had been suffering from a sciatic nerve problem for at least 2 years. I had received various treatment for it over that 2 year period. NOTHING seemed to help. I had run to Ralph's and was getting into my car, having to lift my leg with my hands to get up on the seat because the leg muscles wouldn't work. I sat in my car, so discouraged, feeling like this was just how things were going to have to be for now on. I happened to look up and that is when I saw FIX Body Group. I noticed people in workout clothes coming and going. Out of curiosity I Yelped FIX Body Group and was blown away by the reviews. Could this be the place that is going to fix my problem? Right here, 1 mile from my home, right in the grocery store parking lot? YES!!!! IT IS!!! I felt a little out of place walking in for the first time. As stated above, I am not an elite athlete. I don't run marathons, I don't do triathlons, I don't compete in sporting events. I enjoy being active, without pain. Well, my unease went away as soon as I walked in the door. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and seen right away by Jonathan for an evaluation. Jonathan did a complete evaluation and spent some time giving me my first ART treatment. Wow! I felt like I had been through the ringer....in a good way. (If that's possible.) I have worked with Jonathan, Luke, Kyle, Sam and Issac. I now considered them my "Dream Team." Each one has helped my tremendously. Jonathan and Kyle got me pain free. Sam keeps me well adjusted. Luke went over my workout routine and helped me correct some movements to hopefully keep me from re-injuring myself. Isaac got some of my knots to relax. I injured my shoulder/neck about 3 months ago now. I figured since I'm a nurse and know it all, I could fix it myself, right? WRONG! Anything aggravated it and I was killing myself at work. I had to completely stop going to the gym/working-out and finally decided to get some help. I wanted my life and my body back! After some research, I definitely wanted to give this place a try. Being in the medical field myself, I knew I wanted and needed a facility that offered an interdisciplinary team approach. They are able to offer chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy, physical therapy, personal training, and active release technique. I've been coming here for almost a month now and DEFINITELY notice an improvement. I've seen almost all of the staff members, but my main team includes Shawn, Kyle, and Jonathan. They have all be AH-MAZING. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about any of them. Friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and they really do want to help. This is a very busy facility. They have crazy hours. I think 6am-10pm on weekdays. So, very flexible for you 9-5ers. As busy as they are though I've never been treated as such. Sometimes, if Shawn is super busy or running behind, he'll have his partner work on me but, I don't mind. I think the longest I've had to wait in the waiting room is about 5 minutes. The usual wait time at a doctors office is 15-30 mins. Most of the time if they're running late it's because a previous patient showed up late. So, show up to your appointments on time people. It totally screws up the rest of their day! Also, if your panties are in a wad because they are running a little behind, remember that they probably haven't eaten breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I had to come off work for a little bit for what ended up being a rotator cuff injury. That involves disability paperwork which is a pain in the ass. Bonus points to Shawn and Wendy for dealing with that and my super annoying phone calls. The facility is always nice and clean. I'm greeted with a friendly smile by the staff members at the front desk and they now know me by my first name. Kind of makes me feel important. :) They treat all patients of all shapes, color, and sizes. You don't have to be an athlete. They'll give you a treatment plan and exercises/stretches etc to do at home. You HAVE to do what they tell you! You can't expect them to heal you 100% in a 30min to 1 hr session instantly. It takes hard work and motivation, not only on their part, but yours as well. Although, I will say I usually feel great when I walk out of there. All-in-all I highly recommend these guys. I wasn't really sure what to expect since I had never been to one, but I left feeling energized and relaxed all at the same time. Just had a remarkable Massage by Jeff Lacson for a shoulder problem. Jeff is another master among this fine group of practitioners. About 4 years ago I hurt my shoulder cutting and dragging and stacking firewood in the frigid northeast. ( I like San Diego now) I have been to many massage therapists to try to find relief for this lingering problem. I went to Jeff on a recommendation from Dr. Robek. Jeff specializes in structural Integrity , massage and Myofascial release technique which finds