I have been going to D&K on Bellaire for about 30 years…read more They are HONEST, FAIR, SKILLED MECHANICS, and VERY REASONABLY PRICED. They aren't "pretty" or fancy, but Doug & Tony know their stuff. They will get to the bottom of the problem, and if they cannot fix it, will refer you to another reputable mechanic who can. (They do not do tires, exhaust systems, or transmissions) My favorite D&K story is when my friend took her car to them because her brakes were "spongey." When she returned to pick up her car at the end of the day, she was ready to pay for all new brakes, rotors, calipers, whatever. She was told "Ms. G, get your rugs out from under your brake pedal!" These White guys could have taken advantage of this single, Black woman and charged her an arm and a leg. There was "NO CHARGE!" I have been referring friends and colleagues to D&K for years. I don't know what my husband and I will do when they retire and close up shop.

I will never take my vehicle to another spot. Customer service is top notch and this team should be recognized for how awesome they are. I went to Eastwood Company Parma for car care products and this review is of the service I received…read moreand the car care products. You should know that I am just getting into car care products and know very little. ECP obviously didn't focus on car care products so their selection is not extensive or intensive. That said, I found everything that I needed to specifically care for my care. I only needed products for leather, interior protector, and wash because I had all the other products. I found Groit and Chemical Brothers products here that met my needs. I also found application pads and microfiber towels for cleaning. I noticed that they have all the other products I bought at another place for car care. I noticed that they had a power tool for buffing. Chemical Brothers sells a whole lot of products and ECP doesn't sell them all. It's best to call ahead to see if they have a product you are looking for. For instance, they had the VRP in a kit but not by itself but they did sell a another protectant. They had the Chemical Brothers leather protectant but not their leather wash and conditioner. But they sell Groit's 3-1 leather. Walking around the shop floor I thought the displays seemed informative and helpful to the buyer. The service was excellent and went above and beyond. One person who helped me said she uses all the products on her vehicle because she doesn't like to sell a product she hasn't used. She even offered to go outside to look at my car's interior so we could pick the right product for it. She was knowledgeable of the products of course and could give her experienced opinion. Heartily recommended ECP

That's impressive because they have such metal forming tools in stock so you can play with them before you invest. They have a shop where you can practice and a YouTube channel with instructional videos! I don't always work on cars, but when I do, I prefer Eastwood tools. Get ya some of that!

I decided to wait on the repair as I considered how to pay for it. After a couple of days spent pondering what to do, I decided to get some other repair quotes for comparison. My first stop was at Rick Yusi Automotive, who was referred to me by a friend plus their reviews were impressive. Not only was the repair quote less than half the cost of the original quote, but they did an amazing job replacing these critical safety parts. Additionally, while researching a check engine light warning, they discovered my gas cap was defective. Rocky called to tell me it might be the reason for the warning and asked if I wanted him to replace it. I told him to replace the gas cap and sure enough, no more check engine light. I expected that it would be an overnight turn around for the repair, given how busy they were, but imagine my surprise after dropping my car off in the morning to receive a call that it was finished by early afternoon. It's very hard to find service like this at such a great price. This will definitely be my new auto repair shop. I highly recommend Rick Yusi Automative for any and all repairs! They Rock!! The son Rocky does what is quick and will only put a Band-Aid on the situation but won't keep your car in good shape. Rocky told me something on my car was damaging the brake pad but couldn't/didn't tell me what. He did replace the brake pad but did not correct the issue. I don't have confidence anymore in the repairs that this shop does. I will not be returning to this shop.

They said they don't accept out-of-state credit unions, which I mentioned is where I'm financing . I've financed with my CU plenty of times and in Ohio, and on vehicles, and transferred money,I let them know not a problem! i can transfer the money - PNC, citizens? What bank do you prefer it's not an issue I'll still get you the money in the 24 to 48 hours. And I'll pay you right now to hold it. Chrissy or Christy who I was dealing with kept telling me they don't accept Credit Union money from out of state. And I kept explaining, it's not an issue of their concern where or how I'm financing, the check or wire transfer they will receive can come from another bank. So what bank they want it from? And she kept telling me it doesn't matter they won't take my money. I was adamant that that made no sense! I could get them the money however they wanted it and would pay right now to hold it. And I was literally told and I quote ; you can either finance with us or you can find a car in Michigan or Pennsylvania or wherever it is you're from, but we aren't accepting your money. I left a message for the GM and then, despite the red flags, I had put time into this , my credit union was already working on it so i texted her to please send me a bill of sale - I want the car I have the funding you'll have it within 48 hours and I'll provide money down to hold it right now. She got back to me a few hours later and said no I'm not doing that and we have a lot of interest in the vehicle so it is no longer available to you. WHAT?! what a bad reflection of the dealer group and Hyundai.
