I've become a fan of Loft mainly because they have clothes that go with the stuff that you already have. So that you don't have to buy a whole entire outfit. I tend to stick to the basic colors such as blue, black and grays so that it won't be too hard to cross match them in the mornings without too much thinking. (I know co-workers that come to work dressed like a Neiman Marcus catalog everyday, I just don't understand them.) Loft outlet quality reminds me of Target but their sizing runs a tad smaller than Target's. Their pants are cut smaller than Ann Taylor's and their accessories are much trendier than Ann Taylor which tends to be more classic. My first visit to this Loft Outlet location. And the service was "meh", only because I knew what I wanted. There were some pretty blouses on sale and that's the only thing I was looking for.. just looking at the sale stuff! So.. guessing her name's Sarah, she wasn't friendly or rude.. just plain. I guess it's time to finally review this place. Eh. There are good deals that come and go. Sometimes I find awesome pieces at super low prices while other times the sales are okay. It's typical with seasonal sales and styles. The associates here are lovely and willing to help. The store itself was well lit (I have a thing about dimly lit stores--lol) with the sales floor as organized as can be. The clearance collection here was pretty large, but like I mentioned earlier, the deals comes around once in awhile (i.e. an extra percentage off clearance). Parking was plentiful as this is an outlet mall parking lot. Loft is located towards the Nike end but more towards the middle of the front facing stores. It's near the mini playground area. I think. JANE HATHAWAY WOULD SHOP HERE! Jane Hathaway was this really fastidious television character who was the secretary of a banker. She always wore a very feminine blouse, a cardigan and a pencil skirt. This would be her store (if their skirts were of a more appropriate length). It is not my aesthetic but I could definitely see the conservative business professional shopping here. I found it to be a bit boring and would describe some of their fashions as matronly, (like too many flowers over a top with a full neck). They did have some cute pieces (cardigans, poncho, sweaters and vests), however they just weren't made of quality materials. For the price points advertised, they really need to raise the bar when it comes to quality. They had an extensive clearance section with deeply discounted items that can still be worn in this warm weather and transition with additional layers into fall. As far as I am concerned, this store is no substitute for the "real store" in Avalon. ***Yes, the associates will greet you and engage you but it felt rehearsed and plastic. I agree with Angela M. wholeheartedly that this place doesn't have prices that are much more discounted than the regular stores. The only saving grace is when they have 40% off the entire store or whatever and indeed, the clearance section is massive (and overwhelming). The ladies who work here are very eager to help and grab clothes when my arms reach max capacity. Though I don't always find something I like, there are deals to be had at times, and like any outlet shopping experience, you just have to be patient and relaxed as you browse. The checkout line can sometimes get long, which will completely discourage me from buying. I admit that there have been times when I will leave my carefully sourced bounty and just walk out because I run out of steam from the whole process of finding and trying on all my goodies. I hate trying on clothes but when you live so far away, you best do it lest you come home and find out something (a) is too tight, (b) fits in a weird way, (c) has a rip or nasty stain, or (d) feels icky on. I don't want a credit card but if you buy anything here, that is a question you will hear every single time. read more

This place is always a party. From the moment that you walk in the door, you're greeted by friendly sales people speaking loudly over the loud party music. The prices aren't that much different than a regular LOFT, so I'm not sure what makes this an outlet. But there is a HUGE clearance section, as it practically floor to ceiling. It actually makes it harder to see everything because there is so much. Be warned, you cannot go through this quickly, as there is relatively little organization (other than somewhat by size), and it decreases as the day goes on. They keep the dressing rooms moving - letting you take as many items as you like, checking on you for additional sizes where possible. The lighting is good and the curtains are thick, making for a comfortable experience in trying on items. They queue the line so that you don't have to pick which one is going to be fastest, but that also means that you have to walk past lots of trinkets to tempt you. All in all, one of my favorite stores at the outlets, as long as I've got the time to give it the attention that it needs. read more

While I did not shop the entire North Georgia Premium Outlets, I found the Ann Taylor Loft here to be suprisingly nice. I feel like sometimes in Outlet mall settings, stores can look like a war zone, but here everything was well organized and nicely laid out even with the large volume of people in the store. The line to the dressing rooms was extremely long, but the sales assistants did a great job in engaging customers and talking to them in the line. I had a very nice person help me find more sizes while I was in the dressing room. Next time I go to visit my friend in Atlanta, I will be sure to stop back by. Great shopping experience and not to harmful to the wallet. read more

Zero star for The customer service! Very rude manager at Houston Premium outlet! Don't waste your money to be treated unrespectfully! I will write it as a result of their attitude after I left my loft shopping bag in the loft store! Seriously, I can't leave this place without doing some serious damage to my credit card. It's pretty much like a regular Loft store, but with major sales. I tend to buy the same item in several colors(shoes, sunglasses, dresses, shirts), how convenient that they come in different colors! This location can get crowded, so you have to be patient while in line. It's also near a couple of my other favorite outlet stores, Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn. It's also at the back of the outlet mall, so you have a pretty good chance of scoring some up close parking. read more

Nice store with friendly salespeople. Way too much pressure to sign up for their credit card, though. I was asked while in the dressing room and again at the register if I had a LOFT account. The salesperson acted personally disappointed when I declined to sign up. They act like they're trying to save you money by offering you a line of credit with a 22% APR. No thanks. read more

Based on the North Georgia Premium Outlet's email blitz, a big sale was happening starting on Thursday 6/21. In order to avoid the maddening crowds of Fridays and weekends, Ann and I headed out right away. Among the stores we visited was this Loft, where she bought a really beautiful necklace and two tops and a pair of Bermudas for $55. The store clerk was cheerfully helpful, and the store was very well organized. PLUS, I had a comfortable place to sit and listen to the fine tunes on the PA. read more

I've already spoken with a manager about my experience but I felt the need to also make others aware of the type of service you should expect at this store. I came in for a return. I waited in line for almost 8 minutes. The only person working the register was being patient with a customer that was unsure of her purchases and kept putting stuff back and grabbing other things. Another associate just stood behind the cash wrap unwilling to assist. Nobody was behind me for 8 minutes. When the customer at the register was finishing and someone came behind me- the associate decided to help. Her name was Anna. I thought I was just exercising patience and assuming she must not be able to help with returns but she just didn't want to help me . It didn't sit right with me after I left so I called to speak with a manager- none available. I asked for the managers name and they were unable to give it to me. For three days I tried to speak with a manager. On the third day I finally was able to get the manager who explained that they have had scams so they don't give out the managers names but also apologized for Anna's rude behavior. She accepted responsibility for her employees behavior which is why this review gets two stars instead of one. But I can only imagine the people that just don't come back bc of the lack of customer service at this store. I shop at the Loft frequently and have always had outstanding service but this was my first time at this location. Hopefully with some coaching Anna will understand what customer service is and the type of industry she is in . read more
