I will never go back! I was charged $250.00 for a night splint I could purchase locally or online from $19.95-$85.00, and the one for 85.00 has built in icing ability. It would have been nice if they would have been upfront about the cost of this item. I called when I got the bill to see if they made an error, and was told it was "medical grade" and my insurance covered all but 71.00 of it!! Not very ethical. And since my deductible wasn't met yet that wasn't true. That item (same brand) is readily available online for much much less. read more

Dr. Rahimi literally saved my life! I went to see him last October because of foot pain that was becoming more and more severe. After a quick examination, he instructed me to go have an ultrasound done and to contact a vascular surgeon. The ultrasound revealed that I had little to no blood flow to my foot. I eventually had bypass surgery that resolved the issues, but left untreated, would likely have caused me to have two of my toes amputated, as well as other dire consequences related to arterial disease. After seeing him today, and getting a full vote of approval, I have to thank him for his quick diagnosis that helped me take care of a disease I didn't even realize I had! Dr Mattana is a podiatrist. No one really wants to go to the podiatrist. You go because you need to. I had bunion surgery a few years ago and he was the best! I had so much pain before the surgery and zero pain now! I had heard so many horror stories about foot surgery being just awful. I know I needed to do it, but put it off until I was in pain all the time. I have to say, I had no real pain to speak of. My foot was swollen for a few days,but other than that, I had only slight discomfort and I took Advil for that. Dr Mattana did a great job and three years later, I'm still in good shape. I was referred to First Step Foot Care because of ankle issues (under statement). I seen Dr. Rahimi and he is absolute best.. He has a sense of humor (huge factor for me) and I have always felt he is always trying to get me back on track. I had surgery on the same ankle 8yrs ago and I have come further along within my recovery this time around with this surgery. The last surgery wasn't done properly and Dr. Rahimi has been there every time I have called. I am one that needs the facts, I want to understand what is going on and he shows me every xray and explains everything, in terms I will understand. :) I have had only the best times going into the offices with the nurses to the front desk girls (Carla xoxo). I am so very happy that I have found this place and the doctors care and so do the staff. I laugh every time I go and it is always a pleasure. Dr. Flood and his team couldn't have been more wonderful! I was in and out of there office very quickly, the girls at the front were very accommodating. I was referred to a physical therapist during my visit, as well as scanned for orthotics just in case I need them (that will save me a trip later). Dr Rahimi was one of the most rude doctors I have met. His staff was cordial and pleasant. He was uncaring to me, condescending, minimizing, and believed I needed no care. I went to another podiatrist who disagreed, said my problem was urgent and required immediate attention. I have never returned. read more

I can't speak to if Dr. Flood is a good doctor or not. I never got to see Dr. Flood. The office staff was a disaster. They couldn't decide if they took my insurance or not and after 1 hr on the phone the night before I was told yes they do and when I got to the office they told me no they don't (btw I live 45 min away) and as I was leaving they said wait we do. Then when I left they couldn't understand why I had no confidence in their abilities. "we would never get your tests wrong" really? so what, just my money? I would stay away from here! read more

Great service by dr rahimi however got the worst attitude from the receptionist named Carla. I needed my medical records released by my primary doctor so when she called them they told her they needed me to sign a release form to which she replied" ill just make the patient reschedule". I'm a busy person. I scheduled this appointment almost two months ago and do not appreciate her unprofessional conduct. In addition she waited 30 minutes to let me know. When I called my doctor they sent the fax right away and I was on my way. She was very unprofessional and I have even considered moving to a new podiatrist solely due to her unprofessional attitude towards me. I recommend dr Rahimi however would ask you to reconsider if you highly value quality customer service and do not like being treated like a child or maniulpulated by the receptionist. read more

Not only are the doctors the best you can find, the front desk and nurses couldn't be sweeter. They always greet you when you arrive and receptionists are always helpful in trying to get me an appointment that works for me. This office is very busy and they see a lot of patients which is understandable due to the great doctors. It's always been a pleasant experience even if I do need to wait I don't mind. As far as the reviews about the desk staff being awful, maybe you were in the wrong office. read more

Do not see Dr. Rahimi, in fact, look for a completely different facility. Dr. Rahimi was only interested in getting through his day. He was recommended to me, and he might of been good in the past, but this doctor RUSHED through the entire appointment including the steroid injection. He failed to inform, educate, and provide me with expected side effects from the injection. He literally said a few words... "pain will get worse, then better". Well an hour later, I couldn't get out of my car to get inside my home. My husband had to carry me in. Horrible patient care, no empathy with my serious issues, terrible office communication with ordered products, poor education with what is suppose to be their SPECIALTY. I highly recommend you not place trust here. I'm very disappointed these physicians can practice this way. Not sure how they sleep comfortably at night, knowing how many human beings they've done wrong. read more

Been there 3 times. Really no wait time. Dr Mattna doesn't spend a whole lot of time with you but he knows what he does. I have had to have surgery on two of my toes for 3 years and he has never pressured me into the surgery. He just when you can;t take the pain any more I'll take care of you. The office staff girls are great. I would recommend him. Oh and when I did not have insurance for a short time, he did not charge for the office visit. read more

Since I've had flat feet (no arches) as a child, bunions on both feet appeared in my mid-teenage yrs. I had met Dr. Mattana (referred by my GP) for a consultation about 15 years ago to discuss my options & because of not having pain at that time, decided to go with a conservative course of treatment like wearing wider shoes & special orthotics. At that time, he impressed me as a caring person who really wanted to do what was in my best interest. Now at age 55, the pain was getting to be unbearable when doing my favorite workouts & also my job where I have to stand all day. Many nights were spent soaking my throbbing feet in icy water and using those bunion splints that didn't do much at all. I once again called to see Dr. Mattana, surgery was scheduled, & ended up last week having a great outcome on my right foot. As soon as he lets me, I will be doing the other one. My experience was fantastic with this wonderful doctor & also the super friendly, efficient staff, especially Erin who helped me tremendously. Thank you everyone! read more
