I stopped by Fishs Eddy with some friends last weekend, when we were walking around DUMBO after dinner. This location opened in October 2025, but the store has a long history in NYC. Not every store - especially one selling dinnerware and home goods - is able to find a publisher for a graphic novel about its history, but Fishs Eddy was. This location might not have everything the original location (in Gramercy Park) does, but it's still well-stocked of the goods you'd expect to see at Fishs Eddy: antique or antique-inspired dinnerware, quirky household items, charming and funny art, and more. The store is cute and filled with fun things to browse through. The staff weren't super friendly - we weren't welcomed to the store and weren't spoken to until standing at the register - but it was a still a good shopping experience. It's a great place to stop by, whether you're visiting NYC and want a souvenir, whether you love to cook or host and need plates or bowls or coffee mugs, or whether you just like a quirky shop. read more
