Outstanding high end gym in the Kotva Mall that was just minutes from the hotel I was staying at, Buddha Bar Hotel. State of the art equipment, nice hardwood floors, towel service and complimentary bottle of water (not sure because I was a guest at the Buddha Bar), great views, and a good looking crowd. Personal trainers and a great, knowledgeable staff. If I lived in Prague I would definitely join this gym--definitely look forward to returning here on my next visit. read more

Fitness Kotva has everything you really need for a decent workout (even though there is only one free weight squat rack and bench press). It's clean, seemed pretty new and wasn't crowded when I went at 11:00 am. Can't attest to how crowded it is during the mornings and evenings. Not sure if this is the standard for Czech gyms or just Fitness Kotva, but you have to have an extra pair of clean shoes just for the gym. You cant work out in the shoes you walked in with. A bit weird for me, but I complied. You must also have a towel with you and can rent one for 45-50 crowns if you don't have one. There is a 100 crown cash only deposit for a key to a locker and the day pass fee was 180 crowns (about $9.00 USD) which is pretty cheap. This gym is located on the fourth floor of the Kotva department store. Walk into the store and take the elevator up and the entrance will be on your left when you exit. If you're working out outside of store hours, there is a side door that will connect you directly to the elevator. read more

My wife and I both loved going to work out here. Many of the gyms during our vacation were a bit hit and miss, and when we did find a good gym, they were generally expensive for day passes or short stays. This gym will give you the most for the value. It is well maintained, has a nice variety of both gym equipment (free weights, machines, rooms for yoga and other activities, treadmills, etc). The locker rooms have lockers, showers, and they have towels for checkout. They will even make a protein shake for you (for a fee). If you want a great value, come to this gym! read more

Staff not very friendly. Central location. Decent equipment and variety. Located at the 4th floor of the mall. If your an American make sure to check your European rule book on going to the gym. You need two pair of shoes. The entry per day is 150 czk which isn't bad. read more

Nice gym, complete with all the weights took I could need. Dumbbells up to 50 KGs, squat racks and adjustable benches. Got a day pass for 140 Czech crowns ($7) if you don't have you own towel they make you rent one for 35 crown. The gym served all my needs and was very helpful. The gym is very difficult to find and is in the middle of a shopping complex so look for a vaguely labeled glass door and take the elevator up (ask someone who works in the mall and they'll chuckle and help you) locker is included in the day pass. The staff was very helpful and spoke more than enough English to explain everything. Overall nice place and I was very happy to get a lift in, only took a star off because of the difficultly of finding it. Great gym; all the modern equipment you want(with the exception of a barbell set, couldn't find one). Great location and pretty cheap visitor pass at 150 crowns. They sell protein bars also which is handy for travellers. Access is a bit interesting; 4th floor of a shopping centre and access is via a side staircase after the shopping centre closes. read more

great medium sized gym right in the center on the fourth floor of the department store Kotva. A little confusing to find at first but worth it. clean locker rooms and showers newly renovated and good equipment with great open windows looking out on the roofs of Prague! I really haven't been at any peak hours like right after work at five so I've never experienced crowded machines or equipment. generally a nice mixed crowd of locals and foreigners, beginners and the more advanced. read more

A HILARIOUS GYM CENTER Rules are the good things which keep everything in the order. However rules which are delivered as diarrhea are not the rules, bullshit is a better name. 1st practicing time I were allowing the bring my backbag into the centre, but on the 2nd, I were not allowed to bring bag in as the rule while others still can bring bag in. F me! 4th practicing time, one of the coachs approached me and very aggressive ask me "you have to get the towel to cover the bench for hygiene purpose, that is the rule here". Fine, I go get the towel with 30kc while many others dont have and even one of other coach was guiding his student to step on the bench with wearing shoes. Behalf they think the sole is much cleaner than my back. F me! 6th practicing time-final. The reception staff stop me and ask: "do you have a spare pairs of shoes? Me: For what? Staff: to protect the floor and hygiene you need a clean pairs of shoes, you cant not use your current shoes, that is the rule here" Me: "oh i have practiced here for nearly a month and no one tell me about this rule, because I have come so can I wash my shoes in toilet and comply the rule next time" Staff: "no go home" What the F? read more
