So MidIsland still owns our house 4 months ago the house next to us had a fire. Luckily everyone was safe but we had some damage. Our homeowners insurance paid us $80,000 quickly (check made out to us and MidIsland) but MidIsland has been making it very difficult to get the money. First Incorrect information about endorsement of the check delaying us getting any money. then questioning amount insurance paid us (cannot understand why they care) Which delayed almost a month Because adjuster said 76,000 and check was $80,000. Then scheduling inspection appointments to receive more money and not showing up. We are seniors, trying to pay contractor so taking it out of retirement, etc. Would never recommend MidIsland to anyone
