Elorde Boxing Gym - Muay Thai training

Elorde Boxing Gym

Everyone seems to be getting fit nowadays and I believe that there is no better way of doing it…read moreother than eating right and getting proper exercise. I was an active member of Elorde Boxing Gym in Don Antonio back in 2010 to 2013 and of all the sports that I've been involved to, Boxing and Muay Thai training is by far the most strenuous and most calorie-burning physical exercise for me. Elorde has definitely sweated a hell lot of fat from me! The biggest weight loss I had was with their Muay Thai and Boxing programs. For sure, you've seen a lot of Elorde branches around the metro. I've tried Lagro, Katipunan and Don Antonio branches and I can tell that all maintains quality services and facilities. All of the branches were accessible to me but I find it more comfortable and at home with the trainers in Don Antonio because they train beginners and advanced students better than the others that I've worked with. They know how to engage and motivate their students one step at a time with proper combat and martial arts discipline and eventually hardcore training! Also, the best part about Elorde training is the mandatory post work-out massage that's surely gonna pass you out. If you're looking for an indoor activity to sweat you out this coming rainy season, I suggest you try Elorde Gym. To me, it's better to be fit with skill training than weights and other gym machines. I hired Annie Lyn Rivas as my personal trainer and trained with her for 8 months before leaving BGC…read more. She is incredibly knowledgeable in her field and brought my fitness to a new level helping me with my nutrition and exercise. She was always on time and motivating and kept me on track with my goals. I've trained with other trainers and honestly I have not been able to find anyone as knowledgeable as Annie Lyn that made me progress like she did and surpass my fitness goals . I highly recommend anyone in BGC / Makati area looking for a professional certified trainer to contact Ms Rivas. She is a true professional in her field not to mention a competitive professional athlete herself.

She developed a program for me that involved multiple types of physical training --- weight lifting, high and low intensity cardio, interval training, tabata, sprints, etc. During each workout she was firm but encouraging, always helpful and kind. I considered each session a therapy session as well because Coach Annie is a great listener. We developed a friendship that I continue to treasure up to today. She was always open to my own inputs into my training, and evolved my program when I needed to change it up. I increased both strength and endurance because Coach Annie is a runner AND a lifter, so both are given equal attention in my program. I was at peak form on my wedding day, a strong (not skinny) size 2. Beyond the improved physical appearance, I developed discipline and focus and created a friendship with a woman who trained not only through her created program but also through example. One look at her and you will know she is more than legit. She is also a breath of fresh air, professional smart, funny, and empathetic. You can't go wrong with her. She is one of the best things that ever happened to me, and when I look at my wedding photos I'm always reminded of what she did for me and my body. Thank you for everything coach!

Looking for a fun workout to break your bodybuilding routine? HIT Arena pushes your explosiveness…read moreand endurance for athletic conditioning. It's something different versus boring and repetitive movements you'll do at a regular gym. There's a class that starts every hour and newbies are welcome to join. Get your first session free! Just a tip, call in advance to check if you can avail your trial class. Applying circuit training in the routine, your body will be gasping for energy during 45 minutes of what-did-I-get-myself-into and charged fits of Spartan brawn! Bring a towel and a bottle of water. It's perfectly located along Aguirre aka BF foodie haven so reward yourself with a perfect post workout meal.

I was slow, I slept poorly and overall felt so unhealthy. I felt like I needed to make a switch to another form of exercise that would have me back to where I was years ago. I needed to find my own drill sergeant, someone that would make me do rounds of painful exercise and see to it that I finish strong. Aware that I was too hard-headed for my own good, I headed to Hit Arena with no idea about what they would make me do. After 30 minutes, I was severely hit. There is nothing sweet about this type of workout and the instructors don't tell you that it will be easy. In fact, they tell you that it will be difficult but once you understand the motions of this high intensity workout and see the effects on your body you'll soon know why they don't take it easy on you. It's go hard, rest briefly and go hard again type of training captured in 3 but very short brutal workouts. The instructors explain to you things that you already know but tend to forget such as why donuts are bad and make you experience why they are bad based on the number of burpees they will make you do to counteract all that evil sugar. It's a great workout for those who want to get serious at being fit and for others in dire need of some Spartan training.

Signed up for the circuit training session and loved how it keeps everything moving--no time to get bored with those quick 30-second switches between stations. The variety is insane: one minute you're doing kettlebell swings, next it's TRX rows, then some bodyweight stuff that actually challenges you. The trainers were super encouraging without being pushy, and the vibe in the group classes is so motivating--everyone's just there grinding together. Finished with a quick Body Balance class to stretch and cool down, and I left feeling energized instead of wiped out. This place really makes fitness fun again. 5 stars, no question--I'll be back regularly now!

I was first introduced to 360 Fitness Club about four years ago when I decided I wanted to lose weight. The journey to slimmer me wasn't easy but being at 360 made it seem less like work because the workout were actually fun. Their circuits change every quarter so I don't get bored doing the same things over and over again. Plus, group classes like suspension training, kettle bell, Body Jam, yoga, and even Zumba make going to the gym a lot less taxing. And who doesn't love options when it comes to their workouts? If you're like me, and want to take your workout a notch higher, I suggest you avail of their personal training service. Depending on your fitness goal (weight loss, toning, etc.), they have a fine number of men and women to help you out. I have my trainer to thank because these days I can lift weights I never thought I could and even climb mountains!

Occasionally I'd still come here for special events. I came today because it was the only Fitness First gym I know open on Christmas day. The last time I was here was May 2015 so let's see if anything's changed. AIR-CONDITIONING/VENTILATION I remember writing on the club's complaint form a year ago because air conditioning was very bad. So bad that a lot of people would be leaving group classes especially RPM/cycling because it gets too warm in some parts of the room. But now it's very cold that I was shivering in the locker room. EQUIPMENT The tricep rope thing that attaches to the cable machine smells! Other machines were fine. Glad to see 2 preacher curl benches (gone in FF RCBC). Not all the workout benches used for the BodyStep class have the rubber that grips the floor! While they might be safe to use for BodyPump, be careful not to use them in Step classes. Bikes for RPM/Cycling are new-ish, can't complain about them. Yoga mats didn't smell bad. CLASSES I attended Crunch's BodyAttack and Ahlee's BodyStep class. Love both classes and teachers! It was my first time with Crunch who I think is one of the manager of the club. I kinda like the class atmosphere in this club, everyone's just doing their best to workout plus they seem to be enjoying what they're doing.
