Her name was Delaney and she was super nice, friendly, and genuinely helpful. I wanted a shirt but they didn't have it in my size at the store, so she looked online and said they had it in stock online. I still wasn't sure which size I would take, so she helped me find shirts that would be comparable sizing and material so that I could try those on and get the best guess I possibly could before ordering. There was another sales associate there with her who was also super nice and helpful. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name. Very friendly, dark hair - pulled back, young. We talked about washing instructions for linen shirts ;-) Anyways, I bought 2 shirts, then Delaney also placed my online order through their computer system and had the shirt delivered straight to me, with free shipping. As I was paying, I saw the other associate wrapping my shirts all nice in tissue paper :-) Normally when I shop at stores in general, I kind of just go in, get what I need on my own, and leave, and that's that. Sometimes sales people can be pushy, and it's not really my thing. But shopping here was the exact opposite - a very pleasant experience. I have probably only been in a J Crew store about 3 times in my life, but now I'll make it a regular stop when my husband goes to the Apple store!

Love love love small bookshops, get certificates for holiday gifts, they have sooo many nice things…read moreand they're the backbone of a community, a center to meet and to discover and to have kids book readings, continuing the love of reading and discovering new magical stories. Absolutely amazing to meet what I assume is the owner, who shared his incredible knowledge and quite interesting, if horrifying, details of William Burroughs biography. This is to me, the most crucial difference between a corporate chain, where the clerks might be nice and courteous, and a community based shop that knows its patronage, able to share insights with its customers, connecting people to stories and ultimately, creating new stories. What the gentlemen shared with me is sensational and haunting, it was about Burroughs shooting his wife at a party, trying to perform a trick by shooting the apple she placed on her head. He missed the apple. It haunted him and now, me, what a graphic image, what a horrendous and tragic way to part with life. And what a wonderful experience and a great book i purchased, in fact the selection here while small and eclectic, is quite impeccable. I purchased Zadie Smith's new book "the Fraud" and so glad i did, I really want that book in my library. Can't wait to come back to this shop.

Upon entering we were greeted by a nice gentlemen who let us explore the store at our own pace. Take a look at the great selection they had, you won't regret it. They also have story time during the week and weekends. Oh, it's also right next to the Crayola Factory! This store is interesting - it truly is like a legitimate "general store". There's a bit of…read moreeverything here like cramming a major department store into the frame of a dollar store. They have socks, underwear, pillows, food, etc But for anyone that assumes that it's another dollar store - don't. That part of the stores name might be a bit misleading. A lot of items range from $5-$10 but I definitely saw some items listed around $30 - so pay attention to the prices when there. A lot of the item prices weren't impressive and there are many local options to get most everything that's there for a better price. Several of the store's letters in the exterior sign were not illuminated when I approached the building so I might have walked through the doors with a bit of bias but I was impressed with the variety and inventory on the shelves. Most everything was well stocked and there was a good selection of items to choose from. One thing that was odd was the lack of any music in the store. I didn't think too much of it at first but then I realized that it was eerily quiet. For most of my shopping trip, there were about 4 or 5 people in the store - but you could have heard a pin drop with the silence.. personally, I guess I prefer the silence to xmas music or religious music that I've heard at other local stores but maybe something over the speakers would make for a better shopping experience. I found some cool and unique items at good prices but I'm curious about this business in its location. It would make a lot more sense in a remote and rural location than this shopping center near many other department stores.
