*DO NOT SEE Heidi Dempsey* I went in to get stitches out, 3 separate times. First visit was fine it was with a different doctor but he said they weren't ready come out this day they'll be more than ready. I come in suggested day, I get Heidi. I am someone with extreme anxiety so going to a urgent care is hard to even think about but she made everything worse. Heidi Dempsey walked in the room and from the moment we saw her INSTANTLY you can tell she has 0 confidence in what she was doing. She did not assess the wound, she did not talk to me abt what the steps were, but the worst SHE YANKED my stitches out instead of slowly pulling them out. She very obviously had no idea what she was doing she was shaking the entire time and had a bad attitude. I asked her to help me rewrap it up (she couldn't take anymore out bc while yanking the stitches she reopened the wound) she ignored me. I asked for extra gauze (other drs would give me some) She gave an attitude and acted like i was asking for the hardest thing ever. Anyways she also had to re glue and tape it bc she removed the stitches wrong, she taped over another stitch instead of the hole she created so the stitch was poking the open hole for 3 more days and caused extra and new pain. I went in and asked for the dr i saw the first time and i told him everything that happened and he was surprised and told me she was wrong and the best thing i can do is write a review warning others not to go to her. So PLEASE NEVER EVER get care by HEIDI DEMPSEY she made my recovery process 10 times longer and it was so unavoidable if she would've just owned up and said idk what i'm doing. Good luck to anyone who ever is in her hands don't be submissive and be intimidated like i was please stand up for yourself. read more

Really nice office. The staff is helpful and kind. I showed up in such pain. They cared and found a solution for me fast within the hour was home back to my kids. By the morning I had relief. So thankful would definitely go back and highly recommend. Make sure you have insurance and ID on you other than that you are good to go! Nice doctors and super fast! read more

I already knew I had strep but needed an antibiotic so I went in for a strep culture (I was leaving town the next day). I waited for 20 minutes then the Dr came in and saw me for 4 minutes tops and told me what I already knew, I had strep, then wrote a prescription. Want to guess the bill?? $290 dollars!!!!!!! My insurance wouldn't cover it because my deductible hasn't been met so FirstMed Murray found it in the kindness of their hearts to reduce it to $210. Two hundred and mother effing ten dollars for 4 minutes of his time to tell me what I already know. I'd rather Advil my way through 10 days of strep than get ripped off like that. This is a great example of some greedy doctors who exploit those in need in our broken system. We need to spread consumer awareness and avoid these jerks. read more

I went in to get a Covid test, they are one of the only clinics where they charge the most money for the test $45. Most other places Covid tests are free, why is it so expensive here? I went ahead and took it because I was desperate and needed to know right away. They did not tell me that they also charged for a doctors visit which I did not need and did not request. One month later I got a surprise bill for $480. Worst clinic ever receptionist needs to give all information to sick patients when they come in asking for help. read more

Literally avoid this place at all costs. I went here for a pre-employment drug test and they had the absolute worst care I have ever received. I waited an hour for a less than 2 minute per in a cup experience. Their staff was rude and inconsiderate. read more

We came in about 30 minutes to close and saw Dr Matt Neddo. Let me tell you- I have yet in my life to have an experience with a Dr that was anything extraordinary or memorable. But this Dr was awesome! He worked quickly but was in no rush. He truly took time to talk to us, even about things that were not related to the injury. He went above and beyond in all aspects of customer service and his profession. Amazing doctor. Wish he could be my PCP! read more

If I could give zero stars for this place I would. I saw Dr. Josh Bailey for something I was clearly super embarrassed about, and he basically told me I should be embarrassed while seeming completely disgusted by me. Whether he was joking or not, I was in VISIBLE pain and just looking for help and some sort of comfort (Which I ended up getting elsewhere, but still have to pay $109 for a joke of a visit, don't waste your time here). For a doctor he is clearly lacking in the bedside manner department. I will never go back here from this experience alone. read more

