The group was comprised of less then 10 people, with half of them having prior kayak experience. Well...the group I came with had no kayak experiences but Stacey and the others were very accommodating. They gave us tips and guided us through the small (yet adrenaline rushing) rapids along the Guadalupe. By the end of the session, I was exhausted (and sun burned). Overall, great experience. The 9am slot was perfect, first thing in the am and not too hot. Military or large group discount was offered for booking. The one way road to the zip line parking was pretty rugged, basically dirt and rocks, so take an SUV or truck in. Plenty of signage to direct you to the parking lot. After we parked, we checked in and met our two instructors Mack and Logan. During the first half hour, they helped get us into our gear and helmets, talked about safety rules and guidelines, and went thru a practice zip line. Next, we met Rodney? , the manager, ( sorry can't remember your name ) and he drove us in a small school bus up to the top of the zip line. Nice guy. There were a total of 9 zip lines ... the course zig zagged back and forth to each base, only towards the last line we walked a bit to get to the last zip, which was long ride . Easy peasy! The views were gorgeous, lush, and green as it had just rained the week before. Our young instructors and the manager were great, we felt safe and in good hands. Bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, and get ready for a good time !

There were trailhead signs on either side and both were clearly marked. We decided to start with the Savannah Loop which is approximately 2.5 miles long. There are about eight differently trails of varying levels of intensity. The trail was clearly defined and well maintained. The signs make it easy to follow the trail and find your way around. There were quite a few hikers this morning, many with pets on leashes. Everyone was pretty friendly and courteous. The trail was very peaceful and very quiet for the most part. We didn't see much wildlife, but we found some lovely views. We will definitely come back for the other trails.

I found this place while browsing online and I noticed all the reviews were really nice. $50 for an hour + $3 fee ? Hella yah! At first when I pulled into the neighborhood, I was confused and thought I was at the wrong place, but the place is actually immediately right outside of the housing division, it's not hard to miss at all. The driveway can fit one vehicle at a time- so be careful entering and exiting. I am 4'8" & weigh about 130lbs. And I'm always worried whether I can fit the saddle and stirrups. Main reason why I just haven't really found a place to get back to riding. There are so many horseback riding places that won't allow someone like me to ride their horses because of size. Which is hella crazy to me because jockeys are KNOWN to be my size riding 15-20 hands. We're born for this lol. Let's talk about arriving: once you make it into the driveway, it's a small parking area and there're some horses and some cute miniature horses for you to pet. There are a few stable hands setting up for the 9am ride (I had) and working really well as a team. Check-in was a breeze. Now Riding: Now I was put on Gigi's who's a bit smaller (of course) and the guy (can't remember his name) noticed that the stirrups couldn't be adjusted higher for me. But they said it was fine because as long as I can put my foot in and rest them a bit while pointing my toes down, Gigit will follow the leader regardless. And honestly, I wasn't worried. The guy was super genuine and everyone really trusts the horses. Like so much faith in them. That's how I knew I- personally- was in good hands. I was right behind Miranda who was our front-of-the-line trail leader. She was great. Patient. Got to know me a bit. But the trail itself was amazing. Went through some woods, then a a beautiful opening. Even saw a baby deer. They have a dog who followed along with us. He/she kept trailing in front of me and Gigit was right on his/her tail and the line behind me was slowed down further because I was already a slow rider lol. I was worried he would step on the dog, but I was like- it's an animals instinct to move lol (some times). I hardly had to tell Gigit what to do. He just kept following along and made his own turns and I felt so at ease. And when he wanted to reach for a leaf, he listened very well when we needed to keep going lol. They all do. All in all, best damn horse ride I've had in a LONG time. Very affordable too. You can bring a Fanny pack and keep your phone in your back pocket and wear a hat/sunglasses. Def wouldn't mind mentioning about getting some stirrups that fit petite folks like me but I ain't complaining too much because the experience was well worth it and they never once doubted that I wouldn't be able to ride. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR BEGINNERS and if you're petite like me and/or if you want to go by yourself like how I did!
