WOW has everything and then some!…read more Stopped off here the other day to pick up snacks on the way home from work, wasn't as quick a shopping trip as I had thought it would be. This is a a much bigger store than the one I usually go to in Howell and the though it does not have the refrigeration/freezer section, the selection of other items definitely made this trip a healthy one, LOL. The variety of snacks, puddings, chips and cereals as well as sodas, juices and soups was a huge surprise, even plenty of canned fish that I find hard to be stocked at other locations. School supplies I don't even have kids in school anymore and I stocked up on markers, pens (the nice gel kind) and pencils (never can have too many pencils) the composition books are a must in our household.. Envelopes, legal and standard a big box $1.00 seriously!! Shampoo, conditioner and if you are going to be traveling and toiletries- this is the store you need to come to- has it all and at a $1 an item- the good stuff. Staff was stocking like crazy as quickly as the stuff was literally flying off the shelves because you know Halloween, Fall and Winter is coming-stock up on those items!!!! It sure would have beaten Ramen noodles!! Some of my concerns here is the overall cleanliness. The walls and floors could certainly use a good scrub down. Also the store is a bit disorganized. And it's a pretty common occurrence for me to have to step over products on the floor to negotiate the aisles. But this location draws a crowd and the store is usually pretty full with long lines at the cash registers. Horrible experience - walked in requesting help to get balloons for my 4 year old and walked out…read morehumiliated. I saw 2 white families leave before me with atleast a dozen balloons. When I asked for help, there were 2 women at the register (1 with no customers) and they flat out refused to help saying they can't help me right now. Private parking lot. Walked in and the store, it is an older store, so, the doors are manual doors and carts cannot go to the parking lot. There is a refrigeration and freezer section. Restocking was being done, I noticed that some items were on the floor, but the staff was picking up, sorting and re-shelving the items so that was a plus. Prices as always are a $1 for everything. I picked up some Gain, Fabuloso, Thank You cards, Sunny-D and potting stuff. The young man that rang up all my goodies was super nice and busy as can be helping other customers and his co-workers. I would be back again to buy stuff, because if there is one thing I have found, NOT ALL Dollar Tree's carry the same items, have a freezer or refrigerator section or well stocked canned items. On a side note, I do buy the frozen waffles, pancakes and the easy-peasy microwave breakfasts here as well as a name "brand breakfast sausage".. so for a dollar you really can't go wrong, since these items sell at "wally-World" for around $3.00 and up.

I am so happy that The Dollar Tree has this location so close to work…read more The aisles are easy to navigate, the frozen food we all have come to know and love is well stocked, and lots of variety. If you are like me and don't have an epic green thumb, they have plenty of silk flowers to make your flower pots and small gardens looks vibrant and pretty. Plenty of soda pop options, juices, coffee, baking goods, bread/buns, canned food and like that they carry canned mackerel, which I totally prefer at times over canned tuna or salmon, which they also carry. Lots of books, candles and personal /medical items like band aids, lotions, shampoo, mouth wash, hair stuff, books and party supplies and greeting cards. Lots of balloons for parties, kitchen items, in fact I bought all new utensils for our office kitchen that we needed. A word to the wise, if you are like me, you always go in for one or two items and walk out with 4 or 5 bags of stuff- the shopping carts here, cannot leave the store, so have strong arms to carry those bags , LOL. Everything is $1.25, so yes prices have gone up .25, but in this economy, I really can't complain, the prices are easily acceptable for everyone's budget, and it really is my go to place for holiday, party and event decorations. This complaint may seem trivial, however it sticks in my craw that I was overcharged the sales tax…read moreon a purchase at Dollar Tree and the non-responsiveness of the retailer. I spoke to the manager and was told that tax issues must be taken up with corporate. However, there is never anyone there to answer the phone. Phone messages and emails are not responded to. Yes, the amount in questions is only 20 cents. And if the store manager had just refunded me the overcharged tax, I would have been happy. I would point out that when I encountered a similar error on a purchase at a Wawa, the response was prompt, courteous, and I received a gift card for $5, which was far in excess of the error. I would also point out that I occasionally make bulk purchases totaling several hundred dollars at this store, so accuracy of what I am charged, and what others are charged, is important. I understand that errors creep into these systems. The lack of responsiveness is not acceptable. This message is a copy of a complaint I filed with NJ Consumer Fraud as well.
