There were a bunch of adult AND baby sized manikins that would blink red or green lights as you're doing compressions. Quan made it really easy to understand, and was super patient with everyone. He asked us if we wanted him to repeat any information for us and really taught us all of the necessary steps. About a 3 1/2 hour course and you can easily register online or even pay in person $$ The woman who was helping us sign in would wipe down the manakins with disinfectant right after we used them. This is the most affordable class I've found and I'm glad I took it. I didn't expect it to be so interactive but I'm glad it was!!

We powered through all of the modules without breaks (we all agreed on this, of course) and were done an hour earlier! It will take you half a day to complete the course. You will do exercises (wrapping a bandage, CPR, AED operation and more tasks) but there is no written test for certification, just participation. My colleague and I walked out feeling more confident and equipped to handle situations that could arise at work (we deal with the public when we are open, so it is a requirement on our employer to take the class). I will sign up again when I have to re-certify in two years with this company.

Place is kind of hidden, limited parking or you can also park on the street. This place is very clean, and cute haha I had the privilege to meet Lori very briefly, the owner, and she was really sweet. I took a class with my cousin. I think this place is new because I've never heard of it before and there's not many reviews on Yelp. Our instructor is Njoki. She was very friendly, welcoming and entertaining! I love her. She made you feel comfortable. The course was supposed to last 3 hours but it goes by really fast and you won't use up all the time. It was more like 2 hours for us since it was a smaller class plus the information from the videos can be redundant. My cousin and I were the only students for that class which I loved! I learn better in smaller groups. I don't like crowded classes. I know the one on Meridian always has bigger classes. You watch videos and then you do the hands-on party right after or along with the video. Njoki repeated the main things you needed to know on the test you took at the end so it stuck with me. I was worried about that part because it can be a lot of information to take in especially if it's been awhile, your first time, and that they change every 5 years or so. Be ready for a workout! I was out of breath and my arms and fingers were hurting haha My arms were sore for the next 3 days. We went through adult CPR, infant CPR, choking, AED Use and took a test at the end. Don't worry about failing. There's 25 questions, and they're pretty straightforward. The videos repeat and bold the important parts on the screen. Njoki also tests us along the way and repeats the correct answers and also reviews with questions on the test. Place was very clean. It was very cold that day and the place was heated so I was comfortable. The class was very fun and informational. Njoki was a great instructor. Prepare for laughs, an intense workout, and prepare to be extremely out of breath from all the chest compressions and counting out loud. I definitely recommend this place to anyone. The fee was $75! It is cheaper than other locations in San Jose. Will becoming back here for my renewal haha !

I was recently told I am booked at a mobile drive "across the hall" that I never made. What makes this worse is the blatant hypocrisy: I receive daily emergency emails claiming blood supplies are critically low, yet while sitting in the waiting room today, I watched multiple willing donors--both walk-ins and appointment holders--get turned away. The staff shows zero respect for donors' time. People take time out of their busy schedules to do what they. An to try and save lives, only to be met with disorganization and indifference. I am done wasting my time. I will gladly drive any distance out of my way to donate at Stanford or another center that actually values donors. Please remove me from your call and email list.

