Run for your life! These people are thieves and liars.
Let's start from the beginning. I had to provide my own refrigerator which was a first for me as a renter. They claimed it was because someone once stole a fridge from one of their properties. I thought that was what security deposits were for but moving on. The first time I turned on the sink in the kitchen a pipe under the floor in the basement began to leave everywhere. This turned into a bill for $300 for me to pay. My roommate at the time got in such a heated argument with the manager because it clearly states on our lease that this was not our problem that he refused to deal with her ever again. This was after he had spend two days in and out of PWD offices to get power of attorney over the water bill because the homeowner and manager refused to lift a finger after our water was shut off because we could not access the bill. That is why a lot of times the homeowner will pay a water bill for renters.
Then summer came and we noticed the central AC was not working. After calling the manager several times and waiting months, a troop of non-certified workers came in to fix it. Turns out, there was no AC to fix! So I had to take off work yet another day to allow these men into my house to install a compressor (the cube that sits outside of the house that makes the AC go). After they were done they advised me to not open a few of the vents for whatever reason and still the AC was not strong enough to cool the upstairs. Probably because the unit in the basement was designed to heat and cool a house half the size. Another unresolved grievance.
After a lot of other nonsense that would turn just about anyone away from wanting to do business with these crooks yet too small to mention given the scale of their past transgressions I decided to get out. Then, to the surprise of no one, I had to sue them to get my security deposit back! When it was finally returned 4 months later it was for one third of what I paid, citing a broken kitchen cabinet and a hole in the kitchen wall. I will cop to breaking a cabinet. This is a quick flip house that was rebuild with garbage materials. Your run-of-the-mill cheap fixtures, windows, doors, cabinets, pipes and electrical installed by shoddy "the faster and cheaper this is done, the faster and more I get paid" moron. The hole in the kitchen wall was the size of a pencil yet somehow, to fix a cabinet door that at most could have cost $30 and a patch job that could have been fixed with a dab of spackel on your finger the total came to something like $700 in repairs. But oh the best is yet to come! Turns out the work WAS NEVER DONE! That's right, I paid a bill for repairs that never happened! Outstanding!
