Since I wasn't able to contact the company directly; I felt it only appropriate to write a review…read moreof my experience that took place on June 22. Transaction #: 127833 Associate ID: 408180 Dear Under Armour Customer Experience Team, I am writing to formally express concern over a disappointing and discriminatory experience I encountered at your Dawsonville, Georgia location on Sunday, June 22. During checkout, while I was paying for my items (Transaction #127833), I observed that the customer beside me was asked multiple times by the sales rep if she--or her husband, who was standing near the entrance--worked in a hospital or clinic. This inquiry was never extended to me. I only received the question and relevant information after I directly asked about it. As a Hispanic woman who wasn't particularly dressed up that day, this experience left me feeling profiled and dismissed. It seemed as if assumptions were made about my background or profession based on my appearance alone--that I didn't "fit the image" of someone who might work in healthcare. This felt not only unfair but deeply personal. I want to highlight that unequal treatment based on appearance or ethnicity is not only inappropriate--it may violate federal law. -Under Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. § 2000a), businesses open to the public are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, religion, or national origin. -Additionally, 42 U.S.C. § 1981 guarantees all individuals the same right to make and enforce contracts, including retail transactions, without racial or ethnic discrimination. I'm sharing this feedback not to create conflict but in the hope that it leads to reflection and improvement. I ask that this incident be reviewed and that appropriate diversity and bias training be provided to ensure all customers are treated with the dignity and fairness they deserve. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely, Dixie Castrejon