the "hidden muscles" in your body. He is a master of his craft. I have relief from my nagging pain that lingered these years. He found what seems to be the culprit of my problem and moved it to produce the results he was looking for. Can't say enough good things about this place. I came in with some shoulder and back injuries and got them taken care of at the same time. The treatments are aggressive so you can heal as quick as possible and also very comprehensive which includes massage, physical therapy, and exercise therapy. I'm not completely recovered, but every session I fee myself returning to normal. All the physicians are extremely knowledgable and very friendly. They'll tell you what they're doing to you and most importantly WHY. I can't stand when a doctor/physician assumes I can't comprehend what the treatment entails and expects me to just accept it. I appreciate all the physician teaching me some basic concepts to help me understand the mechanics of my body and ways to improve it. Don't get me wrong this place is pricy!! But worth it. Was all types of messed up from being a Jiu Jitsu athlete and competing on a regular basis. Kyle put me back together and after walking out of my first session I felt amazing. He really knows his stuff and the setting is super professional and upscale. I've had the pleasure of meeting other members of the staff and everyone is very helpful and easy to talk to every time I go in for some work. Love Sam and the detailed services they offer. But I have free insurance in the military and could no longer afford to pay out of pocket. Love the business overall. However, I tried to cancel an appointment and I myself is very familiar with policies so I understand when businesses say "it's policy" but I was 17 minutes off. A 24 hour cancellation notice is fine with me but no consideration for being 17 minutes late. That was one of complaints about this business. I really wish they would have tried to accommodate me being a new and possibly returning customer. Now I have to eat $30 cancellation fee. Edit: love the service. Someone from fix reached and offered an outstanding service by giving complimentary service. Thank you. Maybe I will take you up on that offer but I am transferring so may not be able to. Patrick is great. Daniela is great. I walked in hurting so bad and walked out feeling so smiley and good. These guys dont mess around, they definitely know their stuff. Ive been a massage therapist for over 11 years and i was very impressed Just a heads up, if you don't go to your follow up appointment after your initial intake exam/adjustment, then they jack up the price to 80 dollars for a second exam. Hard pass. I went to California chiropractic today, paid 60 for the initial visit, which is half of the cost here and it's 40 dollars per session after. These guys are the BEST. They have been caring for me since I developed symptoms starting about a year ago, from being hit by a car as a pedestrian... think 40mph, flying 20 ft. in the air, landing a few inches from your spine. Lucky... aaaaand crappy. It has been a long road, but I have made progress and am able to do things I had had to stop doing when I walked in the door of FIX (from holding a coffee cup in the morning to downward facing dog). Don't let the good looks and former pro-athlete-looks of Head Honcho, Shawn fool you. He is no gym head and takes each client's issues very seriously...using a FULL body, holistic approach that, for me, has included everything from chiropractic adjustments, deep ( I mean DEEP) tissue massage, subcutaneous scar removal techniques, electric things (from table that undulates your spine to thing that sorta beats down resistance of stubborn scar lumps), acupuncture (was scared, but now a convert and most recently cupping (was skeptical, now a convert.) There is basica strengthening and physical therapy to re-engage certain muscles, dis-engage others, but without the whole package I do not think I would be having the progress I am having...slow but steady. They are VERY specific in their approach to each client providing all care under the same roof. Shawn the owner, doesn't take failure well, so he is relentless in finding what each client's body needs to heal and return to a full and active life (they treat pro athletes)... and, trust me, there is NO one way to healing for every person hit by an oncoming vehicle. read more

I have gone to Fix off and on for a chronic injury. They have the kindest people who work there, and they really care about their clients. The owner, Shawn, (who no longer is working in San Diego) is very talented and takes great care to hire others that are similar to him in that regard. They offer a wide range of services, and I highly recommend them for chronic pain. Derek and Gigi are my favorite to see (Shawn was too until he moved!). They have helped me post multiple surgeries, and I am always grateful when I get to see them. read more
