Nothing but problems with this place…read more My first incident with this place was when my dog had to go to the animal hospital in Kalamazoo and have surgery on his paw. I was supposed to go into my regular vet (the VCA Marshall) every week to get it re-wrapped and the splint repositioned. Every single time I did this, I had to go to the animal hospital in Kalamazoo within hours, because the VCA vet had positioned it incorrectly and caused my pup severe discomfort. Even after talking to the surgeon from the actual animal hospital over the phone to make sure he got it correctly, he still was incompetent. My most recent interaction was that my dog had surgery at the VCA vet and while I was at work, the vet called I was unable to leave the meeting in time to answer the call. I called back to the reception and she put me on hold. After waiting for so long, I called back and was then put on hold again. Finally someone answered the phone and could not tell me who called, the status of his surgery, or when I could come pick him up. I was very frustrated and told the receptionist that they were wasting my time by putting me on hold multiple times, and not having any information. Common sense would have been to see which vet was performing the surgery and see if they were out of surgery. In my opinion, that is common sense. So I was then told that they had no information and that they would call me back as soon as they found out. I did not ever receive a call. Three hours later I showed up to pick up my dog and he was not ready so I had to wait another hour to pick him up. The vet did leave a message. However, I explained to the receptionist that I was in a meeting and I did not get very good service. Therefore, I did not have a voicemail come through at this point. In the voicemail, the vet said to call the reception and have them send my call to him to talk to me. How is this possible when they have no idea what was going on? When I went in days later to get my dogs, tail re-bandaged, the vet decided he was going to argue with me about what had happened. I then told him that I will not argue about the situation. Because I have had such a horrible interactions with every single one of these people I am at my breaking point, and I will not ever take my animals to this vet again. Even the vet at the animal hospital said the VCA is incompetent and has no clue what they are doing and told me not to go back. I should have listened. I would also like to add that had the vet at the VCA (Dr. Randy) not argued with me about the situation I would not be writing this review. But because he decided he was going to argue with me I decided I had to. Don't ever argue with a customer after they've had a bad experience. Especially in a situation where you said yourself "I wasn't there so I don't know".

Luna came into the vet lethargic, not being able to walk properly and she also had some tooth pain. we told the vet how she was acting and they brought her back and checked her out. we agreed on doing blood work and that took about 4 hours (that's fine) and we got a call when she was almost done to come back so we did. the receptionist kept telling us the doctor knew we were there and a hour and a half later the doctor brought us back and said "sorry, nobody told me you were here" so not sure wtf was going on there. the doctor told us they gave her pain medicine and checked her vitals and that everything looked good and normal and her bloodwork was normal. they gave us gabapentin for her and sent us home and said she will be lethargic but overall she will be fine. so tell me why, monday, april 13th we take her to another vet who looked at Luna for 5 minutes, noticed Lunas back legs were cold and finally said "yup, it most likely is blood clots" and we had to make a decision. spend 10k on treatment just for her to never be the same again or put her down right then and there. all day sunday we could have spent the entire day with Luna and cuddling her. instead she was stuck in a hospital who truly didn't care about her. if you have any concern for your animal please go to the Southside Animal Hospital. they were amazing

