Actually, before we stopped, JT had all of the rods baited and ready to drop. That guy could tie a hook on in less than a minute. Kept the fishing area clean and ready all day. He also did a great job of moving us around when we all had fish on the line. I appreciated Capt C-Bo cheering the Ohio boys on, hi-fives and getting excited for them while they were reeling them in. He and JT were really good at coaching the boys on how to get the big ones. JT cleaned and packed the fish for our drive home. We did take one bag to McElroys later that night who cooked them for us, great call C-Bo. If you are taking rookies or veterans, the fishing experience on the SYL is worth every dime.

Within a call and a couple texts Sabrina had everything broken down for us in easy to understand terms even included some shipping charges for a ballpark weight of fish to North Dakota. I felt this was over and above. The pricing was clear as to number of hours 4-6-8 number of people in increments and the ability to mix and match the numbers to communicate with our group to decide what we wanted to do. They even allowed us to change number of people the morning of the charter do to an illness. And to our surprise I took the information she originally gave me plugged in the numbers length of trip final number of people and total cost and it matched perfectly the we paid. The mix and match numbers from weeks ahead matched with no penalty. We limited out on shark had to release a red snapper (out of season) and had plenty of Spanish mackerel and jack fish (hope I got that right) They only asked for a small deposit which was handled with a credit card and final balance we had the option of paying cash or credit card with a savings for cash. The fish were cleaned filleted bagged frozen and labeled as part of the deck hands pay which was an unsecured amount based on the tip if any he also did all the baiting and casting of rods unsnagging any of our miscues and netting and storing the fish on ice. He definitely deserved much more than a suggestion of 20% tip based on the charter price. I hope we exceeded the 20% as he certainly deserved it. They also had tee shirts and tank tops available at a reasonable price which I'm still wearing my tank top but it's certainly covered with layers considering the temperature here in North Dakota now. And personalized coffee cups if ordered at time if cha

Our evening began with snacking on 2 huge charcuterie boards in the galley while sipping our drinks out of Lily Faith branded stainless steel tumblers. We then moved to the deck to enjoy our sips and snacks in the open air as we made our way leisurely down the coast. We were treated to some of the best raw oysters I've ever had, courtesy of Eagle Point - Salty, clean, and soooooo delicious. And they were shucked right there in front of us! We relaxed on the lounger up front and enjoyed shrimp cocktail while we watched the sunset and caught sight of a few Dolphins and lots of birds. Captain Paul and our deck hand, Reef, were amazing. We even got to see a photo book that showed progress photos from where the vessel was lovingly restored by hand. This was one of the most relaxing evenings we've ever had! I can't wait to do it again! Just a few notes: they provided the snacks, ice, waters, and sodas, as well as insulated stainless tumblers. We brought our own alcohol. It was a little windy on the water, so if you tend to get chilly, bring a jacket or small blanket. They did let me borrow a huge Lily Faith towel to use as a blanket.
