We've completely flipped a home in Denver and have worked with tons of contractors - electricians, framers, plumbers, drywall installers - and most contractors have at least one mark against them. We've had pricey quotes, late arrivals, poor work, a complete lack of communication and pretty much every contractor has left us disappointed. Until now. Logan and his crew were punctual. They measured our yard the SAME DAY when we sent out a request for quote. The quote was e-mailed to us the next day. It was slightly higher than we had hoped for, so we decided to get a couple more quotes to compare. We called two other companies. One took about a week for us to get measured and quoted, while the other took over 3 weeks to even give us a bid. Both of the other bids were about 10-20% more than what FRC quoted us. So we texted Logan back, set up a date for installation and hoped for the best. Logan's crew arrived at 7AM on our scheduled date and worked until early afternoon in the hot Denver sun. Our job ended up taking two days to complete, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. These guys do quality work, are dependable, reasonably priced, honest and all-around fantastic individuals to work with. Heck, they even helped us repair a different section of fence from what they worked on at no extra charge. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. In fact, we wish we had more projects so we could hire them again. One last thing... don't be dismayed by the 1-star reviews they've received. Remember, it takes two to tango. Sometimes a contractor may decide a job doesn't match their skillset, or that the customer isn't a good fit. read more

Left several messages over 5 days still nothing from Logan or Kate. Our opener they installed isnt working. There was an evacuation due to fire and we couldnt get our gate to open! They'll take your money and leave you stranded! read more

To start with Logan was prompt with his estimate. I understand in todays business everyone is busy. Logan made me feel comfortable with all of my questions and concerns. Before and after photos. Logan did a great job with our fence given our unique situation! He is very knowledgeable and explained his plan of action to us in a way we'd understand. He worked quickly, efficiently, and in the rain! We'll definitely hire him again for other projects around the house. His pricing was also very fair compared to other estimates we got. read more

Logan and his team did a phenomenal job in completing my backyard fence project. Highly recommend, the price was unbeatable compared to other fence companies as well as the work that was put into the project. Before and after photos provided from a very happy client! read more

Logan and his team were incredible, start to finish. He was quick to come out and take measurements, he created several quotes for us because of the lumber price fluctuations, and recommended different styles. Their price was right in the middle of the three companies we received. We initially considered going with the lowest one, but didn't feel a very good vibe. We are so happy with going with First Rate Fence, they completely surpassed any expectations. They were quick, considerate and professional. I will absolutely be recommending them to anyone in need of a fence. The gate is gorgeous and my favorite part! read more

If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy company who actually knows how to do fencing then look no further! We had a different fence company who was highly reviewed in Denver come out to our property on 5 acre property in Parker for roughly 1,000 ft. of fencing. Halfway through the job I could tell they didn't know what they were doing and called them on it and they walked off the job. I found Logan and his company online. He came out to do a walk through of the property and explained how he would do the fence and why the first company was doing it incorrectly. They exceeded all expectations and completed the project in a timely fashion. Their customer service is above and beyond what I expected. We also had a delivery driver hit our keypad and First Rate came out to repair it. Me and my wife are both business owners and know the importance of reviews. I also know there are a lot of companies out there with a lot of good reviews who are NOT GOOD! This company is not one of them. Save yourself the pain and hassle that I went through trying to find a fencing company. This is a company you can trust who are professionals in their craft. You will not be disappointed. Thanks again First Rate Fence! read more

First rate fence replace my entire fence at a cost of over $7000. In less than 6 months the two gates they installed began to warp. I contacted first rate fence about this, and was told that "it's not atypical to see some natural imperfections since wood can be unpredictable." They offered to fix the gates with an unproven solution at a cost of $300. They also installed steel posts for us. The caps they used for the steel posts do not fit well. They also didn't cut the top off of one of our posts. First rate fence does not stand behind their work. read more

It's not often I leave reviews for businesses, but I was so blown away by First Rate Fence and Supply that I felt the need to tell everyone else what a great job they did. First of all, the fence looks great and their price was the best of four quotes we received from different companies. What I'm most impressed with is their thorough communication. They went above and beyond and kept us in the loop the entire time. They even helped coordinate putting in a fence with our neighbor, and worked with us when our neighbor on the other side decided to make things difficult. They were also prompt in providing us with a broken down cost by side that we used to present to our neighbors. All in all I would highly recommend them, and would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

