My wife and I have been building a barndominium that will eventually be our retirement home. Knowing this is likely the last home we will own, I've been serving as the general contractor so we can be rather picky about the subs we use and the quality of the workmanship every step of the way. Making this house as maintenance-free and energy-efficient as possible is very important to us. Joe Garcia and First Shot Spray Foam were highly recommended by our welders as well as friends who have recently built homes and used them. These folks are very professional, responsive, honest and neat with their work. We sprayed closed cell before framing and then open cell before installing drywall. After the open cell was sprayed, I called Joe to discuss whether or not we had sprayed enough and to inquire about completely filling the space inside our 2 x 4" framing. Most people in the business of selling a product would gladly sell more if a customer is asking such questions, but not Joe. He spent a great deal of time explaining the R-value scale that's used for traditional insulation and how spray foam really needs a separate grading scale and why he thinks I've spent plenty and insulated abundantly. Joe wrapped-up by saying that if he built a barndominium for his family he would insulate his home exactly like he's done ours. We found Joe Garcia and his crew to be courteous, professional and both days ON TIME!!! They cleaned up after each job (vacuuming old insulation and installation of new foam). Joe answered all our questions and the crew did likewise. They explained how each step was done. We were amazed at how efficient and neat the whole process was. The jobs took two days and they did a fantastic job. Joe kept in touch with us each day and did not leave his crew hanging. Advertising works! I was behind a truck with First Shot on it, called the number and Joe was at my house the next day. They removed the old insulation in two days and sprayed the next couple of days.
