One main thing I love about this gym are the little messages that they write on their wall. They welcome all types of body types and are willing to help if you ask. They do offer certain classes, I believe on Wednesday's and Saturday's. There are certain staffing hours but the gym is opened 24 hours, so you can get your work out on anytime as long as you're a member. They have most of the mainstream equipment and several cardio machines. The energy drinks are a little pricey; however, if you need a little pick me up then at least they have something to help. I recently found out that they also can order bulk supplements for members. Overall the gym is welcoming and not as crowded as mainstream gyms. It's all that one can really ask for! :)

Never more than 2-3 other people and there's plenty of room to social distance. The equipment is plentiful and well maintained. Overall gym looks clean, and feel okay with what I pay for my membership. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because when I signed up, I couldn't get a person to reach. Left multiple voicemails, and went during "staffed" hours. Nobody called me back and I eventually had to call corporate for them to contact the owner. Once they did, the owner contacted me and we finally got that sorted. I don't feel like I should have contacted corporate, but I'm glad it was resolved quickly.

Within five minutes of stretching yes, stretching in what we reasonably assumed was a designated area, a staff member approached my wife, my nine year old son, and me to ask my son's age. We were then informed, rather abruptly, that no minors under 13 are allowed in that area. Fair enough, rules are rules. Except those weren't the rules we were sold the day before. At signup, we were clearly told that members 13 and up may work out independently, while children 12 and under are allowed so long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. When we pointed out the contradiction, we weren't met with clarification... just a stern double-down. The issue isn't the policy. It's the delivery, the inconsistency, and being corrected in front of a child after being given conflicting information less than 24 hours earlier. SO HERE IS MY TAKE AWAY. Don't rely on the sales pitch. Read the fine print, ask for everything in writing, and understand that what's promised at signup may not survive your first five minutes on the floor.

Sentara uses their pool for physical therapy during set hours and during that timeframe no one else is in the pool but therapy patients. So I really enjoyed that. The locker rooms had showers, blow dryers, and lockers which is great. There's also a machine that spins your bathing suit to get the water out. Which comes in handy!! You can bring your own lock or borrow one from the front. They have water fountains that you can refill your water bottles at with ease. The building is clean and the staff are friendly. Check them out!!

Thankfully, my niece was in town so we all decided to go together. With my daughter's membership, we both were able to accompany her for just $10pp. At first glance, this gym was very spacious and very well maintained. It had a huge, open area with treadmills, ellipticals and stair masters then other areas that included free weights, weight machines and bikes, among other equipment. I was very impressed by the swimming pool and the large hot tub as well. We started on the treadmills as a warm up then worked our way to the upper body machines. I noticed they had cleaning wipes conveniently located, to wipe down the machines when we were done which was a plus. As we were leaving, I noticed the Onelife Cinema and asked the lady at the front desk about how it works. She mentioned that they show a different movie every day (the movie is on repeat) but the room includes treadmills and workout equipment for you to workout and watch a movie at the same time. What a concept!!! I haven't decided if I am going to join yet but this gym is absolutely beautiful, spacious and very well ventilated. The staff is also great and I would highly recommend stopping in if you are interested in joining a gym.
