Schwaebische (Swabian) spaetzle, pomme frites, and of course lots of different schnitzel, a main stay of Germany-South. The other area the menu goes deep and exceptional is on panned meats. The germans call it Pfanne. Maybe a mix of steaks in the pan, pork cutlets. If you know some german you can bargain for different sauces on your meats, and then go for spaetzle, pommes or a mix is ok with them too.
The Familie Bosch team is relaxed so you definitely ask for things and they will do it. It is a big team so ask anyone on the team for help if they are too busy to see your need.
Decent wine list, good schnapps for afterward. It was the best real german on our trip through Frankfurt, Baden, and Berlin.
Like you were at grandma's house, and they have a patio and 3 different rooms, I like the rooms in the back near the patio, or the patio itself.
