This class is not as structured and not as traditional, but it is a good shift. It's not so far from the traditional 26 and two that you get lost, but it does have some sections where you can do alternative poses or add vinyasas if you prefer. I really really liked the teacher who was also the owner. She has a really good energy and was really helpful and kind to me when I got there and talked me through how the class would go since it was not what I'm used to. I look forward to being able to go again while I'm in town for work. I would also like to try some other classes at the studio because it's really nice and opened an airy and I think it's got a really great vibe.

The instructors are super sweet and friendly. There is a diverse offering of classes that will make yogis and yoginis of all skill levels feel at home. The teachers are great at offering modifications and classes are intended to be individualized and for oneself rather than an athletic competition (though you're bound to feel the burn!) I especially love Yin yoga, which is half meditation, half holding long deep poses. It takes a lot of determination and focus, and works wonders on my anxiety. I also love regular flows and hot classes. One great thing about this studio is that you can book online via a seamless foolproof system.

You have to go to a separate area that has a check-in if you're doing some of the classes that are in the larger hot room. Everything was clean they have bathrooms where you can change or use the facilities. The check-in desk was in a really nice clean open spot like area. The room I practiced in was also very big and open and have lots of space, but it was a packed class. I went for the original 26 in hopes that it was a Bikram style yoga. The website did say that there were some variations to a traditional class. There were more variations than I prefer. I live in Orlando and I'm able to go to traditional Bikram classes regularly and they are my preferred type of yoga so this one was a little bit different than what I like to do and I did not go back. The teacher was friendly and seemed to know a few students so if you went regularly, you would feel welcomed I believe. They do also have a good new student promotion

Wouldn't a normal person take it completely easy during the holiday? Anyway, I Googled quite a bit and found Yoga Power Tallahassee. I contacted them and shortly thereafter I spoke to Ashley. I discussed my options with her and ended up purchasing a $30 pass for 30 days. It's apparently some promotion they run for new clients. They also have packages based on classes, which spoiler alert, whenever I'm back in town, I will definitely get as I so thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The yoga studio itself is small. You have a few places to sit and a counter but not much else. You can tell it has a homey feel and it definitely shows. Ashley had even invited me to a gathering they had the Friday after Thanksgiving. I thought she was beyond nice and it was such a change of pace from the typical South Florida lifestyle. In terms of classes, they have plenty of options. A yoga power hour class, vinyasa yoga, some yin yoga, and these are only the ones I went to. You have yoga mats, blocks, blankets, etc., available for use, although most people just bring their own. The place is spotless and unless there's some incense burning, you won't smell anything. The incense usually accompanies the classes and it has such a relaxing feel to it. All the classes I took I had Ashley as my instructor. I believe she is the owner as well. I never really asked honestly. At any rate, she made the entire experience a real delight. I felt super comfortable with her. She never made me feel out of place for being from out of town or for not really being a yoga practitioner. It felt like visiting an old girlfriend's house who just happens to practice yoga. This small studio has a lot of heart. You can tell that the regulars really like this place. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. It definitely made me reminisce about what it's like living in a college town. That said, I was surprised that this studio's only been around for a year given that it seems to have a following if their social media is anything to go by. Truly had a great time with some great people at a lovely studio. Recommend this business hands down and will return when I visit again. For now I'll just have to make due with the tank top I bought from them.

I just received a phone from them stating that they "Received my information" and wanted to talk about me about joining. When I asked how they "received my information" they informed me I must have clicked an ad or social media post. I do not recall doing so, but its possible I clicked something. Regardless, clicking an ad should should not result in a phone call. I find this to be predatory marketing behavior. It immediately makes me not trust this business. I will say the person I spoke to was very nice and said they call people all the time who do not recall clicking an ad. They understood I was not interested and polite about it. Ultimately this person is just doing their job. Given that we live in a world where data is stolen, sold and people get inundated with spam calls I think its bad practice to use this type of marketing for a "local" business. It feels predatory and out of touch.