However, it didn't take long for us to realize how warm, professional, and thoughtfully run this daycare really is. At first, we did have a small concern that the number of children seemed a bit high compared to the number of teachers. However, during our meeting, the staff clearly explained that the daycare strictly follows California's teacher-to-child ratio regulations. After spending some time here and observing how experienced and capable the teachers are, we quickly felt reassured. It became clear that the team knows exactly how to manage and guide the children in a calm and structured way. One thing that really stands out is Perl's leadership. She is very hands-on and actively involved. She organizes events and is often outside observing the children while they play. If she notices any inappropriate behavior, she steps in immediately and gently corrects it in a calm, professional, and patient manner. As a parent, it is incredibly reassuring to see someone guiding the children so thoughtfully. Another detail we truly appreciate is that the director's office is intentionally located along the drop-off and pick-up walkway. Because of this, we frequently see Perl or the assistant director, Marissa, when dropping off or picking up our child. We can easily say hello, have friendly conversations, and talk about how our child is doing. At some daycares, if you ask the director about your child, they might just tell you to ask the classroom teacher. Here, that's not the case. They are approachable, engaged, and genuinely interested in the children and their families. As parents, we can sometimes be picky or have many questions about our child's experience. What we really appreciate is that the staff here always listen patiently and respectfully. They never dismiss concerns and always take the time to communicate thoughtfully with parents. That kind of openness and respect makes a huge difference and builds a lot of trust. Perl has extensive experience and shows a great deal of respect and empathy toward each family. She understands that every family has different backgrounds and situations, and she approaches each child with patience and care. Under Perl's leadership, the teachers are incredibly kind and caring with the children. Each teacher has their own style, which we really appreciate. Some are firm when needed, while still being warm and sweet with the kids. I was especially impressed when I read one teacher's profile card explaining her philosophy that every child has a different personality and should therefore be guided in different ways. That level of thoughtfulness really stood out to me. Other many teachers also show a very genuine love for the children and treats them almost like their own. The outdoor play area is also fantastic. In the afternoon, it naturally gets shaded, which helps the kids stay comfortable even during warmer days. The staff are also very attentive to the weather and will bring the children indoors when it gets too hot. The daycare also does a wonderful job celebrating diversity. There are many family participation events, such as St. Patrick's Day celebrations, that reflect different cultures and backgrounds. In addition, the children participate in daily educational activities that support their development. You can really see the experience and thoughtful structure behind their curriculum. In addition, the daycare offers extra activity classes such as dancing, soccer, and baseball. These are wonderful programs that give the children opportunities to stay active, explore different interests, and simply have fun while learning new skills. They also offer a monthly "Parent Night" on Friday evenings. For a small additional fee, they care for the kids until around 10 PM, giving parents a little breathing room. The kids enjoy movie nights and fun group activities organized by the teachers, and our daughter always comes home excited after these evenings. We feel very lucky to have found this daycare. If we have a second child, we would absolutely choose to bring them here again without hesitation. For parents who may still be deciding where to send their child, I completely understand how difficult that decision can be. Choosing a daycare is one of the most important choices for your family. I hope this review helps ease some of that hesitation. From our experience, this is a place where your child will be cared for, guided, and loved--and you can feel confident in your decision.

All the teachers--not just our daughter's--are so gentle and caring. It means so much that they all greet her by name and even come out of their rooms to say goodbye. The facilities are clean, and we love how much time the kids get to spend in the big outdoor play area. All the kids seem happy and well cared for. The administration is also top-notch. When we had a paperwork issue initially, the director went above and beyond for over a month to get it resolved, providing regular updates along the way (thank you Ms. Pearl!) It's clear they truly care about the kids and their families.

Tyler Davis from first support CPR classes was great. I found out about the class through searching the AHA website after realizing that my BLS certification was expired. I needed to complete a BLS re-certification class ASAP as I am a healthcare worker. Tyler made it sooooooo easy!!!! I called him up, he told me how to sign up for the recertification class online and he scheduled me for a skills assessment the next day!!!!. In 24 hours I was able to renew my outdated BLS CPR certification. He is sooooo knowledgeable and easy to learn from. Before I completed the skills assessment he was willing to run through all of the AHA BLS recommendations with me. He answered all of my questions and more! At the end, I didn't just receive a piece of paper certifying me to perform CPR and basic life support . . . Tyler really gave me the confidence to know that I could deal with an emergency situation and save a person's life!!!! Tyler is a great CPR instruction, In the past, I didn't like to take the CPR courses at all, because in the past all of my instructors did not give me good information for both lectures and skills. I always fell asleep during CPR courses. Since the day I took CPR courses from TYLER, I really like it. TYLER is a wonderful instructor. TYLER explained everything very clear and very easy to understand. Especially, if you are busy, it is great to take his class because he divides lecture and skills into 2 days. You do online with your online lecture at home, then you will see TYLER whenever you have time for your skill or hand on. It saved me a lot of time. I found my go to place for renewing my BLS! Since moving to the bay I've still been depending on renewing my BLS whenever I make it back home to Hawaii (which is frequent enough). But I delayed it too long this time around...my BLS expires in a month! Tried a couple places in the area, and either no call back or no available classes when I'm free. Found First Support CPR, gave them a call and Tyler was quick to answer! Set me up then and there. Unfortunately had no classes that fit my schedule so he squeezed me in when I was in the area. Tyler came through awesomely at our Mobile Home Park's class for CPR/First Aid. Not only did the 22 attendees comment on his expertness, but also on his friendliness. It was a fun class and we all learned a lot. No question was 'dumb'. He walked around the tables which had the mannequins that we practiced on, observing and answering questions. Besides CPR, we learned how to apply an eppi pen, deal with bleeding, broken limbs, and choking. As an RN who retired 47 years ago, I learned some new ways to treat medical emergencies. read more

