However, the main reason I go into pet stores (and I go in pet stores all the time) is to see if there are any cute rabbits that I can buy. Gay Lyfe has cute rabbits for £25. I want one. I want one to live in my flat. I want that rabbit to sit on the corner of my desk and look at me whilst I write Yelp reviews. Kind of. There are loads of fish though, which I know nothing about. But there are a great many that come in lots of different colours and sizes and would be very interesting and exciting if you knew about fish. Gay Lyfe also does loads of pet supplies both for fish and many other animals. It has several staff working who are friendly and always knocking around to answer your queries.

Kittens, puppies, loads of Parrots, Monkeys, the usual rodents, CROCODILES!!, Fish, corral, Spiders, lizards, snakes, tortoises, turtles.... It's literally like a mini zoo in there and as if they couldn't make it any more exciting they've kitted the shop out to look like a Tahiti hut!!! I can't comment on the staff as I never spoke to any of them, but they didn't stare and I didn't feel like I had to buy anything. Why not a 5 star? I was really disappointed to see on entrance to the shop a giant tortoise that in the tiniest pen. It was bashing it's head against the side of it's pen and looked distressed when as we passed... I overheard one of the shop keepers say that the tortoise was banging it's head to get food... but i'm not too sure... Overall though I have to say this was one of the best stocked pet shops I've ever seen! All the animals cages looked clean as well and there weren't any nasty smells. I recommend going there if you are looking to buy your next pet or like me you just like to go and see all the crazy animals!! Come on! You know you want to go just to see the CROCODILE!!

The breeder that provides axolotls is Extremely rude when you try to help her. Swear you off, uses…read morevulgar language, isn't mature, and if they're not mature enough to speak to a customer then think how they treat their own store. She videotaped her axolotls attacking each other instead of stopping it. Said she can't afford tubs for them to separate them, but says she's "experienced" she goes off when I said I thought she was new at this because all Axolotl breeders plan out their spacing ahead of time. Can't take criticism if you look at the reviews on google she tells them they're wrong. Obviously not a people person and can't talk to clients respectfully.

They should NOT have moss in the tank it can kill them. Yhey need dried leaves as the substrate. They need UVB lights NOT UVA. Ro prevent Metabolic Bone Disease. Didn't tell me I needed specialist dusting powder and food for the crickets . Yes I should have done more research but naturally I trusted the advice. Also v expensive I have since discovered. I DO however LOVE my frogs.

(On one shelf I spotted swan food! I wonder who buys that?) I have two cats and so go in solely for cat food, litter and biscuits. It's good value for money, especially if you purchase in bulk. The staff will carry it to your car for you if you need help. In addition to the main brands they have a section called 'Cat Luxury Menu' which stocks the more expensive stuff like Sheba, Gourmet etc. The dog section is something else. A Dog Deli displays dog beer and turkey and cranberry biscuits. I kid you not. But for the pooch with more average tastes there's a huge selection of dry and tinned food. A great place for all your pet staples, treats and accessories.
