This place is worth more than 3 stars, its more of a 4. The burgers tasted like any of the typical 5 guys, which is decent in terms of fast food burgers. I had the works on my bacon cheeseburger. The patties were juicy. Veggies were fresh. And most importantly, the bacon had some crunch! At the end, my hands were not dripping wet from the veggies, which is a good thing. That meant the veggies were dried before placed in their bins. Last thing i want is lettuce that is dripping wet sogging up my buns. So why the 4 stars, they were out on a few sodas. This is by far the most disgusting experience I've ever had with any fast food restaurant across the board. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger on Uber Eats and when I unwrapped the burger I found a foreign item (maybe a mushroom) with hairs attached to it that was pressed and wrapped into the bun. This is a major food safety issue and when I called the restaurant they didn't even ask for details of my order or apologize but told me to contact Uber Eats. I love five guys! One of the real solid chains for burgers. Ordered a little bacon cheeseburger as my usual with lettuce, grilled onions, pickles and ketchup and it was as good as always. All the toppings are free for five guys. Some other toppings include mushrooms, jalapenos, mayo, mustard, and others. What's also nice about five guys is that they give you free peanuts. It's a really solid fast food burger. Bonus points for fries that are bomb (cajun fries may be the best thing on the menu) and all toppings are free. A "little" cheeseburger plus fries run $10. Burger = 2 patties, little burger = 1 patty (aka normal burger), everything else remaining the same size. Free peanuts are laid out in a 3 ft tall barrel for you to have. Five Guys is really unique in the sense that they do things differently from your usual "fast food" burger place. I've been to several Five Guys in the NYC metro area and they seem to be pretty consistent throughout (in my experience). I love that they have alllllllllllll those toppings! Though I feel like it could be updated to include some more variety. The burger I devoured was delicious as was the fries of course. I think I remember they used to ask how you like your burger done (?) but not completely sure. This particular location can get very crowded with lots of pubescent teens and homeless people. It sucks that while eating your burger you can sometimes see and smell homeless people come in and out the bathroom. After our Argo Tea tradition, my friend was in the mood for burgers so we went here. I believe this is the first time I have ever been to a Five Guys but I'm not sure. The interior is all red and white checker walks and wooden tables and seats. It reminded me of the 1950s, the classic rock music over the speaker breaks that motif. However, I love classic rock so it was all good! We both got bacon cheeseburgers. He got his plain with a small fries and a coke. I got mine with green peppers and A1 Steak sauce, a regular Cajun fries and a vanilla root beer. I wasn't really blown away of the food. The burger was good but I was glad I put the steak sauce. It seemed like the burger would have been dry otherwise which my friend later confirmed. The green peppers added that essential crunch. What was good was that the burgers were double patties. The Cajun fries were good but, in hindsight, I should have gotten a small because the seasoning was a little much and I love my seasoning. I needed ketchup and my root beer to saturate the taste. I guess they change the potatoes they fry because they didn't taste like how I remember. Believe me, the little burger is enough!! I like to go all the way with my burger. Go hard or go home, right? All the way includes mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomato, ketchup, mustard, grilled mushrooms, and grilled onions. Choose as many toppings as you want for free. The Cajun fries are a must as well. They are extremely generous with their portions so I would recommend getting a small. However, no milkshakes at this location. They do have the cool touchscreen soda machines though. So many choices. Never knew choosing a soda could be so difficult. Five Guys is definitely my favorite fast food chain in New York for burgers. When it comes to burger joints, you will never go wrong with choosing Five Guys. I've visited several locations, and being a regular at this particular one I can say that they did not disappoint me. The cashiers up front are usually friendly and polite, even throwing in a joke sometimes. The place gets dirty very quickly (I mean, how can it not, it's a burger place), but I have to say, for my 20 minute stay today, I saw employees cleaning the floor three times. My only complaint is that this is the second time I visit and the men's restroom is out of service. I always get the small Cajun fries and the grill people are more than generous because you get almost an extra portion's worth in the bag. Not to mention the all-you-can-eat peanuts to your dispose. However, one evening, we were already back to our hotel and starving, and they were the only nearby place that delivered that late (besides pizza, but we'd just had pizza!). First time eating this. Friendly staff. There were 6 people working but only two were actually working while the rest consulted a tray of fries. No biggie though. The cajun fries are good! Food was given to me very sloppy. The take out bag was full of grease, both inside and out. Fries were all over the place. When i opened my burger, it was messy and lopsided. Well, all the reviews I have received from friends, or rather friends of friends told me to eat here, So I did. First of all, I don't understand how can anybody love a burger that is only cooked one way. (and whether you like your burgers well done or not, that's how they're cooked!) Those hockey pucks are not worth eating. OK ok, so the fries are good. I said good, not great, but oh those burgers. If you can't have them the way you want them, why order? If you're scared of rare meat, make them at home, or whatever. I was up in Montreal and they have a fast food chain called Walters. You can actually order a rare burger, and the same concept as 5 guys.... you can have whatever you want on them. But at least you start out with something you know you already like. Stopped by here after grad school class. Decided to treat myself to a leisurely lunch before heading to my job. The burgers are good although undeserving of their cult-like status. As a native Californian, I'm partial to In-N-Out - better & cheaper. Still, it's decent. The fries are pretty good and they have a barrel of peanuts sitting around if you're into that sort of thing.