My son, who has frequent ear infections went there last night and was treated like he was wasting their time.2/29/20. My son had to ask if they were going to look in both ears not just the one and they said "oh right, we should look in that one too." So, yes he had an ear infection, was not faking it. Has been in incredible pain all afternoon and asked if he could get anything for the pain, was told no, asked for maybe some Ibuprofen 800, nope. It is 2am and he has been crying in pain for the past four hours and his eardrum ruptured 15 minutes ago. Thanks, next time I will go to the one in Cottonwood, will never go here again. I should also mention that I am a registered nurse, so I know how patients should be treated, maybe this clinic needs a refresher course. read more

Drive out of your way to NOT go here. Train your millennial front desk dude how to work or hire someone who actually cares about others and wants to do their job. We were the only people there and he wouldn't smile, help, or actually do his job of calling the insurance for the policy number. Went to St. Marks instead and they happily helped us, called to check insurance, and treated us like one should be treated when a bone is sticking out of your arm! read more

150.00 for a crappy attitude and Ibprofen!?!?!? I have seen Matt Neddo several times in this clinic over the years because it is close to my home. My innitial experience was similair to some others on here but the last few have not been very good at all... I have gotten bad information, extremely poor service and as for Matts "extremely persponable manner" that initially seems sincere, I have come to find that it is really just your classic Utah ward house, phony, smarmy crap. He really could care less. At any rate, my last visit this past winter was very memorrible for how absolutely horrible it was. I told Matt that I thought I needed codine cough syrup (I had already explained that I had an extremely deep chest cold with a very painfull and persistant cough that was so violent I felt I was going to break my ribs at one point in the previous night from caughing so hard and was not able to get any rest ). After Matt gave me a bit of a disbelieving scowl of distain ( I can only assume, for the drug addict he preceived me to be, since I had the nerve to have asked specifically for what I knew would do the trick and get me through it) then he prescribed me Ibprofen or something like that. A visit to this clinic is a 150.00-ish, that is kind of a lot of money to have someone look down their nose at you and in a very superior and judgemental way speak to you like a naughty child when your feeling pretty horrible to start with and prescribe something you can pick up at any store and most of us already have in our homes and would have tried prior to spending the 150.00 in the first place. I am 50 years old, I asked for what I knew would work because I AM 50 FREAKING YEARS OLD AND AFTER 50 YEARS IN THE SAME BODY I KNOW WHAT I NEED MOST OF THE TIME. I realize there is an opiate problem in our country and Doctors need to be careful about what they prescribe to whom... but someone in a lot of pain whose symptoms are inline with what the indications are that the medication treats is that not what the medication was designed for... what the @$$#% ??? I dont know Matts reasoning, and I dont care. I hope noone else goes through what I did. If it were in my power he would never see another patient again, when he eventually needed accute pain treatment he would be provided with an Ibprofen and this clinic would be closed immediately. I will never go back to this clinic for any reason ever. Mattt Sucks, the First Med clinic sucks!!! Save your 150.00, ask your cat for medical advice (it will do you as much good as asking Matt, save yourself the "Matt Neddo treatment", cut out the middle man and get yourself some ibprofen. Go anywhere else but here! Oh and I almost forgot their billing department sucks, sucks, SUCKS!!!!!! These guys have the right amount of attention and acumen for Mosquito abaitment (maybe) but not for dealling with sick human beings. read more

I wanted to let my friends here in Salt Lake to know Do not ever go to FirstMed Urgent Care - Murray. They were terrible. We went when my wife and I were sick and they told us they wanted to give our daughter something to help her to not get sick too. Then proceeded to charge us $150.00 each including daughter for having to see the Doctor, that's above what the insurance which they claimed to take covered. We are fully covered insurance wise through my wife's job through the University of Utah . We saw the Doctor for 30 mins max and were charged $450.00 for being diagnosed with a cold. We told him our daughter wasn't sick didn't need to be seen and the Doctor told us we wouldn't be billed for all 3. I tried explaining this to them over the phone to the rep for First Med. She said that "We don't do that. How would you Like to pay?". Highway robbery and the worst doctors visit. We later went to our pediatrician, who we like very much, who told us the medicine prescribed was garbage and not to put our daughter on it. I will never ever go back to FirstMed Urgent Care - Murray. I recommend that you guys never go there either. read more
