They are a great customer focused bank, with amazing customer service. They offer a wide variety of checking and savings accounts to meet each individuals needs. Some of the great perks that come with their checking accounts include: Totally free checking, free first order of checks, free instant issue debit cards that you can use the same day you open your account, no cut off time for deposits, free online banking, free mobile banking, free bill pay, unlimited check writing, and you get a free First Service Bank T-shirt when you open an account as well. They even offer free savings accounts which most bank no longer do. I switched when my old bank wanted to start charging me a monthly fee to continue to bank with them like many of the big banks are doing now days, and am glad I switched. The tellers and agents at First Service know me by name, are always friendly and very helpful to me when I need them. I love that with their accounts, they do NOT deny you an account based on credit score or any other reports that most banks run, they base their relationship with YOU not your credit report and treat their customers with respect. It's just so nice to be with a bank that doesn't try to nickle and dime you every which way they can in order to make a buck. They also offer terrific rates on personal loans and other types of loans. I will be getting a new car soon, and have already chosen them to finance my purchase. Can't say enough positive about the phone calls and email correspondence by real people who seem like nice people in every call (who actually know their bank policy and get a manager when necessary.) You know that ugh feeling you get when you have to make a call on something like this? With this bank, the idea of calling them puts a smile on my face. I joined for the high yield account and live out of state so wasn't caring or expecting much. Yet over several years of use, I've been thrilled. Better than any of the other banks/credit unions I've been using in the last few years. It's free to transfer external funds in. $5 to transfer out (free if you pull the ACH from the other bank.) On smaller banks and credit unions, many don't do ACHs yet, and charge if they do. Online set up has been functional and easy to use.

We had to make arrangements that were necessary for funeral stuff. The CD was 8 days from maturity. Bank of Ozark charged us 3 months interest, over $400. for withdrawing early. That's unbelievable. I will never use them again, never.
