A friend told me about it after I had already had lunch, so I stopped by to get a menu for future reference. Besides this Haitian restaurant, there's a Botanical store in here, a dry cleaners, a hair salon, a dentist's office, a tax service office, a place where you can get your MRI, a bakery, a small market and a few more businesses... In 1994 this plaza became a bustling shopping extravaganza in east Hollywood for years until the Dania Pointe mega shopping center stole a majority of it's customers. The parking lot has adequate spaces to support the plaza activity. Entry into the plaza is simple off Sheridan Street and Stirling Road. The Dave and Busters, BJ's Wholesale Club, Home Depot, Ross, City Furniture and Miller's Ale House have continued to stay in business but unknown if they are thriving. The Regal Oakwood Theaters is finally permanently closed and now the new ultra modern Regal Cinema has opened in Dania Pointe directly across the street. The Gold's Gym and the Big Lots are also out of business. There are several EV stations at the NE corner of the plaza. In my opinion, within the next three years, the Dania Pointe will eventually destroy all hopes of this plaza's lifeline.

After that deed was done, we wanted to go have dinner at Miller's Ale House and try their Osso Busco. Dinner was excellent! We got our bucket list item done and we were very pleased that coming to Oakwood Plaza worked out so well. There are a variety of popular stores at this mall, like Ross, Michael's, Marshall's, Office Max, HomeGoods, BigLots, Mattress Firm, and many small restaurants plus a movie theater. We highly recommend Miller's Ale House! Great food and great service there. You will find that most of the stores have good bargains and varied selections for all family members. Parking is abundant for all of the businesses there with wheelchair accessiblability.

I really like Guidos Pizzeria and Restaurant which has a take out counter and dining room. I have eaten there a couple of times. Other than Guidos there isn't anything really unique that would draw me to this mall. It is neatly landscaped like all of Coral Springs and there is plenty of parking. It is good for a quick grocery run to Publix or a breakfast at D'Apple.

One of the biggest improvements was the addition of the movie theater, and the interior has been renovated to feel much more modern, bright, and clean. Many of the longtime anchor stores are still here, although some of the smaller boutique shops have come and gone over the years. I also appreciate that there are now a couple of kid-friendly attractions, including a children's museum and an indoor play center. They're great additions for families and are very reasonably priced. The parking lot is large, with multiple entrances around the property, so it's easy to access the mall from just about any direction. There is still some construction in one section of the parking lot that seems like it's been there for quite a while. I haven't seen much activity recently, so I'm not sure if the project is still ongoing. Fortunately, it's limited to one area and doesn't really affect the overall shopping experience. The mall itself is a nice size. It's not overwhelmingly large, but it's definitely not small either. Everything is indoors, making it a great place to shop, walk around, or spend a few hours, especially during Florida's hot or rainy weather. Overall, Broward Mall has done a great job modernizing while keeping many of the stores and features that have made it a local favorite for years.