I had a great relationship with them when Dr.Howe was there. Then they let him go to a nerve…read moredisorder which was a shame because he was excellent and could have verbally trained some new staff. He was a WONDERFUL VET. Then I started noticing little things that irritated me yet they called me a difficult client. They had treated my two cats. One had diabetes and other issues. This one girl never got along with me from the get go. She had an attituede and apologized for it a couple times, but yet still marked me as a difficult client. Well it is supposed to be an animal hospital...I ask you does an Animal HOSPITAL, have a right to call it's business this when they won't treat pets after business hours even though they have the appropriate equipment to treat them. I had a problem ONE TIME when they decided to treat my fur baby on a SATURDAY. The TECH they sent in to meet me was exadtly that a TECH, not a vet, yet they decided she would be good enough. WRONG....and the charges were astronomical!!! Then one time that I was leaving there I saw the receptionist give this woman the remains of her deceased dog, and just say "HAVE A NICE DAY"..... She was crying. I followed her out to her truck and asked her if she was ok, then she really started crying, and told her it was ok and asked her dog's name. Then I sat there and listened to her tell me stories about him. The poor lady. They should have had someone walk the lady out and listened to her for a few minutes. I couldn't believe it. FINALLY WHAT IT CAME DOWN TO WAS: My KITTY was sick and it looked like she was throwing up blood, i called the clinic and the lady said if you bring her right in the vet can see her, and I told her it would be a few minutes, because i knew it would be hard to get her into her carrier because if she is sick she hides. The girl said as long as your here before noon...and "Oh yes, you will be charged for the visit as an emergency. I got to the clinic and called them and told them I was there, and then they told me I coudn't get in to see her now because we had already made an appt. for MONDAY. I said yes we did as a f/u to today. And you told me that I could get in if i got here before noon. She kept insisting that I could not get her seen. After all the money I spent there. Each visit no matter what it was always costs almost 200.00 and they don't even give out complimentary nail cutting. Dr. Howe used to do that. I mean this business spent millions revampin g the place then raised their rates. I had beeen a client for over 10 years and probabvly put millions into it. And to have this business treat me like my kitty and I didn't matter was just horrible. It makes me wonder if i SHOULD TRUST ANY BUSINESS THAT CATERS TO FUR BABIES IN A NICE ENVIRONMENT. THEY GO THRU STAFF LIKE THEY ARE " disposable goods." THE WHOLE PLACE IS A SCAM FOR MONEY NOW. I had the utmost respect for it when DR. BOUVERETTE they were the initial owners. I can't believe they still own it. Then the vet has the audacity to tell me my kitty is overweight AND IF YOU KNEW HER SHE IS DEFINITELY A HYPOCRITE!!! And her husband worked there. Matter of fact I became a client back when they were first opening and the office looked poorish and they had a space heater. Dr. Bouverette came into meet my kitty and got down on the floor with it, and was petting it and talking so nice then they started upgrading and there were no good vets that would spend five minutes with you and discuss your furbaby. they did a sanitary shave on my baby cuz she has a birth defect and cut her and then tried to downplay it. meanwhile she got an infection. I wouldn't recommend this place if my life depended on it. I wish Dr. Bouverette still was a vet there and SAW WHAT WAS GOING ON THERE. LORI FOROOZANDEH 2015-2025

I would like to start off this review by saying if I could give zero stars on Concord veterinary…read moreclinic I would. I would like to know what happened clinics that actually cared about the dogs. I went To Concord veterinary clinic based off reviews and friends that had told me what great experiences they've had. My dog is my family when I have an emergency that my dog is sick, I am so sick and tired of hearing that we don't have any appointments available or the vet has already left for the day you're going to have to use And an emergency vet clinic vet clinic. That right there tells me that you don't care about your dogs you treat and all you care about is the money that you get from the owners of the dogs and cats that you treat. I am so disgusted that I wasted my time going to Concord veterinarian clinic and they're no different than any other vet clinic nowadays. so with this being said, if you have an An emergency at 2 o'clock In the afternoon Concord Veterinarian clinic will not help your dog or your cat. So the bottom line is I guess you should just use emergency and pay the extra at least your Cat or dog will be treated and not be told we don't have any appointments available today or tomorrow. Or even better the veterinarian has already left for the day. with ending this review, I just miss the days of When veterinarians actually cared and would see your dog, no matter what was going on.

I was not told I would have to pay each time. I was also told since I was going back so much I would not have to pay it. Next time I will have to record all conversations. Also when I was checking out the guy with blond hair looked at me and smiled and kinda laughed at me. It was pretty rude. He told me I just told you over the phone that you would have to pay that. I was not told that over the phone. Also the red head girl at the desk is always rude as well. Allison is always nice, but should have been more clear to me about the price. I was only aware that I would be charged for shots. I also spoke with the owner.
