I hired Kevin 7 months ago to train me in boxing (I had no previous experience). Here are the…read morereasons I'm a happy client: 1. Kevin will make you work your butt off and push you. Even when I say I've spent all my energy, he will make me dig down into my spare reserves and keep going. I'm far more athletic and stronger than when I began training, and I feel great about my physique when I look in the mirror. My boxing has improved to the point a couple other trainers have approached me at the gym and complimented me. If you are serious about getting in shape or training, this is your guy. 2. He's very knowledgeable. In 7 months, I've rarely done the same exercise twice so sessions are always stimulating because I'm learning something nearly every time. In addition to equipment at the gym, Kevin will frequently bring some new gadget from his house for me to try (usually it's more challenging than the stuff at the gym). Additionally, he's buds with nearly every other trainer at the gym (Mendez Boxing) and has a reputation of excellence among his peers (seriously, they've come up to me and said "Kevin knows what he's doing, stick with him"). 3. I've experienced fitness trainers who coach too much and trainers who coach too little. Kevin hits the sweet spot between correcting me enough so that I don't learn bad habits or injure myself, but not so much that I feel I'm attending a lecture on boxing instead of a training session. 4. Kevin is perceptive to his clients' personalities and adapts his teaching style so it's compatible. For instance, I'm introverted and don't chat much so we're always right down to business. However, I've sparred with a much more outgoing client of Kevin's and they are much more chummy. In conclusion, I can't recommend Kevin enough so if you're shopping for trainers, contact him and schedule a session.

I've been working with Kevin since 2010, the year before i got married. he got me into shape,…read moretaught me to box, conditioning, strength training and aerobic activities. I would definitely recommend Kevin to anyone who is looking for a serious results with serious commitments! Kevin knows how to push me to the right limits and when i also have my off days, he is willing to work with my schedule, my locations and is wiling to try new activities. Kevin is also very knowledgable of the body and the correct exercises to work out. In addition, his boxing training has become a hobby for me, helped improve my eye-hand coordination and my reflex time is significantly improved. I really enjoy this aspect of the work out as it is something outside the "normal go to the gym do some weights and some elliptical machine". One last thing - his prices are reasonable comparing him to other trainers! And i get my money's worth! I'll definitely continue to work with him, and would continue to recommend him to other people.

I love Dr. John Sayegh! He's an amazing natural healer and educator. I went to Dr. Sayegh…read morebecause of constant stress which gave me daily jaw and neck pain, and headaches which Tylenol, Advil, or Aleve couldn't help. I was in pain everyday! It took me months to see him because the idea of someone "cracking" my neck and back really freaked me out. I finally took the step. He could tell just by the way my boyfriend and I walked in the room where some of our issues were. I love the way he explains chiropractic medicine and the connection between your brain and spine to illness, stress and pain. I was nervous during my first adjustment but he could tell where my subluxations (spine misalignments) were just by feeling on my neck and spine. After a few adjustments, which were startling for a first timer, but not painful, I immediately felt great. My head, neck and jaw pain disappeared, my shoulders dropped, and I was walking taller. This one session was all I needed to be completely convinced and a Dr. Sayegh convert. I've had several sessions since, and each time just keeps getting better. I know that everyone, adult, child, and infant can benefit in some way from Dr. Sayegh's natural, medication free, hands on approach. Pain, numbness, tingling sensations, stress, reproductive issues, constipation, nerve issues, etc. can all be helped by Dr. Sayegh's approach. I'm a believer!

Dr. Aordkian was great, and I would recommend him. He took lots of time to analyze the source of my…read moreback pain, asking me to do different stretches to find the source of the pain. As with the review below, I found him to be very knowledgeable and he helped me understand what he was doing as he did my spinal adjustments. He also helped demonstrate and work with me on stretches that will help keep me in alignment for the future. Bottom line, after several very knowledgeable medical professionals, Dr. Aordkian was the one to finally figure out the source of my back pain and do the necessary adjustments to eliminate the pain. His office staff was very helpful and friendly, too. His office is pretty convenient in Grand Concourse, close to Yankees Stadium--it's not as flashy and modern as some other chiropractors downtown, but his expertise was on point.

Not only are his workouts intense and always challenging, he is personable, positive, and attentive. He pushes you hard in a positive and teasing way, which is always a good method for progress. I consider myself to be in pretty good shape, and yet, even with the first class, he had my legs shaking afterwards. I didn't walk to the subway station after class -- I hobbled. (That's when I questioned just how in shape I really was...) I always look forward to his classes, and especially recommend the outdoor boot camp. Every class was worth every penny. Duke gets my vote for BEST Boot Camp Instructor and Personal Trainer!!!

My first session here was alright. The therapist went through all the aspects of a good therapy…read moresession - e-stim, ultrasound, manual therapy, stretching, strengthening exercises - so I felt pretty confident that I would see some results regarding my pain. My insurance doesn't fully cover the sessions. It was first explained that $60 would cover the first 4 sessions then it'll be $25 per session. The next time it was explained to me that it's actually $60 for 3 sessions, $45 for the 4th session and the $25 for the rest of the sessions. Mmm... Confusing, but ok fine. At my second session I had to wait 30m to be seen - why someone didn't have me jump on a stationary bike in the meantime is baffling. When the therapist finally arrived he didn't know which area he was treating on me - I had to correct him! He gave me manual therapy (didn't ask which area was hurting), then e-stim with a cervical instead of lumbar hot pack. Once that was done he proceeded to massage my back with a massager and then said "ok you're all set". All set?! All set for what?! I had to ask him to at least do some stretching! So here is where the problem lies, why would I pay $60 out of pocket for a 30 minute mediocre therapy session? 5m manual therapy, 20m of laying down with a hot pack, 5m of massage with a massager. So I was treated by a therapist for 5m for $60?! And how come the treatment part of the session was about 45m but the second 30m? I am a physical therapist myself (surprise!) and I was VERY disappointed with the care. Their time management is horrible. Why schedule so many appointments at the same time and have patients sitting around with nothing to do. Little do they know the sacrifices I had to make to even attend the session (ie child care, traveling, paying out of pocket). For the amount of money I would be paying it's best for me to head to a massage parlor and join a gym. If my insurance were to cover the sessions fully I would look into going to another facility where the therapy was more intense, the equipment wasn't outdated and the staff was more invested in their work. Hopefully there are others having a better experience here.
