Almost all of my decor, soaps, organic cleaning supplies, girl gifts, towels, blankets, sheets etc come from here. Know before you go if you have never been to a Homegoods or TJ Maxx, it is a lot of stuff to look at and overwhelming. However, if you don't have a plan for the day and just want an in expensive treat for yourself or gift for a friend, you can go here and slowly walk the isles and find a beautiful treasure to make yourself happy. If you are a thrifter or love garage sales, this is place for you. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time because there are soooo many treasures to look at all at reasonable prices. I've decided that I'm not their target market and I'll happily shop the patio set that I liked when it's on clearance.

Tubbs is the place to go when you're prepping for mardi gras. Not only do they have beads and…read moremasks (including boxes of beads for those will be in the parades), but they also carry a wide selection of apparel in mardi gras colors---everything from funny hats to patterned tights. Go to Tubbs to get your purses, bags, sequined vests, sequined ties, sequined dresses, T-shirts, feather boas, wigs, and on and on. I thought these were way over-the-top fashion-wise, but I was wrong. Once were were at the parade route, the clothing items that seemed so outrageous at Tubbs hardly stood out in the crowd of partying mardi gras celebrants! Next year I won't be such a stick-in-the-mud (fashion-wise) but will be out front partying down in my funny hat and sequined mini skirt! Tubbs also has some lovely housewares and, of course, it is an actual hardware store, too. Just an all-round fun place for an hour or so of shopping!
