During the midst of my divorce, I was…read morecontacted by agent Cassandra to notify me I would have to re-insure my car because of a new address. I explained I was transitioning to a new place and still between the family home and a rental. I missed a few of her calls but we spoke twice by phone. She then sent me a new quote and in the span of 9 days (6 business days) went from sending the quote to cancelling my policy. I was traveling for work for 5 of the 9 days and was not keeping up with personal email. What if I had fallen ill or simply not available for 6 business days ?! After landing at the airport from my trip, and driving my car for the weekend to take my kids around, I found out I was uninsured because the agency unilaterally cancelled my policy. UTTERLY rude, impatient, unprofessional. The SVP of the agency then emailed me a terse note explaining all the ways I was wrong. Never an apology and placing all the blame on me.

I found this company online and enrolled in a webinar to find out more about their services. I…read moremissed the original webinar due to Covid. They kept after me saying we noticed you missed the webinar and there is a recording but it's only good until tomorrow night. I did manage to watch it before the expiration and Mark Kennedy presented a compelling conversation about needing to not just save but to make sure your money wouldn't run out no matter how long you live after retirement. They empasized that the stock market was not a good place to have your money due to the ups and downs of the economy. So I signed up for an informational call and they were adamant to put the phone numberin your phone so you wouldn't miss the call to confirm the appointment. I did this and when I received the call, the caller was super rude and dismissive. He first asked if I had time to talk and I said that it was not a good time but that I had the appointment on my calendar. He proceeded to question me about how much $$ I had to invest and where that was invested. I told him I was in a public place and this was not a good time to talk. But when I told him that I was already managing some of my own retirement savings through a self directed IRA that is invested in sydicated Real Estate and that I had other parts of it in the stock market and asked him what kindn of investments they would recommend he said annuities and long term care insurance (which I do already have) it became clear that this firm is trying to sell us their own insurance products that will only benefit them, not us as investors. The very rude person on the phone also said I don't have enough investments for them to bother with although I had more than the required amount they originally stated. The guy was supor rude and said he was cancelling my appointment and hung up on me without so much as a goodby. I say good riddance to these hacks who are trying to prey on unsuspecting investors. No thanks. I'll keep my money where it is rather than give it to these crooks.
