My first lesson with Okky was in September 2024 - there were quite a few changes (not drastic) but fundamental changes needed. The first lesson tremendously helped me and at the same time trying to get used to the change. At times, it seems that you wanted to revert to the way you used to - but I pulled that temptation away and remind myself to be patient with this change and to give it a chance. In May 2025, I went for my 2nd lesson - he continued to reinforced the initial lesson that I had. Then in January 2026, I went for my 3rd lesson to improve my Driving of the ball. We began with Iron shots practice, he reinforced the same lesson I had before. He added few more concepts that I continued to implement during practice. Seems that 3rd lesson is a charm and with a little patience applying these concepts seems to get somewhat easier! With these 3 lessons it paid off! I'd like to share that Last Monday 03-02, I broke 80 at Goosecreek Golf Course. Thank You Okky for your time and drills/concepts you had ingrained in me and making me understand the mechanics. I strongly recommend Okky for your golf instruction needs.

After many weeks of looking, I found Okky from Golf Made Sense. I was immediately impressed with the simulator set up he has where you can see the tiniest flaw with your golf swing. We did a trial day for him and he had a great time and can't wait to go each weekend. Head Coach Yang and his fellow coaches are very professional, have a great ability to manage kids at this age and have a technical mindset to work on your kids learning progression. They offer Group lessons (4:1 ratio), family and private lessons. The group classes work great for us as it allows our son to look at other kids his age and replicate the same discipline and focus around his skills / approach to the sport. The event was held at the Via Verde Country Club which overlooks the San Dimas and Via Verde local area. It has amazing views and lots of nice sections like a ballroom, dining area, pool, tennis courts, and I believe a golf course. The service was first class, and spare no expenses. They had fire dancers, a girl in a large bubble in the pool, a sketch artist, live band, and an assortment of hor d'oeuvres throughout the evening including salmon, meatballs, veggie dishes, and shrimp. Everything was great. They had an entire indoor area as well with a spread of desserts. Very classy place and a great time. I recommend booking events here.

My daughter who is 12 has been taking lessons from George for about a year now after her previous coach moved away. We found him through other junior golfers on the tour who have been winning many tournaments. Did a little reaearch on him and found out that he has worked with numerous high ranked junior golfers as well as top PGA pros. He have even worked with Rory McIlroy and Lexi Thompson on ESPN Golf special!! George has a dedicated studio set up at far end of the driving range with impressive numbers of high tech gears. Trackman is one of them. Its a very high end doppler radar based launch monitor used by many pros and on PGA Tour tournaments that can accurately calculate numerous aspects of the swing and the ball flight such as balk speed, spin rate, launch angle etc. The most important one of them for my daughter right now is the club path and face angle at impact. We are talking about 2~3 degrees here. Numbers don't lie and by accurately knowing these numbers that gets displayed on the monitor right in the front after each shot, you can be very efficient to know what went wrong. No scratching your head anymore. Combined with this device and George's expertise, my daughter has improved her game significantly and was able to drop her HC to about 6. I can not be any happier with the result, and that is why we drive almost an hour to go see him.

There is a lower deck and upper deck and plenty of lanes to choose from. A large bucket of 100 balls is $10 and the small bucket is $5. There is a restroom on site. Played last week in a group of three for the first time. Ended up bringing on a single player who thought he should be playing from the Blues when everybody else was from the Whites. He definitely wasn't good enough to be playing from there. Unfortunately, since one of the group of three had a rider with him, conversation didn't go well as the groups were separated on the tee boxes. They had four carts out there during Covid so I'm not sure why having three carts for a group like this would be an issue. Definitely won't be playing in a group of three there and we'll move somewhere else if needed.
