Great food but pricey! 50 bucks for 4 people. Bought two small fries with 4 burgers 3 drinks. I remember first time I came in bought fries. I had my 2 fry containers overfilled with fries and they threw more in my brown bag on top of it. It had its own bag! Today the fries were in the bag with my burgers barely full touching the top. Ok so Five Guys burgers and fries are good- not great but good. In CA In-N-Out reigns supreme- their burgers are good too, but the difference is price. Five Guys is a gouge. That's what In-N-Outs are always packed and every time I've been to Five Guys their are literally about 5 guys/gals or less dining inside. They have lots of signs with great reviews but they are always very quiet- never seen one jammed. So for a pretty good burger the prices are too high- and for that reason I'm not impressed and no ranch dressing for fries is disappointing. $30 for 2 people for burger fries and drink is crazy. I don't get how their business model survives- lower your margins a little and drive more volume! read more

Overall I do recommend five guys. The quality of the food is amazing and the customer service is always great. However the price to portion ratio doesn't make your purchase always worth it. I love that you can add lots and lots of toppings to your order but for $15 for one person here you can feed two at in and out. And the hot dogs are around $6-$7 and they are not big or anything special. If Costco is open I'd still say it's a better deal for a hot dog soda combo ... Again five guys is amazing and I completely recommend the food. However for me personally I don't think the prices are fair for portions. read more

What's the good? The burgers are really large and tasty. They include lots of toppings, and a standard size burger has two meat patties (if you only want one patty you'll have to order a "little burger"). The shakes were good as well. Thick enough that a spoon will stand up straight in one. Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful. What's the bad? Mostly, it's the pricing. The shakes were $4.29. A large fry (they said was for 3 people) was really for 2 and that was $5. The fries were only ok. The worst offender was the grilled cheese sandwich. It was $4.49 and was absolutely nothing special. WAY too much for bread and cheese. Honestly, I could have gone to In-N-Out and spent much less and had nearly the same meal. read more

