My mind and emotions tonight aren't letting me sleep and my mom taught me that the most healing thing a person can do is to express gratitude and do things for others. So I am sleepless and I'm here to express gratitude to the employees at the Norman branch of Communication Federal. Getting mom's assets into her trust in the middle of caring for her in her final days was really tough and she (as a depression-era saver) banked and invested at many places. I had to work with seven financial institutions and Communication Federal stood out for their kind, compassionate, human commitment to helping me when I most needed compassionate assistance. The manager at this branch, Chasity McCutcheon, was incredible. She personally shepherded the completion of our paperwork so I could focus on other things and she ensured that others with higher review authority called me personally to reassure me that, at least for Communication Federal, everything was going to be okay. Today, on the hardest day of my life, when I needed one thing to be easy, Chasity and her wonderful team made it easy to find out how we would cover expenses while we wait for dust to settle. The peace of mind this institution offered me (and my dearest mother in her last days) could never be overstated. Thank you, Chasity and Jeff and everyone else who touched our accounts. May you be paid back in kind one day.

The biggest was a nightmare: severe roof damage that led to a leak and widespread damage throughout our home. What followed was over nine months of exhausting back-and-forth with corporate representatives. In the end, despite our loyalty and persistence, State Farm cancelled our policy and left us hanging. Just when it felt like everything was stacked against us, our local agent, Zack Nashert, stepped in--and completely changed the story. Zack treated us like human beings, not a case number. He listened. He cared. He took ownership of the situation in a way corporate never did. He went above and beyond at every turn, even working on Christmas Eve, reassuring us that he would do absolutely everything in his power to keep us insured after all these years. And somehow--against the odds--he pulled off what can only be described as a Christmas miracle. We're insured, we're secure, and we don't have to start the new year scrambling. Thank you, Zack, for saving the day, for genuinely caring, and for treating us like PEOPLE. If you want an agent who actually shows up when it matters, Zack, Cindy, and the rest of the crew here are the real deal.

Avoid Waggoner's Home Services…read more I used Waggoner's for four years and held a maintenance contract with them in 2024. I cancelled that contract after repeatedly poor semi-annual checkups, but kept them on as my AC service technician. After this last experience, I'm done with them entirely. My AC compressor was running but no cold air was reaching any registers, so I called for service. The after-hours technician found that the cover was off the filter, replaced it, and told me the unit was working. He noted the filter was old and dirty but didn't offer to replace it. On his way out, he mentioned the call-out fee would cover any related problems for 30 days. The next day, still no cooling. A second technician came out and immediately declared the filter was the problem, saying he "couldn't diagnose anything without a new filter." When I asked why the first technician had left it in if it was the issue, he didn't have an answer. He quoted me $145 for a new filter and had me sign for it. A colleague was sent to bring one from the warehouse, and afterward someone told me the airflow was "much better now." He then said the unit was low on Freon 410A and could top it off at $240 per pound (2-3 pound minimum) after a $239 leak check. By this point I'd been charged $285 -- $140 for the service call and $145 for the filter -- with no solution. I called the main office to complain. They offered a free leak check, which turned up a small leak, followed by a roughly $1,500 estimate for two hours of labor and Freon. I declined and called another company. The technician from Arthur's Heating and Air Conditioning arrived the next day, found the unit completely iced up, and pulled the filter to show me -- it was the same filthy, original filter. The new $145 filter I'd signed for had never been installed. When I called Waggoner's, the office manager said there "must have been some miscommunication," and claimed the free leak check had been given "in lieu of" the filter -- even though their own technician had told me the new filter made the airflow much better. Bottom line Waggoner's came out twice, charged me $140, had me sign for a $145 filter they never installed, let me believe it had been replaced, and left the unit exactly as they found it. Their Freon is also wildly overpriced -- $240 per pound versus the $102 per pound I paid at Arthur's. Do your research and shop around. There are quality HVAC providers out there. Waggoner's isn't one of them.
