Expensive, but we get what we want and it is still less expensive than going to a restaurant for the similar quality of food. Ambiance - Again, one of the largest Monoprix in this area. Upscale. See pictures. We actually opened a loyalty card to become a member to take advantage of the discounts. Message me if you have questions. Service - Self service. Price - Above average, also in a tourist area. So expect to pay accordingly. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1932. I also noticed some acquisitions in 1996 and 1997. Congrats with your 5 brands, approximately 400 locations, 250 in France and the rest abroad.

Yelp Review 2026 #205:…read more I was on a mission to get some French butter. I did my research and people were saying to go to Monoprix to get some French butter. It was so crowded. It was overwhelming. I spotted the fridge section that has beurre. But I wanted to check out other food items and snacks they had. But with all the people in there, I gave up and went back to the butter section. They have several brands but not the brands I was looking for. They didn't have a variety of flavors either. It was either salted or unsalted butter. So, I left empty handed.

I ordered the classic mojito, which was incredibly refreshing and not overly sweet at all. For my meal, I had the Fritto Misto de la Mer, a crispy fried seafood platter. The breading was light, crispy, and not greasy, and it was served with tartar sauce and fresh lemon, which paired perfectly. My daughter ordered the beef tartare, and it was excellent. My husband wanted something lighter but still high in protein, so he chose the tuna salad and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere and views were beautiful, with a relaxed vacation feel that made for a wonderful evening. Between the food, service, and location, we would definitely come back.

There was a little wait time so my friends and I went down to their beach club to wait. We were offered drinks while waiting and were able to sit down on the chair beds. We were quickly called up to be seated. Everyone was super friendly! There were so many good options on the menu but I ended up getting the tuna tartare pasta... I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was delicious! Everyone was super friendly and we got amazing recommendations by their staff. Le Galet was beautiful and I would definitely come back! I'd love to try them out during the day and book a beach bed!

This place has a great outdoor selection. I was fortunate enough to grab a table outside before the dinner rush. The server was very nice. She recommend the seafood platter because it came with different types of seafood and fishes. The food came out pretty quickly and I was impressed with the selection of seafood on my plate. There were mussels, shrimps, salmon, sardine, and sea bass with assorted grilled vegetables on the bottom. It was fantastic! The fishes were cooked beautifully and the amount was just right. The entire meal was just simple, not over-dressed with some sauce or butter. You'll know immediately if the seafood is good just by eating it plain...grilled with some salt and pepper. This place got it. It was the perfect dinner meal I was looking for. This place is great if you want a view and great seafood in Nice.

This place was a massive mixed bag and pure chaos…read more Reservations not permitted so it was very luck based waiting game. The person who greeted us was a mix of frantic, slightly rude and meaningfully overwhelmed. We arrived for dinner around 8pm and were told to wait 5-10 minutes for a table inside. 15 minutes later we were told 2 minutes for our table. 35 minutes later we were finally seated. We weren't in a rush, but also were freezing given it was pretty cold outside and there wasn't an indoor waiting area. We also noticed a couple guys walk in and get seated right away, we don't know the scoop, but couldn't help but be a little annoyed given we'd been waiting for 20 minutes at this point and reservations weren't allowed. We got in, it was warm, which was nice. It took us a moment to figure out what we wanted and the service definitely got better once we were seated. Although, unlike other French restaurants we'd visited, you could clearly tell they wanted to get you seated and out quickly. My wife, daughter and I decided to share the soup (which we heard was a must try while in Nice) and a seafood tower de oysters. The good: flavors were good, seafood was fresh. And everything came out quickly. The bad: this might be a me thing, but for €19 euro seafood soup, I'd expect there to be some seafood in there - it was only broth. Maybe that's just how it is, but I was pretty annoyed to get that bowl and not see a lick of protein in there. WTF?! I would absolutely not recommend this dish. We didn't have it anywhere else, so don't know how it's prepared in other locations. The seafood tower was good, but felt fairly stingy for the price. Overall, glad we went, definitely wouldn't go back. Food isn't bad, but it feels very very tourist trappy.
