I tried a bun less cheeseburger and small fry. The service was quick. I ordered it on the app which was super easy. I had lunch in about 10 minutes! They assembled everything upon my arrival so it was all very hot. I didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised! My cheeseburger was in a bowl wrapped with plastic wrap. I got sautéed onions and mushrooms which were cooked perfectly. The A1 sauce was in a small container keeping everything from becoming over saturated. The restaurant was clean as usual. Recently dined at Five guys on a trip back from D.C. Right off of I-95 near Southpark exit in Petersburg. Was looking for a burger and fries fast but better than the typical fast food chains. I was not disappointed, was able to quickly order the burger the way I wanted it, add the fries (and Five Guys gives you loads of fries) and a drink and get in and out quickly. I initially had the double hamburger, which was quite delicious but a little more than I wanted so I visited a second time and got the little hamburger, which was just perfection! This place was our savior on a recent Florida to NYC drive! Late on a Sunday night we attempted to go to Outback, but it closed minutes before we got there...ridiculous, I know! Fortunately I remembered passing Five Guys on our way off the highway and they were open an hour later than Outback. Score! I've been to three other locations so far and this was possibly the best. This is your typical Five Guys burgers. it's a good recipe. Simple menu, large portions (I tried to get a small fries and small drink today, but they don't have small, only regular and large). My only complaint with this one would be that I had undercooked fries here once (been a couple of times) and that just won't do. A buddy and I had gone late after playing golf, so we may have been dealing more with the 2nd string cooks, but there really isn't an excuse for having undercooked fries. Chain restaurant I know but there wasn't a line during lunch on a Friday and as I strolled to the counter the guy taking my order actually wasn't bitter about working there in his job performance. The food came out fast and hot, I just got some water to wet my whistle and since the water cups are cheap and small the order taker actually have me two without me asking for it... It was my first time trying 5 guys...this location in particularly is very clean. For 2 burgers and fries, it cost a little over $20. I think that's fairly expensive for a burger joint. My husband happened to have a hot dog the day prior somewhere else that Five Guys didn't quite match. The cheese dog was not what I expected, just a slice a cheese in the bun with the dog. Good, but kind of disappointing. Daughter mowed down on her cheeseburger and vanilla milkshake. Five stars for Five Guys. Conveniently located about a half mile off I95, I used the app to place our order for three burgers, three milkshakes and a large fries. One of us had never been, so using the app made it especially easy to select the toppings. Placed the order approximately 5 minutes before we arrived. I gave my name at the pick up counter upon arrival as the app instructed. They confirmed our burgers were already underway, dropped the fries and made the shakes to order. I asked for cups for water and also ketchup and malt vinegar when the order was ready, all provided quickly and with smiling eyes above their masks. Our food was exactly as ordered, hot and delicious or cold and creamy (milkshakes). I forgot how generous their fries portions are. We could have easily split a regular. Ate at Five Guys in Hampton years ago and really liked the burgers and fresh fries. My trip to Five Guys in Colonial Heights was first trip to this location and I had not been to Five Guys in about 5 years. What a difference and what a disappointment. Burger and small fry was $12. Ok, so maybe some of you think a small cup of fries and 1/4 lb burger is worth $12. Well obviously those who do love overpaying. Come to me when you need an oil change, i will dress real nice and charge you $200. My last trip to Five Guys was under $10 and they put a large scoop of fries in the bag. Not any more, you get a small paper cup of fries -- about an ounce or two. The burger was good but not $8 good. I can get a double burger, fries and drink at Cookout for $5 and it is just as good. This place is all hype and gimmick. Five years from now it wont even exist - the Colonial Heights one anyways. I was in during peak lunchtime and there were just a few people in the place. A well-known chain of burger joints. Stopped in with the family for lunch on a road trip. The burgers are fresh, moist, prepared to order and delicious. The fries are fresh cut and abundant (they were overflowing their cup and all over the inside of the big paper bag our food came in). Free peanuts which are always popular with our crew. They have self-serve soda machines that allow you to mix in flavor shots which is nice. Service was timely and courteous. The decor is bare bones - you come here for the burgers. I had a taste for a good burger and we decided to head to Five Guys. Typical Five Guys, great fresh hot food, quick, and professional service. My wife and I both ordered the little bacon cheeseburger with different dressings and both were very good. We shared a regular order of fries which were enough for four people (A Five Guys norm) and again great food served hot. We arrived around 6:30, ordered and received our food around 6:45. They were pretty busy and I thought our wait would have been longer. Again, great service. The one caveat I would say is that the restaurant music was loud. It was difficult to maintain a normal volume conversation sitting across from each other. However, if you have a taste for a good burger, I would certainly suggest trying this Five Guys location. read more

I think this place has some of the best burgers, and the Cajun fries are really good as well. The burgers are cooked on a flat top grill which helps keep in the seasoning and moisture. The fact that you can get pretty much get any topping is another plus. If you're in town, and you want a decent burger it's definitely worth stopping in. read more
