Upon check-in we'd learned that the limit is typically 4 people (700 lb maximum), but since most of us are pretty small we were well under that weight limit even as five people, so they allowed it (and I lived to write this review so, all good). After signing my life away and a very quick motor tutorial by a kid who looked like he couldn't be older than middle school, we were on our way. The motor on this boat took a little getting used to, but once I got the hang of it I was a pretty good captain (I'd like to think). We put down the anchor and got out to explore Bird and Gull Islands, then headed over to another beach with a hill to climb up and get a bird's eye view of the area. Before we knew it, it was time to head back to the harbor, but we kept the party going with some drinks and food (will review that separately). Jay (who I think is the owner or manager?) told us we were only allowed to rent a boat if we took a picture and it turns out he was serious (see the photo shoot results in my photos which turned out pretty cute). He took these on his phone so not sure what else he plans to do with them.

Capt Rons shark charter was the worst fishing charter ever…read more CONS: center console boat, no head, filthy porta potty, had to use a bucket to crap, no toilet paper, had to urinate off the back of the boat, the only seat was in splash zone, had to stand behind console going out and coming back in (10 miles). PROS: NONE This charter should have been rescheduled by Capt Ron due to rough seas, instead he took us out and asked us what we wanted to do. After the charter the capt walked past us as if he didn't know us.

Great bunch of guys running a boat on the South Shore of Long Island. We didn't go to any crazy spots, just a couple of popular spots with a few other boats looking for the same thing, Fluke! And boy or boy, my fish was an 8 pounder! $$ ;) The guys running the ship were nice. If you don't know how to bait a hook, they would have shown you but it you'll have to ask. My family know the deal, we've been doing it for years. When you go on any (4) hour fishing trip you'll need to bring: Sun screen Hat Beer/water You'll get thirsty in the hot sun, keep drinking! There is changing rooms , bathrooms , and showers . Everything is clean and everyone is polite . I didn't even see any garbage laying around . This is the first beach I've gone to which was actually really clean and people are really nice . The parking fee is only 15$ which is not bad at all then you can park anywhere and just go onto the beach . The sand is perfect its so soft and some shells but its easy to walk on . Its great for anyone family , couples , groups etc . The west Hamptons beach is a must to go to .
