Despite the many advances in technology, the level of competence and leadership of this facility has dropped significantly. I now trust the Dayton VA more than the 88th medical group, and if you're a veteran, you know that is a bold statement. For standard daily care, the clinics are average among most facilities, of which I have a fairly extensive experience. The 88th will likely never match the level of care available at most Navy medical facilities but on it's own, the advanced care staff are downright dangerous, most particularly the surgical staff. I have 35 years, 50 hospitalizations and 35 surgeries behind me, including here at Wright Patterson, and I have never seen this level of absolute incompetence anywhere, ever. Do not let them touch your dependents unless you plan to spend the rest of your life caring for them after being utterly debilitated and infectious with MRSA for life. Thar is not an exaggeration at all. Avoid theire surgeons and critical care staff like the plague.

I have been a patient of Soin since the hospital was built. Soin has never let me down in any category and continues to be the number 1 hospital in Ohio. The Er Doctor, ER Nurses and my Urologist Eric Esponosa are truly the best in the practice. They put the patient's needs first and foremost and with ultimate respect. These nurses allowed me to feel unsafe that I discharge my self early after only 1 night stay from a major surgery. They refused meds that were prescribed to me while I was in extreme pain. They allowed me to remain in blood stained sheets the whole time and played mind games with what meds I was able to take when my charts showed clearly I was prescribed the amount I asked. I haven't even received an after care call since I left. I hope that they re train them proper care to clients this was a very emotional experience i hope no one ever has to encounter again. The evening nurses and the dr who did my surgery were excellent.. but those two day time nurses need to fix their attitude and behavior. It looks bad on the hospital.

The woman that called was very nice and we ended up chatting about micro dosing glp-1 etc. She said she would speak to the doc and ask if I was okay to proceed since it was a microdose and the day of the procedure would be 5 days since my last dose. She said no news was good news. I even asked before we hung up "if I don't hear back, I should go ahead and prep, correct?" she said yes. I arrive today, the receptionist told me there is a message with a voice mails that was left. I have no voicemails and read off my missed calls- none of which were from the office. The receptionist even asked if she could see me phone. I explained the phone call called the tech (unsure of her title) who then told me that she spoke to me and never told me any of that. I went on to describe the conversation and then she said, "well you didn't talk to me." My husband even said, "you literally just said you spoke to her." then she denied having ever said that, then went on to say no one would have told me that. Why would I make it up? Why would anyone prep and show up knowing they wouldn't be able to have the procedure? As a premier health employee myself- that tech is an embarrassing representation of the company. So the next procedure will not be at this office. The office staff is pathetic.

Never dealt with a nurse, There is a medical assistant (MA). Meaning this person has a high school degree. Ohio does not require MAs to have a certification. Don't know about you but I want to go somewhere with experienced medical staff with extensive medical training! Evidently, this is why the focus at Fairborn Medical Center is anything but good patient medical care.

Neither the center, the physician, nor our insurance could or would give any indication prior to visit/treatment about costs or whether we should even be there versus suffering through until first available with doctor. In the few times we've had to take the kids after hours (because that is when everything bad happens), we've had a ridiculously hard time, even in the age of Google, figuring out where we could take them, how much it would cost, and weighing the options (sometimes you have no choice). When I asked "patient relations" what I should have expected or how I should have known this ahead of time, the answer was, "Just know that you're going to pay more during off hours." Thanks, every idiot knows that. I've taken the kids to other urgent cares AND to the ER, but the billing has not been this exorbitant. $688 flat fee for use of the room? $22 for an ointment I was told was a sample and given an Rx for anyway? And an additional $516 physician fee for taking a quick peek at pink eye? Apparently I should have expected that. Now I know, and so do you! The person kept trying to suggest a "payment plan" as if that was some magical solution, despite the fact that I told her I was calling based on PURE principle of the initial charges.