He truly embodies positive energy and makes lectures so much more bearable. His storytelling and advice were very eye-opening as well. I regret not approaching him for help more often. However, unsurprisingly, it's very rigorous. For anyone looking at an 8-week course, you will spend 20 hours a week: 10 hours on lectures (MW or TTh; 5 hours each) and 10 on skills (Sunday); of course, with breaks in between. Lectures will cover 6 chapters per week, and you will take lecture exams every weekend on the day of your skills instruction. You should be able to dedicate a huge amount of time to reading through the course material (at least 20 hours imo). So please reconsider your decision if you're planning to work or study full-time during the course. Otherwise, give it a shot! Be cool and professional, and most important of all, make sure you have a great time. I promise you, it'll be worth it.

She gave us directions to the right campus and we were on our way. Once we got to the auto mechanics building, the instructors and students were friendly and helpful. They spent about 45 min with us and showed us around. Its clear they know what they are doing, with hands on experience and appear to be connected to the area for future jobs after the program!

I took the first of these, which I believe is the Product Manager Certificate, in July/August of 2020. The COVID-19 situation meant our class met virtually, I try to take that into account into my review. I feel like I need to separate my review into two parts, the instructor and the curriculum. First our instructor, Adithi: 5 stars, only because that's the maximum number of stars I'm allowed to give. From the beginning she has been incredibly generous with her time, knowledge, and resources. She's passionate about product management and eager to share that passion with her students. She also brought in guest speakers with extensive experience in the field, which added a lot to the conversations. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Second, the Product School curriculum: 3 stars. It ticked all the boxes for what I would expect from an introduction to product management--personas, product discovery, minimum viable products, roadmaps, etc. But it didn't seem to offer any value differentiation above reading various Product Management books, which I've done. Furthermore, the curriculum railroaded us into several pre-defined class projects. These were confusing and placed arbitrary constraints on our project development. And while I enjoyed working on this final project as a team, I also would have liked to build my own project from start to finish, for a real company of my own choosing. I believe Product School has recently overhauled its curriculum, and frankly I feel a little cheated because our group was one of the first cohorts to use this curriculum, which I don't feel is ready for prime time. I'm sure Product School will use this feedback to improve, but sadly I won't benefit from these improvements. Still, the chance to learn from Adithi and work with some amazing teammates still made the overall process worthwhile.

This was exactly what I needed to get familiar with a professional woodshop and all the essential tools. The class accomplished its main goal perfectly: giving beginners hands-on experience with the equipment in a safe, structured way. Over two Saturday afternoon sessions (3.5 hours each), we made a simple candle holder while rotating through practically every major tool in the shop. We used the sliding compound miter saw, jointer, planer, table saw, band saw, router, and various sanders. While the project itself wasn't particularly exciting, it was clearly designed to maximize tool exposure rather than create a masterpiece. David was an excellent instructor who prioritized safety above all else and patiently answered every question. The class size of about 10 people felt just right for getting individual attention. The woodshop itself is impressive with a fantastic selection of professional-grade tools. Parking was easy and the classroom was simple to locate. At around $150 per person, it's not cheap, but felt reasonable considering you're getting access to thousands of dollars worth of equipment and quality instruction. Just expect to get covered in sawdust! We had plenty of time to complete our project without feeling rushed. This class is perfect for complete beginners who want to learn woodworking basics in a supportive environment. It's specifically designed as a safety prerequisite for their more advanced classes where you can tackle more interesting projects. If you're thinking about woodworking as a hobby or just want to try it out, this is an ideal starting point. I'm definitely planning to take more classes here.

Recently I took Kate's class on HTML Fundamentals, and I learned a lot! Kate was very friendly and provided the right amount of encouragement and offered help when needed. Kate was also very efficient while also being thorough which allowed her the time to answer many of the classes questions. I would attend another of Kate's classes. Scheduling is the only reason I am giving this review four stars and not five. I've had all three classes I've taken rescheduled at some point. The reason I take these classes is to help me with current projects and tasks at my existing job, so when the classes are rescheduled it just delays my work.
