Very helpful professionals. My sister, legally blind, broke the band of her "talking" wristwatch,…read moreand my mission was to get it repaired or replaced. I walked into Jeweler's Loupe, and a pleasant man asked how he could help me. He examined the broken watch band, shook his head and suggested that I buy a new band at Boscov's or Walmart. He said if I came back he'd put it on for me. I took his suggestion, bought what I hoped was the same size band and returned. The man was busy helping other patrons, and a woman approached and asked to assist me. I told her what the man had said. She nodded, took the watch and new band, put on a super-vision headset and went to work. In a few minutes she handed me the watch with its new band installed. I thanked her and asked how much is that. She smiled and shook her head. I asked "What can I give you?" and she said "A smile." I gave her a smile and a thank-you and shook her hand. When I think of buying jewelry, I'll think of kind professionals at Jeweler's Loupe. John Vincent, Dover, DE

Before speaking with us, she was already being short and dismissive with an older gentleman who was simply trying to adjust the time on a watch he had just purchased there. When it was our turn, she spoke to us in the same unhelpful and condescending manner. We left without buying anything. Customer service like that is unacceptable--especially in a jewelry store where professionalism should be the standard. Based on her demeanor, she might be better suited for a job that doesn't involve customer interaction.

I think Yelp would help with foot traffic. We planned our day around driving down to Dover to a different toy store. The other one was cool but didn't take us all day so we grabbed a bite and decided to see if there was anything else around. We found this little place 20 minutes out of the way. Google said they had classic Beast Wars toys. That's our jam. This place was everything we wanted the first one to be. Great selection of classic toys. Especially 90's X-men. Totally reasonable pricing and most were brand new. Even G1 Transformers still boxed up. So we decided to ask if the owners had anything in the back that wasn't out yet and BAM! G1 Dinobots in the box came from the back! They also showed us a lot they just picked up but won't be on the shelf for a few weeks. :( The owners were so awesome. They are super passionate about collecting and helping others collect. That's why they don't have their prices like most places. I mean where ya gonna get unopened classic X-Men for $5?!? ARE YOU CRAZY?!? Batman the animated series. Large wrestling section. Ninja turtles(not in boxes but bagged). I honestly had stopped collecting action figures for a lot time and liquidated my collection but this place makes me want back in. Anyway even if you aren't near this joint take a road trip. It's well worth it if you are a collector. Don't be scared to ask if they have stuff they haven't put out yet. Oh yeah they had classic Beast Wars in the boxes. Google didn't lie.

It's true - don't ever judge a book by its cover! This building is very welcoming and cozy - it does contain A HUGE selection, ranging from vintage and retro dishware/glassware, toys, furniture, clothing, framed art, games, home decor, and other kitschy items. It is overwhelming in the sense that there is many to look at, but not to the point where it's messy or untidy. Everything was well laid-out and placed, and there was plenty of space to move in and out of little aisles. The gentleman at the front was very friendly and welcoming and allowed all his patrons to peruse with no hassle. There was plenty to see! We saw old Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, old Disney figurines, Fiestaware dishware, and even 8 mm projectors. I found a cute desk decor for teachers, so I had to get one!
