I paid 450 dollars when I picked up my vehicle, and asked again to double vhdck they used the dealer part, They informed me it was th part I requested. Low and behold I broke down again, this time the 1st day of vacation 600miles away from columbia. At 1st they refused to help me unless I towed the vehicle 600 miles back to columbia. Fortunately my boyfriend works for plaza tire and went to talk to MD Trans. to make the situation right by them paying for my vehicle to be repaired at the firestone across the street where I was. When I got the receipts together, Firestone had only charged me 320 total while MD charged me 450 total. I was also then informed an autozone non -dealer part was put on instead of the part I had requested before service and when I paid for service. Not only did MD Transmission lie and take my money, they tried to leave me stranded while keeping my money and over charged me 150 dollars for a part I didnt ask for. Also my clutch pedal wasnt the same when I picked it up the 1st time and the tried to say it was normal. Do not have your vehicle repaired here, they take advantage of people, especially women and then try to play stupid about it!

My wife got in the car to bring it home and both compartments had been emptied, and the contents were scattered all over the floor. The local Ford dealer couldn't get me in for "3 weeks" and no one else seemed to have availability. I found Como Auto and they said they could get me. I sat in the waiting room and they were very busy with people/cars coming in and out but before I knew it they had test drove the car, ran a diagnostic, and communicated a straightforward assessment - a bad ignition coil. They replaced it and I was out the door in less than an hour. The price was very reasonable with no strange or surprising charges or fees. We brought our truck in to fix a seized brake caliper. A week later while on vacation I had to have…read morethe other caliper fixed as it caught on fire. I had to use a hose to put it out! The mechanic informed me a auto shop should know you cannot just change out one caliper and not change the other! The other caliper could lock up just like the other one. We also had to pay to replace the original brake line on the caliper Privitt should have fixed! Privitt charged $700 to fix one wheel. The other auto shop I took it to only charged $350!!! I would use caution with Privitt Auto Service!

My experience was about 5 years ago and was so bad I won't forget it…read more I brought a used pickup to Privitt for a license/safety inspection. Privitt's inspection result indicated over $1000 of needed repairs including ball joints, windshield replacement and more. I got a second opinion from another mechanic and had a Highway Patrol trooper supervise the second inspection. The second opinion, endorsed by the State Trooper indicated that I needed a $40 windshield chip repair to pass inspection. I called Privitt to give them an opportunity to make it right and inspect the truck with the State Trooper present. Privitt very quickly hung up the phone and declined to re-inspect my vehicle. Avoid at all costs.
