Great fitness facility inside the LV Baseball Academy!…read more The owner and trainer, Kyle Shannon, is very knowledgeable. He provides instructional coaching and packets on obtaining an overall healthy lifestyle. He's very welcoming and great at making everyone feel comfortable. The adult fitness is a group workout where members receive individual attention while being in a team atmosphere that's very encouraging and supportive. I was hesitant at first, just tagging along with my husband once a week. But after a couple weeks I love going! I've bumped my visits to two/three times a week. Would definitely recommend! Great for anyone looking to lose weight, gain muscle, live healthier, or become stronger post injury.

Kyle, Drew, and Katie (the trainers) are some of the nicest, most positive and encouraging people you will ever meet. They will kick your butt, and you will love it. The workout is different every day but they always make sure you are doing the movements correctly to avoid injury. The new facility (on Broad St. in Bethlehem) is beautiful and clean. The atmosphere is positive and accepting. There is no pretense; come as you are. You will find all ages, stages and fitness levels here. I have been coming for over a year and I'm in the best shape of my life. It's the only workout I can stick to for more than a few months. They have free trial classes, so no reason not to check it out!

I've never been an athlete, nor particularly active. Hitting my mid-40's overweight and slouching…read moretowards my family history of all manner of illnesses sent me on a search for some way to avoid an early convalescence. Enter Jiva Fitness. Mark and Heather helped me better understand what I needed to do in order to take control of my health and fitness. Starting with Personal Training sessions was the right choice for me. I got to test my ability and asses my limitations with guidance and support. When I started to take Group Fitness classes I felt totally confident in my ability to at least 'get through' a workout. And yes, that's how low my bar was set. I was able to drop 10% of my body weight, make some lasting sustainable changes to my diet and I can honestly say although I still don't consider myself an athlete, Jiva Fitness has helped me to enjoy being active. With all the different types of group fitness classes, my workout can vary to fit whatever I need in any given week. And they all complement each other very well. I always found plenty of excuses not to take better care of myself. But, I realized that nobody else was going to do it for me. Just showing up to class is a win. It's one step closer than I was before. Inch by inch, pound by pound, I get stronger. I get more energy. I get more enjoyment out of being alive. I don't think I would have gotten this far without Mark & Heather's constant support and encouragement. As well as all the other folks in class! Do it. Go. Now.

Similar to a small YMCA gym. Better than a planet fitness although much smaller. I go after work at…read morethe hospital around 4-6pm and it's never crowded. Gym is clean and equipment is a bit older but maintained well. Locker rooms are clean. Women's has two showers and have shampoo, conditioner, hair gel and lotion. Plenty of lockers with included locks and keys. Weights: Two power cages/squat racks and a smith machine. Ample plates from 2.5lb-45lb. About 7 adjustable benches (no rack, just the bench)and dumbbells up to 100 lbs or so. A cable machine with about 8 stations and lots of attachments. The cable machine has numbers, not weight equivalents. Assisted or unassisted pull-up/dip station. Variety of kettlebells up to about 50lbs. Other equipment: 3 plyo boxes up up to 24" tall. There's a large cushioned bench, probably 8'x8', that's great for core work, rather than laying on the floor. Resistance bands and station to attach them at various heights. TRX straps on one of the power cages. A handful of medicine balls. Cardio: About 8 treadmills, 5 ellipticals, 5 stationary bikes and 2 rowing machines. Some of the stationary bikes are a little wonky. Machines: Circuit of about 15 well-maintained machines including bench press, overhead press, row, leg press, bicep curl, ab/back extension and more. Classes: 2-3 per day at noon and around 4. Some yoga, some fitness. Amenities: TVs, controllable from the cardio equipment. Nice view of the highway and the woods beyond. Water, powerade and bottled protein drinks available at reasonable prices. It's $24.99/mo or free for LVHN staff. It's for general fitness. Not a luxe club or a powerlifting gym. Some people are pretty fit, some not fit at all, most people are average. If I could change things, I would add more free weights and take out some of the machines. I hardly ever see anyone on the machines. Will add pics if I can get any without people. Will update if I get more accurate counts on the equipment.

There's never anything to sanitize things down before or after use of machines. Upholstery is broken on about 50% of the equipment. Water fountain has rust on it, and mold. The bathrooms are never stocked or clean. The showers are a biohazard in and of itself. There is always cancellations of the classes they provide. They do not offer any services advertised like karate classes, and pilates. they do not have a chiropractor on site, they fired her. The spa is not run by licensed cosmetologists, the cafe is always dirty and unkept. There is rust in the indoor pool, the therapy pool seat is corroding, which is terrible as it is used for transport of disabled individuals in and out of the pool. There is never anyone on management wise that can offer answers to my questions. Seems they just fired them all, as the three that were there when i signed up are now no longer employed. I want to warn anyone to this gym, as it's dirty, overpriced, and they serve alcohol? It's the owners nightclub on steroids, more than a serious venue to work out. I took my business to Planet Fitness, at least there they upkeep with the best work out machines available, and their classes are never cancelled.

I'm trying to join back up. I've called three times, always told a membership sales person will get back to me to set up a time, or to send a request through the online messaging system. Well I have done that twice now, 2 different weeks. And I still have yet to hear an answer or call back.