Logan and crew put in a perimeter fence and 3 gates in October 2020. Looked and worked great until gate posts "settled" and didn't open/close properly. They came out within a reasonable time period on several occasions to "fix" the gates, eventually putting in cables to prop the main double sided gate we use. All of the "fixes" worked for 2-3 days, then we continued to have the problem of needing to push/pull the two sides in order to unstick the gates and get it open. The tops of the gates were too close and hitting each other. The bottoms of the gates were over 1/2" apart, allowing for adequate space down low. Logan assured us his work was well done. However, he stopped returning calls and emails (9 in all) and finally sent us an estimate of $3,200 to put in a steel framed gate, which would "fix" the sticking gate issue. I had a knowledgeable and experienced handyman take a look and he said the one gate post was leaning too much. It was not stabilized to the same level of concrete as the other gate post. There was dirt only at the ground level. He place a cable in the opposite direction from the top of the gate post to the rest of the fence. This was one month ago and is still working to our satisfaction. Logan disregarded all of this information and I am astounded that he placed the initial cables from the top railing of the gate to the bottom of the gate: COMPLETELY ignoring that the post supporting the gate was leaning in and the cables should have been placed in the OPPOSITE direction to better support the weight bearing post. He did not respond to my email about why he claimed his work was acceptable; why they placed cables in the wrong direction to support the post; and why the post was not fully planted to the same depth as the stable, non problematic gate post. The fact that his website claims they offer first rate service, support, and maintenance was infuriating when calls and emails were not returned and he failed to recognize and attend to the underlying problem. I would not recommend First Rate Fence because of their follow up and failure to acknowledge a problem at installation. read more

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR TIME. I had the same experience as Matt B. below. Logan was very nice and quick to respond to my initial quote request. He and another guy came over a few days later and spent a good amount of time asking questions and measuring our space. He said I would have a quote within a few days. I messaged him back after a week, and again after 10days. Then, I left a voicemail that was never returned. I still have heard absolutely nothing and it has been over 2 weeks. I don't care if you don't want my business, but why on earth can't you just let me know? So unprofessional. read more

Seemed like very nice guys... but they came out to give an estimate, took measurements, promised a follow-up email and then completely disappeared. Nothing. For over three weeks. No email, no response to my texts, no answer to my phone calls, and no returned calls in response to my voicemails. I don't like taking time from my day to let strangers into my house for no reason. read more

We added a new dog to our family recently, which means we needed to feel safe letting him outside - a new fence was coming as a result. I built my own house 25 years ago, so you can imagine that I am not going to let just anybody work on my property. We interviewed several contractors that could do the job, but only one felt like family as soon as we talked. Logan is wise beyond his years and his team worked through some winter storms with no complaints. The final product was exactly what we discussed and I really appreciated all the personal touches too! We would definitely hire Logan and his team again and I highly recommend them for any project you might have. read more

First Rate Fence & Access Control - Chewy in his new back yard! - Fences & Gates Near Me - Kiowa, Colorado

We worked with Logan and his team in May 2019 for a fence around the perimeter of our yard plus an extra wide gate. Logan was such a great help, patiently answering all of our questions and helping us with design elements. His pricing was straight forward and up front, nothing snuck in at the last minute. He and his team worked fast and got the project done in a week. I think the best part about our experience, though, was that in the winter of 2019 we had some issues with our gate and a couple of fence posts. Logan and his team came back out and troubleshot the problem and fixed everything. We highly recommend working with this company! read more

I contacted a number of fencing companies after a recent wind storm. Most of the bids were comparable. Logan suggested a few options that I liked. They were able to fit me into their schedule for the next week and completed the work in two days; just in time for the next 70mph wind storm. My new fence held up to it just fine. The crew left no trash or piece of spare lumber behind. They were hard working and polite and open for any questions. I could not be happier with the work they did and my brand new fence. read more

First Rate Construction was amazing -- on time, dependable, budget friendly. I gave Logan (the owner) a sketchy/limited description of what I thought our fence repairs might be, he gave us an honest estimate and started the repairs quickly afterwards. The project started and ended on time, Logan was respectful to our neighbors and ensured everything was clean and tidy before he left. He definitely takes pride in his work, I highly recommend First Rate Construction! read more

We are new to the area and found Logan through a recommendation. I had a wooden fence with 15 rotted 4x4 posts set in concrete. Logan replaced all the rotten posts with metal posts set in cement. Logan cleaned the work area everyday and did a final complete cleaning at the end of the job. The fence will hold up now for years. Logan provided an outstanding service experience transforming my rough fence idea into reality, and it looked better than I originally imagined. Logan was professional, a pleasure to speak with, and accepted nothing less than excellence on the install. This included a situation where some of the materials provided by a vendor were not to his standards. Logan identified the issue and personally addressed it to ensure our fence provided the aesthetic and quality we were seeking. I would not hesitate to have First Rate Construction help with any future projects. read more
