This is five stars plus review for Akamai Plumbing…read more.. Roughly five years ago, our itty-bitty bathroom needed an update in the worst possible way. Relying on word-of-mouth, we decided to engage the services of a handyman familiar with our property to complete the task. While our bathroom project was eventually completed, it never quite measured up to our expectations nor our investment in time or materials. Fast forward five years later and our fiberglass bathtub has somehow been cracked and was leaking water on the downstairs neighbors ceiling. This was a no Bueno situation and it needed to be resolved quickly. We made a quick telephone call to our homeowner's association management team, who in turn, reached out to Robbie with Akamai Plumbing. Robbie was AMAZING to work with from the very beginning. Robbie confirmed the cracked bathtub was responsible for the damage caused downstairs. Of course, this led to a discussion of what are our options were. There were many, we could have the cracked portion of the tub cut out and new fiberglass affixed which would leave a scar. We could rip out the existing components and replace it with a prefabricated shower kit (what we had five years earlier). We could start over from scratch. We opted to start over, and we are so glad that we did. Robbie showed us all the things that were done incorrectly during our last bathroom remodel. We are happy to say our new shower is exactly what we envisioned, and we could not be more pleased. Robbie was very thoughtful and methodical in his every action, from demolishing the problem shower, and down to the minute detail of dry wall, insulation, and all those other details in between when rebuilding a bathroom. Also, we want to throw out a KUDOS to Sean and Joe from McKee Tile for their expertise in bringing our dream shower to life. And, finally, a KUDOS to the guys from Pacific Glass for their expert installation of our hanging glass doors and finishing fixtures. Ryan, the lead technician, and his assistant Austin arrived promptly and ran a camera through our septic line. They attempted hydro jetting and were very thorough in diagnosing the issue. Unfortunately, there is a blockage that couldn't be fully cleared today, but Ryan took the time to show me the camera footage and clearly explain what was going on. They were professional, transparent, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. They've arranged for Easy Flow technicians to come out Monday to address the blockage. Even though the issue requires additional work, I really appreciate Sheree's quick scheduling and Ryan and Austin's professionalism and honesty.

Its unfortunate that Ideal was my go-to company for over 15 years. After they sold to private…read moreequity investors, it has not been the same. I gave them two chances since they became Mauzy. The first time was simply for a clogged toilet and while they did come out within 24 hours, they spent more time trying to upsell me on their membership than just fixing my toilet. Yesterday was the last straw. My tankless water heater stopped working and I called them to see if they could come out promptly. The only reason they are getting two stars instead of one is they were able to come out that afternoon. The gentleman that they sent was unfamiliar and under trained to be able to diagnose my tankless water heater. I'll save you the details but he ended up recommending a $1000 part replacement that was unnecessary. Moreover, when he reassembled my water heater, he put a part on backwards that the other plumber I called to actually solve the problem noticed as soon as he took the face plate off. Ultimately, the correct answer was that my tankless water heater needed to be serviced and flushed--far less cost than a needless part replacement. On top of being incompetent, before he even started to diagnose the hot water heater error codes he was working to upsell us on a new $6000 system rather than help us understand how our current system was deficient. When he wasn't up selling us on a new system altogether, he was trying to get us again to join their membership program. Please avoid Ideal Plumbing if you actually want to get honest service that isn't a con job or focused on monthly recurring revenue for Ideal.

RDZ plumbing is awesome! I had a severely clogged main line drain where there was literal TP piling…read moreup in my front yard. Fun! I reached out to RDZ around 10pm and was promptly responded too with a quote for hydrojet and camera inspection service by Sandra for either immediate service or for first thing in the morning. I opted for the service for the morning and Manuel and Federico came out and showed up promptly at 8am. They assessed the issue and began to hydrojet the main line. After clearing out the clog, they inspected everything with a camera and we found out that faulty piping was the culprit to our clog and after a fair quote on the spot and agreeing to the work, they went to work to dig out and fix the buried pipe. After they completed the work, they refilled the hole they dug out and you couldn't even tell that they dug it out. They cleaned the area up nicely. During the camera inspection, they found a potential issue that is further down and past our property line which is a whole different issue that ill have to look into with either my HOA or the City but without their thorough work and inspection, we would have never known of the other issue at hand. All in all, I would highly recommend RDZ plumbing to anyone who require their services as they are fast to reply and come out and their professionalism shows in their work. Igor and Bob were able to successfully -hang curtains in my bedroom -install stepping stones -install a new shower curtain rod -install a new dishwasher after removing a drawer and cupboard (there had not been a dishwasher before) - hang my flat screen TV And this is a BIG ONE...made friends with my dog !!