The staff at this place is great. I was the very first customer ever to walk into this location. A couple people from my office and I went and waited outside until it opened. They have the new style coke machines in there which is awesome because some times you just need a sprite mixed with cherry AND strawberry. My only complaint is how they bag every order to go... even when dining in. The reason I don't like this is because... as soon as they wrap that delicious burger up in the foil wrapper, it immediately starts getting soggy from the condensation. I for one, was happy to see 5 Guys roll into our neighborhood. The other one in town is not really in a convenient location for dropping in and out. The word still hasn't gotten out that they are here, because we came during lunch, and it's not very busy. And this is despite being right off a busy freeway exit, which is both good (for us) and bad (for business). My first experience with 5 Guys didn't leave me very impressed. I felt it tasted exactly like Rally's, but with worse fries. Then I was treated to a free burger after delivering their checks, I got the everything burger, and it was a new burger. I was sold. I still believe unless you're gonna get a plain burger, you might as well save yourself the money and go to Rally's where the fries are better. Burgers are delicious but I just had to explain tonight's situation with customer service. Which was terrible! First receipt shows what I ordered, first burger was fine second burger, the bacon cheeseburger I ordered didn't come with bacon not bbq sauce like requested on the receipt. Mind you I ordered to go so I didn't see this until I got home. My husband calls for me to explain. The guy on the phone Anthony C tells my husband "she didn't want bacon or bbq sauce" my husband says yes she did who orders a bacon cheeseburger with no bacon. The guy tells my husband she ordered a cheeseburger with no bacon. My husband says the receipt says bacon cheeseburger. They go ahead and remake it. Husband comes home I open my burger. Guess what, same thing! No bacon no bbq. I look at the second receipt and Anthony C crossed off bacon and bbq! Now my husband is mad. He takes the burger back. Anthony C asks what's wrong with it now? My husband shows the receipt asks why he would cross that off and the guy responds with "you didn't want bacon or bbq sauce" a lady worker interrupts and tells Anthony to make it on the fly and write down what my husband wants. The third receipt which is abbreviations, Anthony shows my husband this and says is this what you want?, my husband responds with "idk what all that means, I just want what is on the original receipt, make it like the first receipt, i can go all day with this". Anthony C has the nerve to respond to my husband by saying "yea I can go all day too" so my husband just tells him "yea but you have to make my burger right" I just couldn't believe the customer service we were given. Completely shocked actually that I had to write this review. Customer is always right even if wrong. And in the this case we were not wrong, they made a mistake by leaving out the bacon and bbq sauce that was on the receipt and then to argue that no it wasn't. Not much different than their other location in River Park. Everyone is new so you definitely get good customer service. I think every location has their own unique taste with there being different people manning the grill so taste can vary. Good location, prices are a bit more than their competitors like The Habit and In and Out. Worth trying at least once if you're interested in trying a new burger joint. Wow I am at a loss here. I would be able to enjoy 3-4 meals from here a week. The hamburger was really well put together with quality ingredients. The fries were good and the portions were enough to fill me up. The fountain drink was fine nothing crazy about the soft drinks from one restaurant to the next. The employees were a pleasure to talk to. I also felt comfortable with the gentleman preparing my food. I really don't have anything to complain about except one thing. Honestly I don't even hold this against Five Guys. I got a double patty cheese burger, small fries, and a medium drink. This cost me over $17.00. That is just to much to pay for a hamburger meal. Minimum wage goes up every year and so does the cost of everything. When minimum wage hits 15.00 this burger will cost 20.00 probably. The bun on the burger was paper thin and literally melted in my hand. Even on the dry side. In and out has a better bun. The toppings were ok but lettuce was only iceberg. I have visited this specific restaurant a few times and because of there so called policy of not putting any seasoning on the meat while on the grill for alleged allergy reasons, I asked them to accommodate me by sprinkling some seasoning on my burger once it reached the dressing station, and while it's on top of the wrapper. But on the day 7-8-2018 at 12:11pm I go to order my same order as usual and made my same request, only to have some new girl named "Janet G" tell me that she couldn't sprinkle some seasoning on my burger once it was OFF the grill. I asked why? She stated, because it was the stores policy. So I said please don't lie to my face, and to show me the stores policy. She began to stutter again while repeating this alleged policy as her eyes fluttered, which was the "tell tell" signs of her lying. I find it extremely irritating and ridiculous that I spend $25.44 for just two burgers and two regular fries, and get this girl lying in my face over sprinkling a dash of seasoning on my burger. Ethnically speaking, as an African American man "WE" like seasoning on our food. And there isn't ONE restaurant in this city that doesn't season their meat or salt their fries for some alleged allergy prevention reasons. If you are going to insult my intelligence, at least give me a discount while your at it. And to add insult to injury, they had a roach in a box of peanuts on the floor, but you have the nerve and the audacity to NOT sprinkle some fricken seasoning on my burger. I will never frequent that establishment ever again. I'll deal with a lower budget burger at "In & Out" because at least I don't have to argue for some seasoning, and they don't lie to my face. read more

I tried this location today and was helped by a young man named Gabriel. He was excellent and explained the order well. Music was excellent. The burger and fries were heads and tails above anything else in Fresno. Don't even think about lumping this in with fast food. Five Guys is not even in the same class. This was my first time ever trying a Five Guys burger. I was surprised to see that my total was $27 for 2 burgers, a small fry and 2 regular drinks but the burger prices are equivalent to what I would pay for at The Habit. I am a die hard The Habit lover but I think these burgers definitely could compete with The Habit (speaking just about the burgers). I got a bacon cheeseburger with no bun and I was pleasantly surprised how thick the patties were. The patties were cooked just right and the fries are some of the better fries I have had in a long time, just enough salt, just enough crisp without burning them and hot! They have those fancy fountain drink dispensers where you can create your own drink from zero calorie flavored water to your favorite sodas. The bathrooms were clean, the dining area was clean and the staff was friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a good burger experience. read more

I had the little hamburger which is the same as the regular but minus one patty and split a regular size Cajun fry. It was great for fast food and way better than in and out. The burger has all the toppings plus extras to top it off like fresh jalapeño or grilled peppers. The Cajun fries were a little over seasoned for me I'll probably get the regular ones next time. They have a Coca-Cola machine that can make several mixtures like cherry coke or grape etc. and I love the free roasted peanuts! read more

When I'm craving an in-n-out style burger but don't want in-n-out necessarily, this is my go-to. This particular location is always kept clean and consistent with the burger preparations. What I like mostly about the food is the versatility yet freshness of the condiments/toppings and the fluffiness of the fries (oh, and of course their seasoning).
