This is my go-to fresh seafood market and I've been to all of them near Holden Beach (not that there's anything wrong with the others). Pretty simple...they're super friendly and have local knowledge. Once they introduced me to triggerfish, it was all over. Heading there this morning to see if they have more, grab some shrimp, andouille sausage, lobster bisque, and some grits. Might even grab some Bloody Mary mix for a shrimp wreck Mary. read more

Very nice, friendly. local, fresh caught, right off the boat Fish Monger. Wide variety of fish, depending on what they caught that day -- shrimp, scallops, grouper, tile fish, etc. Lots of bottled sauces and other things that go well with fish. Right off the boat, the Fish Peddler is a great place to shop. read more

Another lovely visit to Holden Beach last week, and to Fish Peddler Seafood in particular! The FB page shows photos of fresh catches I just had to have... hogfish snapper, triggerfish, shrimp, and scallops. The staff were warm and engaging as always. A quick call let's you know what's available that day. Can't wait to come back. read more

Wide variety of fresh local seafood all at great prices! The workers were also locals that were very familiar and knowledgeable with their product and the area, as well as very kind, helpful, and hospitable. We ended up getting a few pounds of raw shrimp to add into a seafood boil and it was delicious! Some of the best I've had. read more

I found this awesome place back in the spring of 2020 when groceries were hard to come by. Their selection is fantastic and their shrimp is perfectly fresh. It is worth the visit. My new go to place in Holden Beach for fresh seafood. read more

This is my go-to for fresh seafood. They are friendly, the seafood is fantastic. Nothing fancy but this place is the best; triggerfish, tile fish, and of course grouper and shrimp, etc. read more

Good service. Employees were very attentive. Cons: 1.) Cocktail sauce. We love a spicy cocktail sauce, and the "spicy" one they recommended was hardly spicy at all. Very minor critique, but we love places that make their own and they only have premade brands. Would definitely stop in again to try out some of the other seafood they offer!

We arrived at 8:30pm on a Saturday evening and stood in a fast-moving line that gave us each time to choose from their long list of homemade ice cream flavors! My husband and I each ordered a scoop of Sea turtle. Our son ordered their new flavor, mocha latte: coffee ice cream with chocolate chips. Both flavors (mine was 99.9% vanilla) were delicious. The waffle cones were warm and crispy! I may have to go back tomorrow and give it another try!
