I started training with Wais and he's helped me with my back and the pain in my hip by strength training and stretching exercises that have helped with my pain that now I don't have any pain and can walk without any pain. I'm so grateful to Wais for helping me and if anyone was having any pain I'd highly recommend going to him for any help. He's highly knowledgeable and knows what exercises are good for you specifically.

On another note, most of the staff at this location are very hard working, diligent and friendly. My observation is that they have to stand throughout the day. Why aren't the staff given a chair at the front desk so that they can rest their legs and back during the day? I mean that this is a gym after all and they should be concerned with health and well being and it seems contradictory to health to have such great employees standing all during their shifts. I am posting this because I value the connections that I have made at this gym and the staff are extraordinary especially Tanisha and Charmaine. Also, the Instructors are pretty epic too but I haven't done the classes in more than four years! This is because of the momentum that I lost during the closures of the gyms and I never quite managed to rediscover my love for body combat, body pump and body flow. Body pump and body combat are a must for me. And I can't forget my addiction: Zumba. I always do a little something extra on Zumba days cause its so fun you almost feel like you aren't working out hard enough. (maybe thats just me) Gyms include other services at extra costs: towel service, child minding, tanning and bootcamp.

They have both massage chairs and hydro massage machines which are nice at the end of a workout. Staff here are very friendly and provide excellent service. It…read moreis big, there's more equipment than the one at the bcc, parking hasn't been an issue yet, there is hot yoga and towel service at this location, the lockers are larger, the women's side is huge and has way more equipment than the one at the bcc, the people are more intense here (that could be good or bad), the gentleman at the front desk was helpful, the lady made me feel stupid for not knowing where anything was even though I told her I'd never been there before. Hot yoga is free for members on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. You need to get a stamp to enter the class so get there a bit early. It wasn't the best hot yoga I've been to. The room is small and the floors are made of mats instead of hardwood. It wasn't as hot as other studios but I was still sweating buckets. I didn't find the teacher was spectacular either, but you get what you pay for. I liked how they had more machines, I didn't find myself waiting for anything. I haven't used the free weights yet, so I'm not sure about that aspect. The mats at the back of the room STINK. Eww wth I have never smelled mats like that before. There is a room on one side for work out classes and another room for spin classes. The showers aren't as new as the one at the Bramalea City Centre and the sauna is older but everything works fine. There are blow driers, cream, shampoo, conditioner, and an ironing board which is standard for any Goodlife. The locker room is very spacious. I only saw two massage chairs here and my boyfriend says they aren't very good. There are so many temptations around here... candies at Giant tiger, Pizza at Dominos, Mcdonalds, the beer store. It's hard to resist. 24 hrs Monday to Thursday. Only open till 6 on Saturday! Booooo.

This location used to be a bar/nightclub called Raxx and that was around six years ago and once that ended the Goodlife gym popped up. I have been going to this gym since May and I really like the place! There is a women's only section with women's only classes and that is where I can be found. I have tried numerous classes including: Newbody (a light intro class that uses light weights to work the entire body) Zumba (Latin inspired dance and fitness) Body Flow (Yoga, Pilates, meditation and my personal fav.) Body Attack (Cardio class) Cardio Blast (Bootcamp style Cardio class..hence the name) Firm Parts (centers around the use of free weights for an entire body workout) Awesome Abs (Short ab workout class) I am still exploring the club and classes, I am very satisfied with the staff and instructors. They are attentive, funny and give everyone the workout that they need. This is a nice gym but ladies can be pigs and sometimes the ladies washrooms are gross... C'mon ladies, clean up after yourselves.

What happened to me feels like a deliberate setup to trap customers into unfair charges. Here are the facts: On December 8, 2025, I submitted an online request on Goodlife website to Temporary freeze my membership until April 30, 2026. My billing date is normally the 9th of each month (CAD $116.52), which is exactly why I submitted the request on the 8th -- to avoid being charged. From that date onward, neither I nor my secondary member ever visited the club again. According to information on GoodLife's website, a frozen membership should cost only $10/month. Yet here's what actually happened: * Dec 9, 2025: Charged $116.52 * Jan 9, 2026: Charged $21.04 * Feb 9, 2026: Charged $69.56 * Mar 9, 2026: Charged $69.56 This is completely inconsistent, confusing, and clearly not the advertised freeze fee. When I called customer service on March 24, 2026， instead of helping, they gave me a series of very complicated, misleading explanations trying to justify every charge and ultimately blamed everything on me. They refused to refund any of the improper charges. The customer service representative just kept repeating many times: "We are not pay-per-visit, and our charges are valid and correct." That's completely beside the point. Of course, I know you're not pay-per-visit -- if I thought you were, why would I be paying a monthly fee at all? Their "reasons" were outrageous: 1. You must submit a freeze request at least 3 days before the billing date. This requirement was NOT clearly disclosed during the online process. 2. Only my primary account was frozen, not the secondary account. There was NO clear option or instruction online to freeze the secondary account separately. Any reasonable person would assume both are included. You charge me 2-persong together and you freeze us separately? This feels like a deliberate trap to keep charging extra fees. 3. Cancellation requires 30 days' notice. Meaning they will continue charging you for another full month even after you try to leave. This is not customer service -- this is predatory billing disguised as policy. I was so frustrated that I immediately cancelled my membership on the same phone call, but even then, I believe they will still charge me again due to their 30-day rule. In summary be aware: * Hidden rules * Poorly disclosed conditions * Confusing billing structure * Refusal to resolve or refund * Policies designed to maximize charges, not fairness This feels like a system designed to take advantage of customers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was in the exact same situation with another brand name club. At that time, I was able to temporarily freeze my membership, and later cancel it without any issues. The process was much simple, transparent, and straightforward. I have never encountered problems like the ones I am facing now. This inconsistency is both confusing and frustrating. If you value transparency and fair treatment, Think Twice before JOIN from GoodLife Fitness. There are many other choices out there.
