The doctor kept selling puffers (with steroid) to me and insisted I had seasonal allergy. Totally ignored the fact that I had began with a cold. (I got suspicious to a point that I think she is doing big pharma puffer sales as a side job.) Then she said without an X-ray, she cannot prescribe antibiotics or I can go to the hospital emergency. (huh??) I cannot believe how incompetent recent doctors are. It must have been the deterioration of the medical educational system. I, however, meet a really good doctor at this walk-in on a separate occasion. So it really depends on luck.

A couple of weeks ago I followed up on my test results and I spoke to someone at front desk. She had disclosed that I was tested positive for something and was going to fax the prescription to my pharmacy after 2hrs. She even verified my full name and the day that I came in for the test. A few hours later I called my pharmacy to see whether they had received a fax from this clinic and I was told they haven't. I called my pharmacy the following morning and again they told me that they did not receive anything. The following day I sent the clinic a fax to disclose my conversation with the receptionist and also gave the pharmacy's fax number again. It's been two weeks since I've heard anything from the clinic. Yesterday i decided to drop in myself to figure out what was happening and I was getting worried. During my visit, the doctor told me that my test results were clear and there wasn't anything wrong with me. However I told him multiple times that someone at front desk confirmed with me that I was tested positive for (cannot publicly disclose). I was furious and not impressed with the lack of professionalism someone at front desk had showed me. The fact that she misinformed me is actually a huge concern because she has caused stressed on me and she doesn't know that a small mistake could result into a serious matter. I only came here a few times because I work long hours and can't find the time to see my family doctor. But if you can, try to stick to seeing your own doctor because their staff is lacking in professionalism and can risk providing wrong information, which happened in my case. I'm just happy that I saw my own lab results. This time I read it myself so that I could see solid proof that I'm healthy otherwise. Beyond disappointed and still disgusted.

I waited about five minutes and was seen by Dr. Chippin. He was very friendly and listened keenly to my concerns. After explaining my condition he asked if there was anything else I needed. Much different from other practices that rush you. I didn't mind the journey to this clinic - very clean, receptionist was nice and close to no wait time. However, the clinic did inform me I can walk in in case I need services. The email response time is exceptionally good and prompt. This is a good sign that in terms of administrative functions, it is quite efficient. In respect of the medical services, I have no idea how they are doing until I visit them next time.

Here on Yelp, for instance, it says they're a walk-in clinic, which could potentially lead to wasting both a potential patient's and the doctor's time. Maybe that's Yelp's fault, though, I don't know. I was recommended to Dr. Ng by a friend a while ago when I was in North York and had a fever. This friend was a registered patient of Dr. Ng's, said she was kind and attentive. I'm sure she's great to her clients, but as a walk-in patient I felt like she was practically shoving me out the door. I was sick and visiting a new place and had high expectations from my friend's glowing review. What a letdown. This experience has always stuck with me even though it's been years. At least Dr. Ng is currently not accepting walk-ins - sick people deserve better treatment!

I took a chance on their word and sped to get there as soon as I could. Arrived right on time and THANK GOD - they took me in even though their door was locked. Super nice. Kept to their word. Made me feel important and like they sincerely wanted to help. They unfortunately had to refer me to the emergency at the hospital, but they were still really awesome. I had a sharp pain in my foot and he sent me to a specialist to get an close-up ultrasound. After that got a close -up X-ray and found the broken bone. That's something even a podiatrist could not intuit when I told mine about the pain with my new orthotics. Also, he doesn't say more than he needs to, just listens, and offers his expert opinion, and without attitude. He also helped me with another bit of information that steroid creams are not meant to be used for long periods of time because they cause thinning of the skin. That explained a lot and saved me much grief later. I did see another Chinese doctor here (no longer there) who was angry, he told me that he was only being paid $20 by OHIP to see me, and I guess that meant I should not expect too much of his time or effort. I was explaining to him where my wrist really hurt after falling onto Don Mills road after crashing my bike. I was concerned I broke a bone, and had looked up on my cell phone, the wrist bone where the pain was coming from. Wrist has many small bones and I was trying to show where the pain was coming from. He pointed to a sign on the wall that said, "Your internet search is not equal to my medical degree" and he proceeded to talk to me in an "expert" tone of voice that I most likely didn't break my bone, it was just a sprain. OK, how do you know? There was no real assessment and he didn't see the fall. And he told me he was no longer going to work at the clinic after the next day. OK, fine. Goodbye. So in conclusion, Dr. Woodward is my favourite doctor there, very nice, and the receptionists are nice too, or at least, they have been nice to me.

Wonderful Doctor! Waiting area is a bit cramped. Can only seat 6 patients. I recommend this Walk in clinic and Dr. Bressler. After 2 doses of the medication, I feel better already!
