When I contacted customer service to request a goodwill adjustment, I was told they could not help me over the phone and that I would need to handwrite and mail a letter requesting leniency. In 2026, requiring customers to send handwritten letters for something that could be reviewed in a few minutes feels outdated and unnecessarily burdensome. I understand lenders have policies, but there should be room for common-sense discretion, especially for customers with otherwise positive payment histories. Reporting a customer to the credit bureaus over a $10.38 balance that was resolved almost immediately feels punitive rather than customer-focused. This experience has left me questioning whether Fitzsimons Credit Union values long-term member relationships. I expected more flexibility and better customer service from a credit union.

They have a great app for checking your accounts and have recently added the feature where you can do mobile deposits. It is really cool and fabulously convenient. I deal with 2 area banks but most of my business has come here because of the superior service and communication. I recently even refinanced my car just so I could move the loan to them.
