Five Star Auto Spa came highly recommended from a good friend of mine after I mentioned I had just taken delivery of my Model 3. After a few text messages, I scheduled to drop off my car to Ed on a Friday. Though I had considered Gold package, Ed recommended the Silver as it would be sufficient for my needs. Most shops would've loved to have me purchase the higher package but Ed insisted the Silver would be sufficient. I don't think most shops would be as honest as Ed and needless to say, I was able to save some $$$. The entire process was pretty straight forward and I would've loved to have been able to watch Ed perform the process but I had other commitments back up in LA. Wished I also took a few before shots for comparison of the amazing work Ed did. Though the car had less than 100 miles when I brought it to him, you'd be amazed at how many defects the paint had just from taking delivery of the car. For those as anal as me, do request the dealer to NOT detail the car as they will usually create more issues than actually resolve (which of course I forgot to do). It was amazing to see how much deeper the color was after the Ceramic Pro coating. Only drawback was that this coating requires at min 10 hours to cure. Would recommend Ed to everyone in the OC area and one of the best things is that he's mobile. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND! We paid $1,595 for ceramic coating on out Tesla Model Y, with a 1 year warranty. We noticed swirl marks later and reached out to Ed, but all we got was the run-around. Ed said he would have some contact us...but we never heard back. We paid good money, and should not have to hunt him down to resolve the issue. Went here multiple times. You usually have to show them multiple items they "missed" but I understand that is kind of the risk you take with having someone else wash your car. M This last time, however, the outside of the car was still filthy. The outside. Like... Actual dirt left on the hood, sides, etc. it basically looked like they hit it with a hose and called it a day. I brought this up to the guy and he said "that doesn't come off with the basic. You need to spend more money to get that off." He said it doesn't come off with dos and water. I took his towel and scrubbed a large section of it clean to show he he was wrong. He still argued with me, saying it took polish to get dirt off of the car. WTF. We only needed the outside cleaned as the interior was fine. I looked at the pricing and as you go up, you get more interior options, but nothing about the outside changes, it's all 100% hand wash. On each and every option. This place is trying to get away with doing less and less each time I come here. Do not be fooled or tricked by these workers who refuse to give you what you pay for. read more
