The main issue I've had is unsanitary behavior.in the men's locker room. Despite all the signs about washing before getting in the hot tub or cold plunge and wearing proper swim attire, guys (particularly under 25 yo crowd) will routinely use the sauna or steam room, and then hop right in the hot tub or cold plunge with nothing but underwear. Even worse, they throw their underwear in the swim suit water extractor. The locker rooms often smell like sewage. I've even been swimming laps only to see a bunch of high school or early college aged males jumping in the pool with only underwear... there were little kids at the pool! I spoke up that time, and they actually were surprised saying they had done it multiple times. Staff has been informed but does not enforce. The response I've received is, "it's above my pay grade." Upper level management and female staff seem to care more about this, but nothing has been done that actually fixes the issue. Apart from this it would be a 4/5 rating overall.

I always loved standing underneath the waterfall and having the weight of the water get a little shiatsu massage my shoulders and head, and the massage jets in the hot tub also do a number on aching muscles (although all the jets are positioned in exactly the same spot so it's hard to massage anything other than your exact mid) back. The locker rooms are lovely as well (it's an especially nice touch to have a swimsuit dryer so you don't have to carry a drippy suit back to your room or house), and it's always nice to treat yourself to a sauna after your workout. It doesn't take long for the sauna to heat up, and I recommend turning it on before you swim so that it's hot and ready afterwards. The pipes in the shower area could use a major overhaul though. It sounds like a massive road construction project is going on right above your head when you're in the shower. Also, there is zero suds factor on the shampoo in the dispensers and even after rewashing several times and using tons of pumps of the stuff my hair didn't feel clean afterwards. I was staying at the hotel this week for a conference -- when I went back to the pool on day three In brought my own shampoo with me.

This is nothing to be prideful about, because as complex as our conscious self is, it is still subject to the moving of our seasons, the rotations of our planets, and the blinking of distant stars. Every day is one where we can be intentional in our movements through IT. Will we be Good? Will we do what is good for our self? Will we strive for intentional growth into maturity in our communities? My spouse and I have popped in and out of this place over the past few years. We love the staff, the leaders, and the community. There is life and vibrancy here. There is acceptance and warmth here. Sure, that warmth may be a yoga studio with the heat turned up to HOT, but it will be a delightful time, to a machine of light. That is what separates this location from others, the kindness and willingness to teach others to be a good belay. It's clear that they want to spread the excitement over such a transformative hobby. It was so affective, I married the last person I took there on our first official date. It was a Covid wedding in 2021, but that only added to the excitement of climbing this mountain, we call marriage. Thank you for this location and its people.
